Originally Sri Shankaracharya and other great Sages had written several commentaries on the Vedanta Sutras. From these, Sri Karapatra Swami condensed the salient points into twelve chapters of Sanskrit verse. Those chapters were later translated into Tamil. This translation into English of the first eight chapters by Munagala Venkataramaiah (the recorder of "Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi) was thoroughly revised in the presence of the Maharshi.pp110
An enlightening dialogue between a master and a disciple, composed using the teachings of the great Advaita sages of yesteryear.
I give it 5 stars, unlike other religious books that I've given 4 stars because of the clarity of thought and articulation which left no stone unturned and left nothing to the reader to think for themselves.
Though repetitive at times, I thoroughly appreciated this sacred text and recommend it to anyone interested in Advaita philosophy.
Don't have words to express my thoughts about this book. This book is a Q&A between Disciple & Master. It's a very open Q&A between the Master & Disciple.
Must have book for any spiritual aspirant, especially those leading on the path of Intellect. Others may find it difficult to grasp & accept the explanations provided. The answers are pretty open minded, so beaware that it could potentially destroy your ignorance or disturb your mindset.
Do not read this book, if you don't have a open mind or have a religious mindset - you may be disappointed.
