Vampires and werewolves. Eternal enemies. But one vampire wants to change that by creating something nature, or the Great Luna, never intended. Alice Douglas, a brilliant geneticist, has devoted her life to helping others through science. But when her powerful father coerces her to take a job at a secret government facility, she discovers helping people is nowhere in the job description. Instead, Alice is forced into assisting Cain, the vampire king, in his frenzied quest to create a race of super-soldiers–werewolf vampire hybrids, a mission that has already claimed the lives of dozens of dormant werewolves.
When Cain realizes that Alice is actually one of the highly coveted gypsy healers—something she didn’t even know herself—he suspects her blood might be the key to bringing his plan to fruition. There’s only one problem—a bond is forming between the pair. Another unholy union, one between a creature of pure light and a creature of pure darkness. Before Alice can fully grasp her new supernatural reality, she is brutally attacked by a rogue vampire named Claude. Desperate to save her life, Cain makes the fateful decision to turn Alice into a hybrid by giving her his blood. But her soul, one of pure goodness, cannot abide Cain’s blood within her. Now it is fighting against itself, threatening to kill her if it cannot be stopped.
Enter Perizada of the fae, the one charged with keeping all gypsy healers safe. Peri soon finds out that the key to saving Alice is her true mate, Maxim, who happens to be a rogue werewolf on the other side of the world. Maxim will do anything to find and rescue his mate, including teaming up with the Alpha of alphas, Fane Lupei. But rescuing Alice won’t be easy, especially since she’s developed complicated feelings for her captor. Alice thinks there is good in the vampire king, and she is determined to bring it out. The king is determined to never let Alice go, no matter the cost. Together, new allies must find a way to break Cain’s lethal blood-bond over Alice and prevent the vampire from unleashing upon the earth a force of abominations so powerful that no army could stand against them.
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
Wow. Another amazing book created by non other than Quinn Loftis. Thank you to Quinn and the dream team for giving me another opportunity to be an arc reader. I greatly appreciate it! This book contains so much love for every character new or old is astonishing. The family vastly growing in the grey wolves series. This story is mainly focused on what’s happening to Alice after what transpired in book 18 with some new, exciting and daunting tasks for the pack to discover. The fight isn’t over!
Some people may look at a series and think “oh man. I don’t know if I could read a series that’s 20 books long and still going” but I promise you as a reader that has that same problem it is so so worth it. I have been following this series since I was 13 years old. I fell in love with reading because of the very first book “Prince of Wolves” and then life got busy and I didn’t read for quite sometime till Covid hit and then once again I decided to reread “Prince of Wolves”. here I am rereading the series time and time again.
What an amazing story, I found myself holding my breath, cursing, and wanting to throw the book across the room. Quinn has done it again with The Forbidden Bond!!!! We find ourselves transported into an absolutely amazing world where you never quite know what's going to happen. I'm glad I was home alone reading this. Otherwise, I would have gotten a lot of strange looks at my behavior! I honestly do not know how Quinn manages to do it over and over again. But I'm glad she does, I feel like I have a family in these books and I'm always looking forward to their next set of adventures, or trouble they get into, depending on how you want to look at it. Ha ha. If you haven't read Quinn's Grey Wolves Series ( or GWS) run, don't walk and get started with Prince of Wolves. You can't start with this one. You need the whole back story. Well, what are you waiting around for? I told you to run and get started!! Gah, you're still here?! Go on, get started on the greatest adventure of your life, before I have the pixies chasing you!!!!!
ARC Review: The unity of the pack is strong in this book! We have seen how strong the pack is. Not just those directly in the Romanian Pack but how other super naturals joined when Vasile and Alina needed them. It was so nice to see how great of a job Fane is doing and seeing new characters who had been against Fane for being named Alpha of all Alphas realize what an incredible leader he is and just how united and caring his pack is.
Alice, well girl needed to get it together. I was screaming at her multiple times thinking girl what are you doing?! But it all worked out and frankly I could not put this book down! I loved the role of the healers in this book and how everyone was understanding and non judgmental to help Alice. It was funny, had the sassy attitude I love from Quinn’s characters. This one is a good book!
I love how Quinn gave us a little more on the other villain and it was enough to get me so interested and waiting for the next book to see how and what happens!
Def recommend! Start reading this book because you will laugh, get mad, panic, be happy and ohh man just read the book!
Let me begin by acknowledging that for some reason unknown to me the fantasy/paranormal romance world isn’t for everyone. I embrace the escape, relish the journey, look for the deeper meaning, and crave the adventure. Quinn Loftis has given me that gift with every one of her books. Forbidden Bond took it to a new level.
Alice is a brilliant scientist whose own father has betrayed her. Cain is an evil vampire who somehow has taken a liking to the scientist, works with her father (a colonel in the military) and others in the military who are working towards their nefarious goals. Lizzy and Finn are werewolves who were captured by the evil Cain and are being used by him for his own evil purposes.
Forbidden Bond is the 20th book in the Grey Wolves series. But don’t let that put you off. If you have not read any of the previous books, you CAN start here. You will want to go back and catch up, but this story, while not a standalone, can be read with great enjoyment. (If you have read the Gypsy Healer series, think of it like that. It links but is also a new branch.)
Loftis brings her trademark style to Forbidden Bond. If you have never read her work, get ready for a roller coaster ride and curveballs. She has them all here. “Didn’t see that coming,” will be a normal response. “WTH?!” You may say that out loud a few times. Or, if you are like me, you will cry not from sadness but from some strange emotion sort of like joy at the strength, loyalty, and courage of the women/females. You will laugh at the antics and sarcasm of the children. You will want to punch, knock out, and/or destroy plenty of characters. If you are a Grey Wolves fan, you may experience a degree of awe at the growth of Fane and Jacque. No worries, Jen is still Jen. Sally is still Sally and their furbutts are still hot!
I don’t want to say more because I want YOU to experience it all. Get the book. Take the ride. Enjoy the loops. Forbidden Bond is amazing. Thank you for this enjoyable ride. I can’t wait for more.
Quinn Loftis is an amazing author! She has brought the entire world to life and I just cant get enough! Often if a series has to many books one may start to loose interest, but I feel she could write 100 books and id never stop. I feel like I am just growing in this world right along with all the characters!
In the Forbidden Bond we get to learn about and love Alice. You may yell out loud about some questionable decisions along the way, but as always, everyone is where they need to be when they need to be!
All of our favorite players are still there (yes, Jen, I'm talking about you!) And our not so favorite villian - Cain - hes not so easy to get rid of...and we finally get to meet Alice's true mate as well!
The Romanian Pack is still fighting all the evil in the world with The Great Luna and Peri at their side.
Grab a blanket and some hot cocoa (because, yes, ALWAYS), and snuggle in to join Quinn and the pack on another adventure!
This book was GOLD, PURE GOLD! It had me from the beginning, I was swooning for the bad guy, then for the good guy, giggling with the kiddos and falling in love with the couples. Quinn has magic in her words and she teaches lessons and has you feeling all the feels on every page. You have old friends come together again, new love stories that make your heart flutter and your cheeks pink, and bad guys. Need more? Go read the book it is great!! It kept me on the edge of my seat and ready for the next one!!
I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. What I love about Quinn's book is the fact that no character is safe. Which I think translates well from the real world, that bad things happen and that they can happen to anyone. It is all in how we grow and move forward from the hardships that we face. This is book 20 of this series which doesn't count the novellas, and the side gypsey healer series. I am waiting on the tips of my toes for more. The characters make you laugh, and make you ready to jump in the book to battle it out right next to them. Quinn makes it difficult to remember that these characters are fictional. They don't feel fictional. This was a fantastic continuation of the story.
I was blessed to receive an ARC for the Forbidden Bond. This is book 20 of the GWS by Quinn Loftis. Fast paced, exciting, informative, twists and turns, dark forces at work, let me just say this book did NOT disappoint! After 20 books, you still fall in love with these characters that have become your family. You are happy when they are happy, and you hurt when they hurt. You revisit some familiar faces and meet new ones to add to the pack. The suspense and thrill is REAL and emotions are high. Quinn is the CQ(cliffhanger queen!) and you hate that you love it, but you do…. sooooo much!
Quinn Loftis does it again everyone and I'm not even shocked. The Forbidden Bond will definitely have you on the edge of your seat begging for more. This 20th novel of The Grey Wolves series will make you clutch your tissues because of the bonds that are shown in this book. This one took girls supporting girls to a whole new level and it will have you in a sobbing mess. You see old friends reunite, new bonds forming, and a lot of bossy possessive males in this one. Loved it so much I couldn't put it down. Truly a masterpiece.
I was honored yet again to be chosen as an ARC reader for the new release in the Grey wolves series "The Forbidden Bond. A paranormal series that checks all the boxes. It's good vs. evil with twists and turns you won't see coming, while still having all the humorous banter and true to life moments. Quinn Loftis doesn't disappoint. If you're not part of the Quinn pack, you're missing out.
I read it within hours because I simply could not put it down. It is book 20 of the Grey Wolves Series and exactly what you would expect from Quinn and our favourite pack and then some more. There is witty banter, mate bonds, found family, action, romance and the cheeky pups who almost steal the show. If you love the Grey Wolves, you won’t be disappointed.
It’s not a standalone so you will need to start at book 1 but it’s definitely worth the ride.
⭐️ ARC Review ⭐️ I love Quinn and her writing. When I read the first book in her Grey Wolves series, I was instantly hooked. This next installment in this series did not disappoint. I’m still hooked! The Forbidden Bond had me feeling all the feels, just like the other books. I was enraged, upset and overjoyed along with the characters, new or old. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I enjoy how Quinn picked this book up from right where the other one ended. I enjoyed the dynamics in this one as well. If you’ve ever read a Quinn Loftis book, you know it’s hard to put down. This book and series are must reads.
One of my favorite things about Quinn’s books is how she completely immerses you in the story. I’ve cried and laughed through many books, but never as consistently as I do when reading The Grey Wolves Series. The Forbidden Bond was no different. I laughed at the craziness and antics of not only the main characters but also newer characters whose stories are just beginning to unfold. I cried for the time the characters have lost with those they loved and rejoiced at every victory. And the romance? It’s so sweet and heartwarming that I keep coming back time and time again just to see those bonds form. The characters in this story continue to feel like life long friends and I can’t wait to see their individual stories continue to develop. I don’t believe I’ve ever read another series where the author is able to build such a complex world full of unique characters and personalities and do so so seamlessly. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Love how mate bonds work the markings the appear. Love how Fane and Jackie care about not only their pack but every pack and how they help the rogues even though they aren't part of their pack but welcome the rogues or any super natural into their pack. Amazing story.
Another amazing book from Quinn. More new characters being introduced and find ways to stand out and mix well with the OG gang. I love helping and being a small part of this world coming to live.
Another great installment in Loftis’ Grey Wolves series. I really liked the plot of this story and Alice as the main character. I felt as though she was such a strong person without a chip on her shoulder nor did she have to go out of her way to prove her strength or worth.
I have to say- I am liking Peri’s character more and more. She has developed so much! She’s funny and sassy, but not to the point of being annoying, especially given her “age” and “job title”.
Jen’s character, however, was obnoxious at times. She can be funny, but now she often comes across as immature and disrespectful. It’s as if her friends are growing leaps and bounds as characters, and Jen is reverting. I know I am in the minority, but I’m not a fan of how Thia is being betrayed. It just wasn’t cute if I’m being completely honest (and I have loved Loftis’ books for over ten years).
Anyways, enough rants. I really enjoyed everything else. We have a well, thought out and complex villain, who is a favorite of mine. The plot is thickening in this series, and I can’t wait to read more! I’m especially curious about characters like Drayden, Nissa, and Andora.
Omfg. I usually avoid colorful language in book reviews but this one deserves a "right in the f***ing feels" and a "what the f**k." 😂🤣 That being said, I loved it. Much like a couple previous books in the series it felt like a bridge. We battled for control of the bridge and got closer to crossing and finding resolution to all the Grey Wolves problems. Part of me was hoping for a bit more 'hardcore' action but the feelings this book invoked made up for that. When I say I cried, know that I UGLY cried. This book, like many things Quinn pens, has so many lessons and moments we can all relate to. That alone will keep me coming back for more. 🥰 I eagerly await the next installment of the QuinnVerse.
You know that movie that you’ve watched a bazillion times, or that series that you’ve binged 2 bazillion? Or that book that you’ve read so many time that it is falling apart? You watch/read it so much because it comforts you. It feels like ‘home’. You know the characters, you even consider them family. Maybe one is your ‘tv/book boyfriend’? You love the world portrayed and wished you lived there. THAT is The Grey Wolves series. Quinn Loftis has created a world, within our own, that I long to live in. I feel as if her characters are my family. Jacque, Jen, Sally, their mates, I love them all. They are so well written and relatable. Each with their own unique personality. The world of the Grey Wolves isn’t small. There are many supernatural species represented. Werewolves, Elves, Fae, Vampires, healers, sprites, djinn, trolls, and I’m sure there are a few that I have forgotten. There are worlds within worlds and Quinn manages to keep them all separate and unique. The first novel in the series is Prince of Wolves. This review is for The Forbidden Bond, the 20th in the series. Yep, I said 20th! They’re THAT good!
I loved jumping back into the Romanian pack and seeing what everyone has gotten themselves in to. This newest novel centers around Alice who has been kidnapped by Cain, the vampire king. Cain wants to make werewolf vampire hybrids and Alice is a brilliant scientist that has recently discovered she’s MUCH more. In the last novel we found out that Alice is also a healer. In the world of the Grey Wolves that means her mate is a werewolf, but Cain wants to change that. Cain desires her for himself. With the Grey Wolves…that ain’t happening, buddy. Will they be able to rescue Alice in time? Will Peri get zappy with the Vampire King? What of the dormants that Cain also kidnapped? Whew!! You get the answers and so much more! This was a heart pounding, laugh out loud, grab your tissue book. Quinn never fails to bring all the feels into her novels as well as amazing wisdom. You will want to highlight quite a few conversations in this one. If you haven’t read any of the Grey Wolves novels…why are you here? Go! Grab Prince of Wolves and start there, then come back here and thank me for sending you back to book one. I have zero doubts that you’ll be just as hooked as I am. If you have read all of the books and are waiting on this one (releasing March 31, 2024) you’re gonna LOVE IT! Wish I could give more details, but NO SPOILERS! You’re just gonna have to read it to find the answers. Grab a mug of hot chocolate, a comfy pillow and blanket, and set aside some time to devour this one. Because once you start reading, you will NOT want to put it down.
One word...amazing!! Just like the other books in this series, this book does not disappoint! I loved it from beginning to end and have cherished these characters since I first stumbled upon Prince of Wolves. Most of the characters we meet in all the books but there are new characters that you fall in love with
The book starts where The Hybrid Rule ends. Cain, the vampire king, wants to make a hybrid army and has the help of Alice, a scientist and gypsy healer. However, Alice is unconscious and Cain tries to make her trust him through the sire bond. The bond between Cain and Alice makes you want to scream at Alice for thinking that they belong together. Gypsy healers are precious and are mates to only Canis lupus. Of course, Cain thinks that their bond will be different and will have her thinking that staying with him is best.
This book will make you feel every emotion that these characters feel. You will laugh, you will cry and you will remember why you love all these characters all over again. So put a Do Not Disturb sign up on everything because once you read it his book, you will read it to the end and not put it down.
Quinn Loftis has done it again! The Forbidden Bond had me hooked, line and sinker, right from the start! Great new character relationships formed with all the funny LOL comical banter we have come to love in the Grey Wolf Series. I laughed, cried and even yelled while reading this one. As with most of the Grey Wolf Series, you can expect it to end with some sort of cliffhanger…not always the one you were hoping for, but always something to keep you coming back for more! I’m an avid reader and I am amazed each time I pick up a Quinn Loftis book. She manages to captivate me with her characters who have somehow, over the span of 20 books, become more like family to me. At the end of each book I am not so patiently waiting for the next sequel to be published, and for me, the more I read, the more I want to know. I cannot get enough of the Grey Wolf Series or the Gypsy Healer Series and I would recommend this series to everyone who likes to read, I promise you will want more with each book you read!
My thought throughout the entire book. Impending doom! Seriously, you thought the pack had problems before. 😅 well in this book they go through it ALL. BUT if you loved the Gypsy heeler series YOU GOING TO LOVE THIS book in the grey wolf series.
This story continues more with Alice from the second to last book. So if you haven’t heard her story, I would highly recommend reading book 18 The Hybrid Rule. Especially with the movement forward with Lizzy and Finn *squeal* yes there story is continued forward in this book.
Overall being that this is book 20. It’s hard to find a series this far along that you don’t get tired of the same story and same villain. But NOPE! Quinn manages to move this story forward with new characters and the evolution of the pack. You will fall in love with characters that make you need to know what happens next. HIGHLY recommend this chapter in the grey wolf series especially if you love stories of fated mates 🥹
I'm so happy that Lizzie, Alice and Finn are finally safe. And that Alice found Maxim, her True Mate, and that she survived because of that. But i'm also happy that they got married and performed the Blood Rites because I feel like that makes it more difficult for Cain to to something more to Alice.
I'm also over the moon that Kara and Lizzie finally met again and got to talk things through because I feel like Kara really needed that.
I have a bad feeling about Celise and her having this evil book, Nushtonia, because whatever she has planned it sounds like something big and not to mention that it includes all the people that hates Vasile and Alina, and therefore the Romanian Pack... Hopefully she doesn't bring back someone too evil, from their death. But I mean if there isn't any payment in bring back someone, I wouldn't mind them bringing Cypher back just to give Lilly some joy back.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I should know better by now. I should know that when it comes to Quinn Loftis, I am in for a wild ride. I should know that the twist and turns will leave me breathless. I should know that just when I think I know exactly what’s coming, the train suddenly takes a left turn and I’m nowhere near where I expected to be. We have reached the 20th book in this series, and it’s still never a dull moment. You will likely laugh at the antics of Jen and Peri, cry over new and restored bonds, smile at the love between found-family members, swoon over the touch-her-and-die vibes, and shake your head at the misadventures of the young pups. Quinn continues to exceed expectations with this book, so don’t miss out!
I received an ARC of Forbidden Bond in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts expressed are my own.
I had the pleasure of getting to read the ARC for this book. I feel like I say this every time but Quinn has done it again. Characters that we have grown to love continue to bring so much joy and love to me as I read. But what I didn’t expect is for this story to almost confuse me on who should I be rooting for right now. Like what?!
When I say you need to buckle up and jump in on this book I mean it. The characters are amazing, the story leaves you wanting more, and truly has you going WTF all at the same time.
Please take the time to read this book. Or if you haven’t even touched the series please start. This series will make you laugh and cry and just make all your book boyfriend dreams come true.
Quinn has done it again. She pulls you in on the first page and keeps you hanging on to the very last page. This is book 20 so that should tell you already that she weaved a very great story. I mean come on with 20 books in the series that already tells you everything you need to know. Then the thousands of readers we can't all be wrong. Alice's story continues in this amazing read, along with Lizzy and Finn's. Of course you get to see our amazing Alphas and our girls and we could never see them without their smoking hot wolves. Peri's full of sass as usual and we wouldn't have her any other way.
This is a awesome story with all of captivating characters old and new. WOW it's a enjoyable experience just like all of the other stories in this series. There is a cliffhanger but it's one of the best kinds. There is so much excitement romance and drama. I am a fan of Quinn Loftis so much that I can't read one because I absolutely enjoy binging on all of her stories. I always enjoy reading them more than once which I find that they are such a enjoyable experience every time. So if you are like myself than you will enjoy this amazing series. I'm so excited to read the next book in the series. It's well worth the time.
I am always drawn in. I always feel all the things. Thankyou Quinn for sharing your gift. The characters and their personalities are by far my favorite. Second is that through all the crap, there is some light or laughter that carries us through. I am glad some things are starting to come together and clear up, but i have read it for its entirety and know what is to come.... besides my impatience for more goods, lol. I refuse to ruin a book for others by sharing juicy details. By all means, if you have made ot this far, you know us regular Quinn fans are addicted and she is the dealer, lol. Good stuff!
Just wow is all I have to say! You would think book 20 that series has got to be getting boring but nope book 20 is just as amazing as book 1! You scream in anger you laugh with joy and you cry for the pain they go through! When you get hooked with book 1 you become invested in all the characters they become your family that you take a journey with. Their highs are your highs there lows are you lows! You jump with joy with them and you cry tears of sorrow with them. This book is just amazing and I can’t wait for the next book!
great read been fed Quinn cor a while . loyal fan to no end. Keep them coming quinn😍 this one took great twist and turns as they all do. I love the intro to the new characters. Can not wait to see their stories unfold and how fan will continue us to walk in his bath rs foot steps. It still saddens me that they are no longer here. (The ultimate Alpha pair fails and alina) but I understand the rightful place the next generation had to take . dose not mean I have to lime it lol. Looking g forward to the next o e buckle up your seats
