While I might not fully agree with some of the doctrinal viewpoints presented in "Fighting Temptation", I think there are valuable lessons to be learned by every Christian who reads this book. John Buttrick does a great job of supporting his statements and teachings with the appropriate verses and passages of Scripture. He presents the material in a way which should be easily understood by readers. The other thing I enjoyed about the book is that, although Mr Buttrick presents his doctrinal viewpoints, readers won't find a lot of statements which amount to "you must do it this way or you're not a Christian" like I've seen in so many other non-fiction works about Christian topics.

I liked this book and it was a good read. I think it could have been better, but it was still really good. It talked about different temptations you should avoid. This book may help you live a godlier life. This wouldn’t be the first book I would pick up again to read, but I would read it again.
