I was really impressed by Stephanie’s debut novel, Mistaken Identity, so I was eager to read more of her work. I didn't have to wait long before the second book in the London Detective Agency series was released. In this sequel, PI James Moore is brought in to help when a woman's peaceful life is disrupted by a stalker. The police were unable to assist, so she turns to James for help. The only problem is that there's chemistry between them, but he has a rule against dating his clients.
This thrilling story is packed with mystery, danger, and excitement that unfolds at a brisk pace. It's a suspenseful romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Will James be able to uncover the stalker's identity before things spiral out of control? You'll have to read the book to find out. I'm looking forward to the author's next work!

Be My Little Baby is the next installment of the London Detective Agency series. And it did not disappoint. The author gives us back characters we love with others mixed in.
I enjoyed reading this book more than the previous one. In saying that I know that the books do not have to be read in order this book works extremely well as a standalone. Though you may want to go back to find out the other detective's story.
James is a workaholic. But he loves his job. Looking at another weekend at home James is thrown when Tessa ends up at his door.
Tessa has a stalker but a harmless one, based on the police department. So she turns to the detective agency, bringing them in and hoping they take her seriously.
A simpleton who slowly raised the escalations led James to believe he may be harmless. However he agreed to investigate anyway. Which is exactly what pushes the stalker to take it up a notch.
Attracted to one another will they be able to keep their feelings at bay while they solve the mystery of who is stalking Tessa? Time to test the limits and job in and be just as intrigued and thrilled to be engulfed in this story.

Such a fun read! I love all the British jargon! A good suspenseful read that keeps you guessing who Tessa’s stalker is. Great suspense with the perfect amount of romance to keep you invested in the characters outcomes. Also, loved that characters from the first book also appeared in the story.

What is there not to love about this book !?

Patrick , his fiancé Evelyn and James run their own PI agency and they went from just scraping by to a booming business thanks to their involvement in bringing down a crime family , the publicity did them well ….

It’s closing time and James is about to leave when Tessa knocks at his door and he lets her in , she explain why she needs her help and she been to the police and they seem to be brushing her off , why would a baker have a stalker !? Well I’ll tell you because she’s gorgeous and she has a successful bakery anyhooJames listens and he’s ready to help ….I just love the name of her bakery “ Cake Me Home” and there’s more than just her Victoria sponge that James likes 😉😜

Someone is out to unsettle Tessa and they’re off to a good start with the letters and the the photos start and I tell you what I’m freaked out for her !!! What blows my mind is the police just blow her off 🤯😡 fear not though because James and his crew are on the case


James may be a workaholic and not mix business with pleasure but Tessa is making him question his resolve …. While trying to find the stalker and guard his heart James has his “ hands full”

This really was a read I’d recommend with a smile on face ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is definitely a series that BNC or ITV should adapt for the screen !!!!!

Be My Little Baby is Book 2 in the London Detective Agency series and after reading the first book and absolutely loving it, I was excited to dive into this story featuring James. I highly recommend reading the books in orders as you get to know the characters and are captured in each of the stories. I loved the story-line, suspense, drama but also the sizzle and spark between James and Tessa that kept me turning the pages to see what happens next....

Tessa Lopez is a bakery business owner, building her business, but now becomes the target of stalker. When the police do not step in to help, she hires the newly famous PI James Moore. When James takes on Tessa's case, he never expected for the instant connection to light a spark in him. When the threats toward Tessa become more evident...will James be able to find out whom Tessa's stalker is before it is to late..... definitely read and find out...

This is a great story and I am looking forward to reading more from this author....

Tessa Lopez has opened a bakery shop that has excelled beyond her wildest dreams, but someone is sending threatening letters and Tessa is spooked enough to hire a private detective. Neither expects the chemistry between them will this hinder the investigation?

I really enjoyed this story, it pulled me in right away. The relationship between Tessa and James just added more depth to the book. Kept me guessing as to who was stalking Tessa. Great story, definitely one to pick up when you want to put your feet up and read the day away.

James Moore is happy in his life, after solving one of biggest cases of him and his partners case against the mafia they are propelled into the limelight. With cases building up he is so busy, but when Tessa asks for his help he can not refuse there is just something about the baker that has him is a twist. So as the work on finding her stalker can he keep his mantra of "don't date the clients" or will he go to the beautiful woman.

Tessa is happy building her bakery up and with the popularity growing she is in her element but there is something not quite right, when she discovers she has a stalker and the police can't help her who can she turn to but the handsome PI James Moore. James decides to help her but as they work closely together there chemistry is off the charts but although they are attracted to each other he has a rule of not getting involved with his clients but when they start blurring the lines it becomes worth the risk.

This the first story I have read in this series and with this author and I can say I will reading more. The story can be read as a standalone and you can follow the back history of the main characters and get the gist of what they have done.

I loved the character of James with his relaxed and work obsessed life until Tessa comes into his life. The dynamic between Patrick, Evelyn and James is lovely to read and shows they really care about each other in the story. Even when James is trying to stay professional you are willing the two of them to get together.

The twists and turns in this book are brilliant to read and will have you at the end of your seat, the suspense is just enough to peak the interest and get you carry on reading til the very end. The characters are well developed and the story is brilliantly written, I will definitely be reading more.

Be My Little Baby (London Detective Agency Book @) by Stephanie R. Caffrey is my first read by this author and she delivered! Of course, like always, I have not read the first book of the series, but I didn't feel to left behind by starting with the second book. I will be going back to read the first book so that way I can get the full gist of the second book. I thought that the story flowed well and like I said, that is without having the information from the first book in the series. I was captivated by Tessa and James' interactions with each other. Tessa is a new bakery owner and expects that it will take a while to get her business off the ground, but she is in for a big surprise! Unfortunately for Tessa, she has acquired a stalker who will not leave her be, so Tessa has to seek help from James (the detective). James tries his best to keep things with Tessa strictly professional, but there is something about her that makes him want to break his own rules. I thought that this book was entertaining, funny, very well written and just overall a good story. I will definitely be going back and reading the first book in the series, and I encourage you to pick up a copy and read for yourself!

A great book by a fantastic author and I hope you enjoy "Be My Little Baby" as much as I did. It is a fun read if you like suspense as is the story about Tessa Lopez and how she thought her bakery dreams would involve flour, sugar, and repeat customers but the dream turns into a nightmare with creepy letters from a relentless stalker. When the police wave off her concerns, Tessa’s gut tells her she’s in serious trouble. Enter James Moore, London’s most brooding and moody detective her best shot at survival and together, they dive into a world of secrets, suspense, and sizzling chemistry, where every clue brings them closer to the truth and to each other. As the danger escalates, so does their attraction, creating a delicious tension that keeps readers on edge: will they catch the stalker before it’s too late, or will they fall victim to their own distractions?

This is the second book in the London Detective Agency series, and like the first is a wickedly fun blend of mystery, romance, and dark twists, featuring endearing characters and sharp storytelling. While it works as a standalone novel, the suspense and wit might just tempt you to devour the entire series and you may finish with a craving for pumpkin bars.

Tessa and James' story had me hooked pretty quickly! This is book 2 in the London Detective Agency series and I cannot wait to get to know more characters better and dive into book 3!

Tessa has opened a new bakery and is expecting the norm as far as budgeting, hard work, and building a customer base. What she didn't expect was for business to be so booming she got a stalker out of the deal. This leads her to James, a VERY hot private investigator. He's so hot he has to continually remind his clients (and now himself, thanks to the appearance of Tessa) that he DOES NOT DATE CLIENTS.
Historically, James stays busy but relaxed helping his clients solve their cases, but although his schedule is booked he cannot resist the pull Tessa has on him. Tessa has no need for such a rule to not date clients, but even if she did...the chemistry between the two of them keeps you reading.

Very well written, great story telling, wonderful character building, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat between the case and the chemistry between the MCs! Excellent read!

This is the second book in the London Detective Series. After enjoying the first book I didn't hesitate in picking this book up and I wasn't disappointed. This is a romance suspense filled with drama, intrigue, danger, and investigation.

In this story we meet Tessa. She goes to the London Detective Agency for help when she starts to recieve letters and photographs. Knowing she has a potential stalker on her hands she enlists the aid of PI James Moore to get to the bottom of this. As they start to solve this case the chemistry between them also heats up.

However James has made it a rule of his that he doesnt date clients so what will that mean for the attraction between James and Tessa.
And as they get closer together what will happen to Tessa's stalker. The stalker is determined to have Tessa all to themselves so how will they react as the spark between Tessa and James grows. Will this lead them both into a dangerous situation with targets on their backs, or will they be able to stop the stalker in their tracks before they go too far.

Be My Little Baby is the second instalment in the London Detective Agency series by Stephanie R. Caffrey. It is an engrossing romantic suspense with plenty of mystery, crime and investigation, intrigue, tension, stalker danger, investigation, private investigator x client dynamic, chemistry, emotion, secrets, and dramatic developments.
When Tessa Lopez, who owns a bustling little bakery in London, is targeted by a stalker, the police fail to help her- so she turns to PI James Moore to help put a stop to her torment. I don’t want to spoil it for you, suffice to say that what happens makes for quite a gripping read.
While I really enjoyed the first book, Mistaken Identity, this instalment is even better. It did start off a little slow, but the pace picked up pretty quickly and I was soon pulled into all the intriguing developments.

Another exciting and fast paced romantic suspense novel in this series. This time it’s private detective James Moore who comes to the aid of a damsel in distress. Tessa Lopez’s bakery is the most popular in London, but she’s worried as she has a stalker. When she starts to receive threatening letters and photographs, and with the police not helping, she decides to hire a private investigator. Tessa and James have an instant undeniable chemistry which only grows as they work together to find her stalker. However, James has a rule that he doesn’t date clients and so fights his attraction for Tessa. The pair find themselves in danger when it’s clear the stalker wants Tessa for himself. I love a forbidden love story and this one had me hooked. Tessa and James chemistry sizzled off the page. The suspense built chapter by chapter and the plot twists kept me guessing. An enjoyable and engaging read.

Wow, if I would have known how much I was going to love this book, I would have blocked my schedule more It was hard to put down and pushed my multi-tasking skills.
I enjoyed Evie & Patrick’s story in book 1 and was excited to hear more about James. Tessa is such an amazing person, very goal driven so it was obvious right from the start that she would be great for James.
Invested from the beginning and shocked by how attracted he is to her, James wants to solve Tessa’s stalking case quickly so that he can ask her out; however Patrick & Evie don’t let him wait. Their relationship blooms quickly, but also escalates the stalker so that the police can be involved.
I was happy to see that James and Patrick are friends with Joe, his presence in this book was awesome.
You could potentially read this as a standalone but I feel you get so much more out of the relationships by reading them as a series.

This is book two in the London Detective Agency series. I didn’t read book one but had no trouble following the story. This book is about Tessa and James. Tessa owns Cake Me Hone Tonight bakery, which is very popular in London. Unfortunately, someone is stalking her and the police can’t do anything. She decides to hire a private detective. Luckily James decided to work late and met Tessa. The attraction us there but James doesn’t date clients. He needs to close this case so he can ask her out on a date but her stalker is sneaky and slippery as a snake.

This book is filled with suspense that will keep you guessing. A bit of romance and fun British quips will get you through the plot. I enjoyed reading this book and am impressed that this is a fairly new author. I’m looking forward to reading more from her.

Be My Little Baby is the second book in the London Detective Agency Series and is a Romantic Suspense that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages till the end. The characters are fully developed and relatable and complex, their chemistry is off the charts and they bring the story to life. I had a terrible time putting it down and read late into the night. The twists and turns had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. There’s just the right amount my mystery and suspense to keep you guessing. I don’t want give anything away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This book is all about chemistry! There is the chemistry of baking and then there is the chemistry between Tessa and James!

Tessa is hoping that her little bakery will bring about a lot of business, as she's new to the area and wanting to do well. She never expected for things to progress as quickly as they have, and on top of that, there are some very threatening photographs and letters that could damage her business and reputation. That's where James steps in. He's a private investigator that is easy on the eyes. He won't date a client though but could Tessa find a way to his heart through her baking?

This is the second book in a series. This can be read as a standalone but why not go back and pick up the first one?! You'll see some characters from the previous book make an appearance in this one.

Tessa has just opened a bakery and has become very successful overnight and thinks things are going quite well. Someone begins to send her threatening letter and photos she realizes she has a stalker and is very concerned. Tessa decides that she needs to hire James a Private Investigator and his crew to help her find who is stalking her. The threats get more serious and even include photos where someone has been looking in her windows. There is a growing attraction between James & Tessa but James has sworn off not dating his clients. Will they find the stalker before he actually hurts Tessa and will James & Tessa make a go at a relationship. Read this fun mysterious romance to find out!

This is the second book of the London Detective Agency series. It focuses on James, who investigates a stalker case for the local bakery owner, Tessa. This book continues along with the first book in the series and contains all of our favorite characters and many new ones. I loved how James finally finds someone to keep him from being such a huge workaholic in the office and gets him to get out a little more from his daily habits of spending way too much time at work. What a great mystery that has you second-guessing who the stalker may be. It casts a light of suspicion at so many of your favorite characters but beware not all are as good as they seem. This book has a lot of exciting scenes in it and will make you anxious to read it from cover to cover, so grab a snack and get ready for a fun read. Happy reading everyone, until next time!

I would say that you could read this as a stand alone but highly recommend you read book 1 prior to this one.

We see James, Patrick and Evelyn back again! This time James finds himself involved in the case in more ways than one. Tessa hires the detective agency to investigate the strange letters that are arriving to her bakery. As things heat up the activities surrounding the letters escalate.

That's not the only thing that escalates either. The attraction between Tessa and James is quickly heating up as well. Will this affect the wedding of Patrick and Evelyn? Can they quickly find who the mysterious person is that is "stalking" Tessa? Will something blossom between Tessa and James?

Read on to uncover the answers and find yourself immersed in a story that you won't be able to put down.

This only thing I was disappointed in was the fact I had not read the first book in the series. It's not necessary to read it, but I'm one of those who hate reading series out of order. I will end up going back, reading the first and re-reading this second book.

James and Tessa have quite the interesting relationship. She starts as a client with a stalker and then it ends up so much more. Throw in some longtime friends on both sides and it ends up being entertaining.

I love trying to figure out who the villain of the story is since most have at least one. I went between two most of the way through, then it clicked with me just before we found out. Love that it kept my brain working and it wasn't as obvious to me, but I'm sure others will figure it out sooner.

This is the second book in the London Detective Agency series, and I enjoyed it even more than the first! While you could possibly read this book without reading the previous one first, I highly recommend picking them up in order. Not only are they just magnificent and complement each other, but getting the background of each character is important in the grand scheme of things. James and Tessa are incredible characters and have been very well developed. The chemistry between the two of them leaps off of the pages! I won’t give anything away, but I will absolutely recommend this book repeatedly. If you enjoy a fantastically crafted romantic suspense story, please do yourself a favor and pick this book up!

In this one we have Tessa and James. Tessa has recently opened her very own bakery and has become very successful over night. It seems that it happened over night and she couldn't be happier. However she has someone out there who would like nothing more than to sabotage everything. She is getting threatening letters and photographs, but the police are unable to help. She enlists the services of PI James Moore. They have an undeniable attraction but he doesn't date clients no matter the circumstances. Is he willing to make an exception with Tessa? I'm so glad I took a chance on this author when I picked up the first book in this series. I have been looking forward to this installment and I was not disappointed. If you're a fan of romantic suspense you definitely need to check these out.

This is the second book in the London Detective series and it is a brilliant follow up to the first. I think for me, this book is even better than what I expected and that was in large part because of the characters involved. Their chemistry was undeniable. The connection was there right from the start, no matter how much they tried to ignore it.
But the characters and their connection felt like it was in conjunction with the story, not taking over it like it could have done. I was desperate to know how things would play out – who was involved, what would happened. The author really kept me engaged throughout the whole story. This is a brilliant book and a great continuation of what is building up to be a fantastic series.

This story of a strong-minded woman with her own business and how she met every challenge – even a stalker. The successful Miller & Moore Investigations are on the case. The characters in this book are each unique and delightful as their stories unfold. I loved the friendships, the bonds and the desire to be there for each other. James Moore and his bestie Evelyn can always count on each other for the truth as they tease each other like siblings. Tessa Lopez and her bestie Freddie are there for each other without hesitation. Joseph McClearly, roommate and police officer is always true to himself. It takes everyone working together to solve this case. This sweet romance is a great feel-good read.

I really enjoyed this book. I am a huge fan of thrillers and books that keep you on edge. I personally like Tessa and James together and the way he cared for her and the way he wanted to protect her even if it meant he might or might not lose her. He is the protective PI who cares deeply and trys to fight the connection while she is the goodhearted baker who trusts a little too much I feel like and sees the good in everyone. I am not usually a fan of crime mysteries but I did enjoy the story line and the plot even if I got frustrated at the "bad guy". This book was easy to follow and as much as I usually enjoy a thriller to get right into it, I did enjoy the slow burn of it. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little romance with a little thrill and mystery.

Tessa Lopez has a very popular Bakery Shop in London. Well someone started stalking her. The person was sending her pictures and letters. She went to the Police but, was told they couldn't help her. Tessa is beside herself. She decides to contact a Private Detective named James Moore. When she meets James there seems to be an attraction between them but, James keeps reminding himself that he doesn't clients. They do have several suspects and both were very surprised when they found out who it was. Do Tessa and James do anything about their attraction for each other?? You really need to read this book!! A very great story!! I truly loved it and recommend it!!

I was so excited to get my hands on this book and I was NOT disappointed! Caffrey has done it again but this time we get James' story. I love Caffrey's writing style and her character development and she continues that with this novel. This book has it all...suspense, mystery, romance, twists and turns. It is just such a nice mix of everything that there is something for everyone. Some tropes in this book include: forbidden love, protector, and damsel in distress among some others. I cannot recommend this book enough. You do not need to read the first book in this series; however, it always helps to have a better understanding of the characters but it's not necessary.

Wow, what a good romantic suspense read. Tessa, who started a bakery that has done so much better than she originally thought, until she starts being stalked of course, and James, a private investigator that she is hoping will be able to put an end to it. What they didn’t foresee coming, and are not particularly thrilled about, was their attraction to each other. This is book two of the London Detective Agency Series, I haven’t read book one, but I was still able to enjoy this book. Be My Little Baby had great flow, and I loved the twists, turns, and suspense throughout the novel, and I really liked the well developed, lifelike characters.

Be My Little Baby is book 2 of the London Detective Agency Series by Stephanie R. Caffrey. I suggest reading these books in order so that you can keep up with and get to know the characters. This book follows Tessa and James. Tessa is a bakery owner who seems to be having a problem with a stalker. The police seem to be unable to help, so Tessa enlists the help of James who is a PI. There's an instant attraction between the two, but James has a strict rule that he doesn't date clients. This is a very well written romantic suspense. The characters are wonderful, and I really enjoy reading Caffrey's work. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
