Uff, just when I thought V.B. Emanuele couldn’t get any better; she goes and writes this one. I thought I liked Vincenzo (Tryst MMC) but I was not ready yet, so here for James (Charm). The daddy kink was heavy on this one and that somehow made it so much better. The way the 🌶️ scenes were written, just 🤌🏽 chef's kiss. So good I had to rearrange my top 10. I do have to say the hypocrisy radiating off of Eliza when she found out about her dad and her best friend as if she weren’t dating her father’s best friend was crazy lol. I expected her to be chill about it considering Maddie didn’t exactly hide her feelings for James throughout their friendship. 100% recommend this book to those kinky enough to handle it.

First and foremost I want to say that this novel is not for the faint of the heart spice wise. It's super explicit yet good and will give you the sweats. Moving on, I just love how VB Emanuele novels pick up right where they leave off and her mix of twist and turns with hot sensual spice is perfection. James and Maddies story is one to read if you love action, drama, and smut all in one. I was anxiously waiting for daddy James story with Maddie and author VB Emanuele did not dissappoint. Its juicy, its twisty, dramatic just how I love my novels. I 100% recommend.

OMG. Holy Shit, wowza! I knew I'm gonna like this book so much more than the first one because this book captured me first before I even knew it was a duet. I mean, James? Uhm, James?? You mean James the DILF? James who has a wholesome lifestyle and a hotshot criminal lawyer? But James who's really a kinky daddy?! Jesus, the kinks in this book really tickled my fancy and I would've never expected that from him when I was reading book 1 because he was such a great dad.
I love the age gap trope so darn much I can't even. But add the other tropes that I like which are bestfriend's dad, forbidden, erotica, explicit spicy secenes, and family dynamics written in a well-paced setting? Oh hell, RIP me. This is the first series I've read from VB Emanuele and I like how they are easy to read. There's a plot but there's also spicy scenes and she evened them all out in just under 200+ pages. I mean, what more could you ask for?
James & Maddie. They are likable characters, didn't give me a headache or the urge to ask for character development because they're decent enough. It may seem just all lust but I like how they formed their friendship and how they became each other's safe space and be whatever kind of versions of themselves they want with each other that not everyone knows. But I think Maddie gave more in their situationship than James but really I'm just glad that they ended up having what they mutually want.

After reading Tryst and finding out James and Maddie were getting their own story I could not wait. I finally got it in my hands and could not have loved it anymore than I do.
Over the months that James's marriage has been failing he has started confiding in his daughter's best friend, Maddie. He calls them therapy sessions and upon learning about his best friend and his daughter being in love he ends up needing one of those sessions.
It is no secret Maddie has crushed on James for quite some time now but it was never suppose to become a reality. After months of forming a different friendship with James there starts being little touches here and there, looks, a spark between the two of them. For both of them, hurting Elizabeth is the last thing they want.
I have to say I knew I would love James but I was not expecting how much love he has in his heart. Getting to see him and they family man that he is and the way he loves his family and friends. This man deserves happiness for once in his life. Who knew it would come in the form of Maddie. I love that Ms. Emanuele did give him some internal debating with himself because it is another way that his love for those around him shined through. I mean this man would give up all that makes him happy for his kids.
The spark between him and Maddie is definitely undeniable. She shows James how to live again and what love really should look like. She is able to fill a hole in him that his ex-wife would have never even contemplated. I absolutely loved these two and V.B. Emanuele wrapped up the duology quite well. The ending was absolutely perfect! IYKYK!!!

I’ve been dying to read this book since I read Tryst. I knew Daddy Jamie deserves all the love in the world and should be protected, cherished and loved beyond anything else.
Seriously omg this book was truly what I needed!! I had a many laugh out loud moments and smiling like crazy to my phone/tablet. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down!
I love Maddie and James together so very much!! He has always been DILF to her. I knew Daddy Jamie was going to be a force to be reckoned with in the bedroom but omg this seriously blew my mind with him! I’m truly here for this!! Excuse me while I read this 10000 more times. 😏😏
All I can say is that I still completely loath Alicia. Omg she is still a complete bish..

I can’t remember the last time I absolutely NEEDED a sequel but this book was definitely that type of need for me. Since meeting Maddie and James in Tryst I just had to have their story. When I say it was worth the wait, it is not a lie! This story was everything I hoped for and so much more. The steam is off the charts and the drama is the icing in the cake. An absolutely addictive page turner you won’t want to end! I cannot say enough amazing things about this series as a whole and this book especially. Charm is some definite Daddy kink crack!

This book had every bit of the things I love! A forbidden romance, an age gap, and a bit of secrecy that brought suspense mixed with amazing spice.
I didn’t know how this story would unfold given that it’s a best friends dad trope but WHEW 🤩. I think James definitely deserved his HEA because he went through a lot and put up with a lot for the sake of keep his family together. For me, Maddie was someone determined who knew what she wanted and went for it after finding out she could. Tbh, I would’ve done the same.
I know this is only a duology but I would love to know what happens next with both couples! I absolutely loved this book and Tryst. Can’t want to see what VB brings next.

Ugh the spice 🥵🥵 What I would give to be able to read this for the first time again. Literally devoured this and I just couldn’t get enough. Maddie and James were fun to see develop since it started off with friendship that then grew into more. Loved seeing more of James friendship with Vinny in this book and knowing they were both shit at keeping things from each other. Overall another spectacular book by V.B. Emanuele and so glad to have found her books this year and can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next 😁

V.B. has a certain way that her words take readers and drag them down into her world. Charm was no different and was an angsty, steamy read that I very much enjoyed. I was VERY annoyed at Elizabeth for how she acted in regards to Maddie and James relationship because, duh, hypocrite much?? Overall, Charm was a good read, and I highly recommend it to readers that love age gap and best friends dad stories.

Seriously, each new book V.B Emanuele writes is better than the last. So, needless to say, this is now my new favourite of hers. It also helps that is quite kinky, and you all know I love kink inside and outside my books. And even though breeding is not of my taste, it was just a tiny bit and didn't bother me at all because it made sense for them.
Moreover, I've been wanting for a year to read about Mister DILF. And I basically dropped everything to binge this book. And I regret nothing.
If you like age gap. Forbidden relationship, kink, mafia, and a bit of drama, make sure to read this one. But read tryst first, and then come and thank me later 😉
And if I am honest, I wouldn't mind reading more about other side characters in this world.

I knew James was going to top Vinny just reading the preview! I have a special place in my heart for dark mafia romance but a DILF with a dark side SIGN ME tf UP!!! I had no idea I was capable of the images this book put in my mind. I loved the romance and the spice. I felt like I was overheating before I was halfway through, and it only got better! I need another book ASAP! I am always pleasantly surprised and left satisfied from V.B Emanuele's books, and this one was no different.

I devoured book one of this duology so I was super excited to get the chance to read book two and carry on where I left off in the previous book. This one follows Maddie and James who we meet and obviously love in book one.
If you're partial to a spicy forbidden romance then this is one for you! It all starts with an innocent friendship that turns into something very VERY kinky & I won't lie I was here for it!
James & Maddie have such undeniable chemistry. The spark between them is so unreal. I loved seeing how this thing wasn't supposed to happen, but somehow the forbidden fruit aspect of it made both MCs come out of their shells and grow.
I don't think I've read a book by this author that I haven't enjoyed.

Omg this book was fantastic!!!! I don’t even have words for how spicy James and Maddie’s romance was! The banter and friendship between these two was amazing. Another dirty mouth man ready to protect his woman (even when she’s not quite his just yet). Enjoy their journey of finding their love for each other together and the angst they went through to finally have their happily ever after.

In this second book we get to go on the wild roller coaster of Maddie and James. When Maddie affectionately referred to James as DILF she never thought anything would happen because he was married. Well he got divorced and they became friends, she was someone he could talk to in his depression. Then one night it all changed, it was only supposed to be one night.... At least until she accepted all parts of him (his BDSM) lifestyle included! They say second installments are never as good as the first but let me tell you this one puts the cherry on top!!! It has smut, love, tears, betrayal, secrets, Mafia, and some more smut!!! Fabulous way to end a duology! Way to go VB!!!!!❤️❤️

This book was a scorcher with Maddison and James . The steamy scenes were delicious. The characters were amazing ,the emotions they evoked in one another was great . The scenes in the book were definitely hot . I really enjoyed this book.

This is my favorite out of all of V.B Emanuele’s books. The writing is fantastic! I absolutely loved James and Maddie I could not get enough of their story! Daddy James will make the top of your book boyfriend list in no time! The plot and spice balance is absolutely perfect! This story has lived rent free in my head since I read it and I cannot stop thinking about it.

5⭐️ Charm is an excellent taboo book with lots of spice, but the heart of the story is what makes it worth reading. James and Madison are not supposed to fall for one another, but the heart wants what the heart wants and their relationship is far more than the surface details.

As always, one of my favorite authors rolls out another banging book. An age gap, scream my name-daddy book that leaves your imagination running wild and you looking at DILF like they are ice cream cones needing to be licked down. V.b Emanuele had yet to deliver a book that didn't give your heart little palpations while reading and your thighs a nice squeezing exercise. If you need to read some family drama but don't need it in your real life, James and Madison are there to fulfill that roll. So sit and let the bask in the drama that is not currently happening in your life and enjoy!

I always secretly hoped that James & Maddie would get a book. I was shocked and not surprised that V.B. Emanuele announced that they would get their book.
One thing I will say is thank you for not making it slow burn 😂 I would have thrown my Kindle if I had to deal with another taboo age gap book.
And for adding in one of my favourite tropes/kinks.

If you thought Tryst was hot, you haven’t read anything yet! 🥵 daddy Jamie gave us everything we didn’t know we needed!
I found myself getting so giddy and laughing out loud, and just all over this entire book. VB Emanuele’s second book in the duet is exactly what I needed.

Charm is book two in the Tryst Duology by V.B. Emanuele. This is the seventh book I have read by this author, and not once have I paused because it was too hot in the room until Charm. Oh, V.B., you’ve done it again. Actually, I think you’ve topped the rest. This book was extra spicy and filled with triggers that those vanilla-loving folks may deem a bit too much.
This book was packed full of delicious triggers and spicy fun. A forbidden romance with a delectable age gap drew me right in, and I devoured this book. I have loved James since the first book, and I wanted nothing more than for James to be happy. After dealing with his daughter falling for his best friend (in Tryst) and being in a miserable marriage, it was only a matter of time before James got his HEA. When James needed someone, a friend, Maddie, was there for him. So what if Maddie is his daughter’s best friend and is 20 years younger than he is?!
Can we stop to appreciate the level of spice in this book?! Whew. I got goosebumps just now thinking about it. I believe this is a great positive representation of kinks! Without my mom yelling at me for posting this on FB, there were so many of my favorites in this book that I lost count. James may have had the room, but it wasn’t until Maddie came along that he got to experience the desires that were denied him while married. I loved the journey that they took together. Swoon! This was such a great book. I also loved that Eliza and Vinny played a big part in this book as well.

I know I've said it in other reviews I've written for V.B. but I literally LOVE everything she writes. Every one of her dark romances filled with spicy scenes and fun banter end up being binge worthy and amazing. I literally finished Charm in a day and a half... it was sooooo good.
Tryst 1 is all about Elizabeth and Vincenzo and their secret relationship. Vincenzo is Elizabeth's dad's, James, best friend and they start seeing each other secretly. They end up telling him at a family vacation. James is, of course, upset at first but ends up realizing how happy they make each other and ends up giving his blessing. Well, in Charm, (Tryst 2) James ends up secretly confiding to Maddie about his failing marriage, who is Elizabeth's best friend. Once Elizabeth finds out, she, of course, freaks out but in the end she realizes that she should support them like Maddie and her dad supported their relationship.
I loved Charm! I love V.B's writing. Every book I've ever read of hers just pulls me in and I'm instantly obsessed. The Italian men in her books are always swoon worthy while still dark and sexy. I thought Charm and Tryst were both hot and fun age gap, dark romances. I really loved the scenes in this book between Maddie and James. I love dom/sub scenes and Emanuele is a great BDSM writer as well. This book was easy to read, binge worthy and highly addictive. I also really love that all of her characters are always so well thought out, interesting and also charming. Of course, I 150% recommend Charm, if there's one thing that's a guarantee, it's that all V.B's books are amazing.

I absolutely adored Tryst the first book in this duet and I really enjoyed this one as well. This one kind of picks up at the end of the first one. It took me a minute to adjust to where we were in the timeline but once I adjusted to that I was fine. I have to say I think I enjoyed how incredibly different this one was from the first one. Madison is such a fun character and James has some serious things he is working through.
The two have developed a friendship that is gradually progressing into a little more. For most of the book we get the oh we shouldn’t do this it’s wrong it will hurt everyone thing. Which I mean is ironic since it’s the same scenario as the first book just reversed haha. I will say it felt like it took a bit to get to the spicy parts of this book but they delivered for sure. At first it felt like the relationship between them was moving way to fast, but also they’ve known each other forever so, it’s like maybe not.
I loved the obstacles that the book had in play for the relationship because they were actually intense and interesting. I will admit that some of the tropes aren’t my thing, but they weren’t overdone. I didn’t feel like I was having them thrown in my face, and since I knew they were coming I was like oh yeah no it’s fine. I say four stars because I would have enjoyed more of the dom/sub relationship dynamic and I didn’t feel like we got enough of it in the book. But overall I think this book was the perfect follow up to the first one. And everything felt perfectly resolved for all of my favorite characters.
