I think really young children would enjoy this book because it is very cartoonish. It reminded me of the children's show Rolie Polie Olie because of the illustrations. They were very simplistic and had very bright colors. The book also rhymed, which most young children like. It's also a good story to read to a young child who is learning about the different seasons because it does a great job of describing springtime.
