Unmasking A Cowgirl is a sweet redemption story.
One that started off a little slow but got better once it started to move. The author brings us a main character who not only needs to overcome her family’s name and history, but once found out that she lied to everyone in the small town about it.
Which makes for an interesting set of circumstances.
Does everything work out? I guess you will just have to crack open the book and see.
Abby has ingrained herself into the lives of the people of Herd. All while carrying a big secret that could ruin it all. Just like her ancestors ruined the livelihoods of so many in the town not once but twice years and years ago. She needs to claim her family’s land before it lapses but by doing so she will also have to come forward. How will the town feel? What about the remaining 2 families of the original three founding ones? Joe’s research leads her to believe it’s not going to go all too well.
Joe knows there’s something off about Abby. Knows there’s a missing piece to the puzzle, which is why he’s always been passive with her. However once it’s revealed he will do anything is his power to help her. He never wanted her to end up feeling alone. He wants her to fight. He also has feelings for her he doesn’t quite want to accept yet. Though it’s becoming harder to resist.
Will he help her?
Will he act on his feelings?
Well first he needs to start with an apology and the rest you can find out by jumping on in.
Again it’s a sweet story of redemption. With some attraction and awkwardness thrown in.
It’s worth giving a shot!

Abby has a secret the whole town is about to find out about. Her ancestor just happens to be the villain in all the stories of the town's founding. Joe has spent the last several years delving into the history of Herd and feels like he has a good handle on what happened all those years ago, but he is missing something. He does not like Abby from the moment he meets her. There is a vibe that she is not being completely honest about who she is. When Joe is proven right in that Abby was in fact hiding who she truly was, is it too late to get her side of the story? Has his animosity toward her pushed her too far? Will she stick it out in Herd and prove that she is more than her ancestor's mistakes?

I enjoyed this story. The characters in Herd depict small town living at its best and worst. Everyone knows everyone else's business and they are loyal to a fault. However, betray that trust and instantly a person can be shut out. I found Abby learning the hard way, because she never stuck around long enough anywhere to have to fight for her right to stay, to be inspiring. I appreciated the way that Joe found his victory to be hollow and needed to reevaluate himself to find that he was at fault and also culpable in how the town responded. Of course, it would have been nice if he had realized it sooner, but then there wouldn't be this fun book to read! I will miss reading about Herd, Montana and secretly hope that there are more books!!

Abby has settled in Herd but she has always had a deep secret, but if the town knew would they treat her any different. Although now her secret needs to come out to be able to claim her birth rite but will the town forgive her and one person who she has grown to love accept her for how she is.

Joe is the local historian and school history teacher who gets on with everyone, well almost everyone. He has always had a dislike towards Abby he could not tell you why but he feels she is holding something back but as he gets to know her his opinion changes but what will the future hold when he does find out the secret.

Can there friendship and love survive or is there no going back?

This is the third book is this series and just as good as the first two, although this is classed as a series each book can be read as a stand alone. The book is a story of redemption and Abby has a lot from her history to redeem from but with her secret and worried how the town would perceive her I feel sorry for her.

At first I have to admit I was not liking the character of Joe, although kind and nice he took a while for me to warm up to him but in the end he redeemed his self and thought he and Abby made the perfect balance to each other.

The story is well written and weaves through secrets, lies and history and that you can never truly believe stories, with the twists and turns you will be engrossed to the end.

It’s soooooo good to be around my people again ! Herd is home , home is where the heart is 😉Looking forward to Hank’s party and Meg and Ruan’s wedding 🥰

Abby , our food truck owner , came to Herd with a secret , there’s no love lost between the Kinkaid’s and Whittiers and the people she disliked are the ones that she’s come to love and have shown her kindness , she’s torn about the decision that needs to be made and my heart aches for her , she’s over run with guilt and shame 🥲but secrets have a way of coming out ….

For some reason Abby rubs up the Joe , our amateur historian and school teacher the wrong way , she in turn is harbouring a crush of sorts on Joe 😉, he himself doesn’t even understand his animosity 🙈yet he’s determined to expose her secret but he’s or his own secrets and as much as I dislike him I can’t help but like him especially when he share how a library makes him feel ( I know I’m a weakling and I cave easily❣️📚🙈🤣)

Hold your horse Joe looses his heart to our Abby , all resistance crumbled and yes I did cry , I got frustrated and I got out of my skin excited , I just love Herd and it’s people and each time it’s hard to say goodbye but they’re always in my heart , they’re those kind of characters that just climb into your heart and you feel like you’re part of them 🥰

This is the third book in the series and can be read as a stand alone or in any order in the series as each book follows a different couple. This is a slow burn romance that builds throughout the book. This book had me going through so many emotions while reading it. There is this tension in the book that you can feel while reading it. There is the push and pull in the beginning because both of the characters really didn't like each other. So there is the simmer or romance building right from the start. The characters grow on you as you read the story. I wasn't sure I was going to like either one of them right at the start but boy am I glad that I kept reading because I sure did really end up liking the strong personality of Abby. Joe took a little time to grow on me as a great character but by the end of the book, I felt like I could be his friend. Some secrets come out in the book and that is the catapult of the story line. I feel that the book is a quick read and could be read in one day. I like that it was a quick read because the story line continued to flow easily. There didn't seem to be a lot of extra fluff and it didn't feel like it dragged on. This book was a really good read and I highly recommend it.

Abby (Whit) Whittier has a secret. She’s the heir to the Whittier land in Herd, Montana. She fears if she lets the town members learn her secret, that they’ll shun her for being part of the infamous Whittier family. Joe Staunch is a middle school teacher, ranch tour guide, and town historian. He doesn’t hide his dislike for Abby. Can he get over his suspicion that she’s hiding something big? Can Joe and Abby find their way to loving one another despite Abby’s secret?
This book is the third in the series. I read it independently. The first two chapters were difficult to read and confusing. A lot of characters were introduced quickly. I found it beneficial to take notes on the characters to keep them straight. I think I would have been less confused had I read the two previous books in the series. At first, I didn’t like Joe’s character. I thought he came across as self-centered and crass. I loved Abby’s character, though. I felt her heart was always in the right place. I enjoyed this story as it progressed. I found myself drawn into the small-town drama. I look forward to reading book four, and I plan to go back and read the first two books, as well. I recommend this book for readers who want a clean romance read.

This is the 3rd book in the Match made In Montana series. This is another slow burn romance with a western feel. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. However the character and story about the town and the rivalry between the founding families run through out so you would get a better understanding if you read them in order.
This is Amy and Joe's story.
At first they don't get on. There is something about the other person that rubs them up the wrong way and even though Amy tries to be friendly she can't break Joe's cool exterior.
Joe is very suspicious of Amy. He senses she is hiding something but he doesn't know what it is so he is always on his guard around her. However, he also can't stop thinking about her.
When they have to work together on two big events for the town the ice between them starts to melt and feelings start rising to the surface that neither of them expected.
However their journey won't be easy. Amy is hiding a secret and it is a huge one. One that could tear apart all the friendships she has built and also destroy any chances of a relationship with Joe.
These stories are moving and captivating. You can't help but be invested in the characters and their lives.

Unmasking a Cowgirl is the third book in the Match Made in Montana series by Rachelle Paige Campbell. It is a sweet, clean, cozy, slow-burn, contemporary romance with a small-town ‘western’ element, enemies to lovers, secret identity, angsty drama, emotion, intrigue, and tension.
Abby Whit and Joe Staunch make their dislike of one another pretty clear right from the get-go. There is no love lost between the two, and I really didn’t like Joe much at all to begin with. But thankfully, he did win me over in the end. Abby is no meek little wall flower, so Joe had his work cut out for him. But they eventually find a common ground, and feelings begin to ‘brew’. But what has Abby been hiding? And what happens when secrets are revealed? Add some tension, emotion, and intrigue- and this small-town romance just got a whole lot more interesting.
Even though this is the third instalment in the series, it could be read as a standalone if you wanted, as each instalment focuses on its own couple.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Rachelle Paige Campbell!

Everyone seems to like Abby and enjoy her food truck in the town of Herd...well, except for the local historian, Joe. And for good reason...she is hiding a secret and Joe is determined to figure it out. When the secret must come out in order for Abby to claim what is rightfully hers. However, the town has always though of her family as the villain in their story and she doesn't know whether or not the townspeople will be able to see beyond her last name. Add in some feelings (both love and hate) and you've got quite a conundrum. When all the cards are on the table...will Joe, and the rest of the town, be able to look past the deceit?

This was a quick and easy read that I enjoyed. There were many layers to this story and I enjoyed watching them all come together. It's a good story of someone trying to be more than the history of their last name. I have enjoyed the previous books in this series...but you do not need to have read them to understand the story. I was happy to be back in Herd...and look forward to what will happen next.

Unmasking a Cowgirl is the 3rd book in the Match Made in Montana series. I have read one other, but not the entire series, and while some characters overlap, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone story. Abby Whit has recently moved to Herd Montana, and has a big secret. She is a descendant of the Whittier family, a family that has all but been exiled from town. She is back, hoping to reclaim a small plot of land still in her family. But, she is afraid of the negativity surrounding her family's past. Joe is a teacher, as well as trying to develop his standing as a historian. He doesn't hit it off with Abby, but is paired up with her to help with the food at the biggest event in town. Joe and Abby must learn to put their differences aside and work together. Will Joe be her biggest supporter, or biggest enemy? Time will tell.
I liked both characters, as well as the supporting characters within the story. There isn't much romance in the story, but I am growing to love Herd and all its residents. Looking forward to the final book in the series.

I’ve read the previous two novels in this series and definitely felt the need to continue onto the next one. For readers who enjoy clean romance involvements, relatable characters and small country town vibes, this book and series is the right fit for you! I love reading the romantic connections in the past novels so I was looking forward to seeing which characters were involved in this third installment and how their story aligns in this small Montana town. Joe, a local teacher and historian, has a liking for everyone in Herd except for Abby.Abby owns a food truck and has been hiding a secret and time is ticking in making a major life decision. A love/hate relationship emerges between Abby and Joe but with Abby’s secret, it can either make it or destroy what they have. One thing I admired about this couple is the awkwardness that something comes into play where things need to be dealt with and not ignored. Those moments where it can make or break the relationship. Characters show their true colors to test whether this is what they want for their future.

Unmasking a Cowboy is the third book I have read written by Rachelle Paige Campbell. I was sucked back into this cute small-town western romance with the perfect Hallmark vibes. I didn’t think you could top the other stories in this series, but I think this one is my favorite in this series.

I had the privilege of listening to the audiobook narrated by Lisa Lynn Sandlin. Lisa did a fantastic job brining dynamics to this story. I could literally listen to Lisa read all day. If you have not listened to one of her narrations, I would highly encourage you to give a listen.

The setting is perfection. I love the small Montana town. Getting to become acquainted with the different characters and the history in the town was great. The storyline was great and had a lot of fun elements: Bison, Food Truck, Family Feuds/history, hidden identity, wedding planning, and more. With witty banter and great characters, it made for the perfect read.

This Opposites attract romance was kisses only, which was perfect and sweet.

*I received a complimentary copy from the narrator and voluntarily chose to review it. All opinions are my own.

Rachelle’s Unmasking A Cowgirl is the third book in the Match Made in Montana series. It is a sweet slow-burn romance set in a small town where everyone knows everyone.
Joe was one character that I disliked at first, but he did redeem himself later in the book, but Abby gave him his just deserts and it was unexpected but when she did it I felt vindicated. You go girl. The tension between the two is palpable.
Unmasking A Cowgirl is a clean western enemy to lover’s romance trope one where trust is everything. Tension runs high in this drama filled tale as Abby is hiding behind a lie that could tear it all apart. Hiding who she is but why?
Joe knows there is something about this beautiful woman that doesn’t sit right but what is she hiding? What is it about her that makes him dislike her so? What will he do when he uncovers her secret?
Only reading the book will give these answers. There are no spills here.

Unmasking A Cowgirl is Book 3 in the Match Made in Montana series....this is a enemies to lovers, small town slow burn clean romance with secrets, tension, drama. Overall an enjoyable story and while this could be read as a stand-alone, I do recommend reading this series in orders and get to know the characters as they are entwined. One of my favorite tropes is enemies to lovers and I love that this story of Joe and Abby delivered....although Joe was not my favorite character at first.

Abby is holding a secret and feels once it is know and out she feels like she will have so many people upset with her. Joe is trying to find out whom Abby is all about....and is distant and a bit gruff at times. When secrets are revealed will the attraction between Abby and Joe be able to overcome this obstacle...or will Abby have to leave Herd, Montana.....

This is a very good story and my favorite so far in this series. I am looking forward to the next book!!

Unmasking a Cowgirl (Match Made in Montana Series) by Rachelle Paige Campbell. This is the 3rd book in the Match Made in Montana which is a clean cowboy romance series. It can be read as a standalone but I always enjoy series best when read in order. This is the story of Abby who is a food truck owner that has recently come to the small town of Herd, Montana. Joe is a history teacher and the town's unofficial historian and there is something about Abby that doesn't sit right with him. He just feels like she lying about something. Abby does have a secret and its that her long ago relative who was not a great person has left her the only heir to some property in town. She is worried that when she claims it all the relationships she has developed in town will be destroyed. There is also a love/hate relationship between Abby and Joe and she knows that relationship won't survive. Will Joe find out her secret before she comes clean? This is such a fun, sweet small town romance.

Loved this Small town read. This story is about Abby Whit and a secret she carries about who she really is. Abby moved to Herd, Montana two years ago and started a life in the small town. Her family used to live there years ago, but was run out of town. Now Abby is wanting to try and claim the land that is rightfully hers. Only thing is how long her secret will remain hidden. Abby has made friends and some have even taken her under their wings to help her find her place in Herd. Will they be okay with Abby earning their trust to then turn around and tell them who she really is? With family ties and history a huge part of the town putting Abby in a major pickle on what to do. Deep down she really wants to stay in Herd, no matter what comes to light from her letting her secrets go. Her friend rally around her to show their support and tell her to stand tall and all will work out in the end.

This is the third book in the Match Made in Montana series. It is a wonderful romance series based in a small-town country setting that is so beautifully portrayed. Each of our main character's stories continues throughout each of the books, as well as focusing on a new set of couples. Each of the new couples needs to work through whatever situation is causing contention between the two before finding they have such a deep connection and shows how true love knows no bounds. What a great series this is, so old-fashioned in the morals of the people, it's such a refreshing, feel-good read. I hope that you all enjoy reading this series as much as I did, I cannot wait to read more from Rachelle Paige Campbell, who has such a magical writing style that combines old-fashioned beliefs with romance that gives you hope for a brighter future. Happy book hunting my friends, until next time!

Unmasking a Cowgirl (Match Made in Montana Series) by Rachelle Paige Campbell

Unmasking a Cowgirl is the third book in the Match Made In Montana Series and is a clean small town Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I read this in one afternoon sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. It may have started off a bit slow but that’s one reason I kept on reading. Man once it took off it really pulled me in. The characters are developed , relatable and complex. This is Abby and Joe’s story. She’s hiding a secret and not being totally honest about her true identity. Joe is the town historian and can’t stand Abby. He’s determined to find out who she isand what she’s up to. These two definitely have chemistry between them. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I don’t want to give to much away. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This is the third book in the Match Made in Montana series, and it is just as wonderful as the previous books! Although I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, you can definitely read this as a standalone without any confusion at all. Our two main characters, Joe and Abby, are incredibly well-developed. The palpable tension between them creates a compelling love/hate dynamic that kept me engaged to the very last page. Abby has a heavy secret which creates a strong emotional core to the narrative. The pacing is well-balanced, and the secondary characters enrich the small-town atmosphere. Overall, this is a charming read that captures the essence of love in the face of secrets. If you enjoy a clean romance full of love blossoming amidst misunderstandings and hidden identities, this book will not disappoint.

The third book in the Match Made in Montana series, this book and all the books in the series follow different couples and can be read as stand-alone stories.
In this book, Unmasking a Cowgirl we meet Abby. her family was one of the three founding families in this town and there was a falling out many many years ago. Well time is running out but she is back to claim her families land. Will she be able to convince the townsfolk that she is not the bad person they think her family is?
Joe is a middle school teacher and a local historian. He is also NOT a fan of Abbys. As time goes by he get more and more suspicious of her and well, read the book!!
This book has a slow start but as you get into it, well it really gets good and you find yourself rooting for Abby and Joe to overcome their issues and differences and find that they can offer each other so much more.

An enjoyable and engaging enemies to lovers western style romance. Joe is a teacher and amateur historian in the small town of Herd, in Montana. Ever since food truck owner Abby arrived in town Joe has had the feeling that she’s lying about her identity. Abby does in deed have a secret as she settled in Herd under an alias. Abby is actually the descendant of the infamous Whittier family and time is running out for her to claim her property. She’s worried this will destroy not only her life in the town but also her new relationship. The small town of Herd came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative as did the wonderful mix of locals. The chemistry between Joe and Abby came across in the story and I liked how their slow burn romance developed.

Unmasking a Cowgirl is a fun, small-town romance story. It is the third book in the Match Made in Montana Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone story. Abby Whit is hiding a secret. She is not being completely honest about who she is. Joe Staunch is the town historian and is determined to discover what is happening with Abby. Of course, there is chemistry between the two, and they don’t quite like each other. This a clean and easy-to-read, enemies-to-lover type romance. The story is sweet and the characters are fun. I enjoyed Abby’s no-nonsense attitude. I grew to love Joe and the other characters. The plot moves smoothly. This is quite a fast read and it doesn’t waste time drawing you into the story. I will be checking out the other books in this series.

Abby Witt moved to town 2 years ago. She's won over almost everyone in town, except Joe Staunch. Joe can't figure out what it is about her that makes him feel like this. When Abby's secret is revealed Joe realizes that maybe he's been wrong about her all along. Will they be able to put aside their own insecurities and finally get their happy endings?

I enjoyed the storyline of the book but I found the writing style to be very choppy. I felt that this made the story harder to follow. I found the supporting characters to be flat. I really like books that have well developed supporting characters. This could also be because I haven't read the first books in the series. Perhaps if I had I might have learned more about the town and it's residents.

A good book to end the series with. I haven’t read book one, just two and three but even in book two I never thought of Abby being part of the Whittier family. I wanted to scream at all the towns people who were against her as soon as they found out who she was. And the entire time my anxiety was going thinking the lawyer was going to screw her over in the end, good news, he doesn’t. I’m glad her friends didn’t turn on her when she told them the news of her true identity. Not going to lie, I was on and off about Joe. Some parts of the book I couldn’t wait for them to be together and other parts I was like is this really the guy she’s going to be with? But I am glad they got there happily ever after. I recommend to all clean, slow burn, romance readers.

Abby has set up her food truck in the small town of Herd. While everyone loves her and her food. She has a secret that could ruin her stay in the little town. As time is running out and she must come clean and tell why she is really there. She has so much to lose. Do you want to know more? Reading this fast paced story is your only option. As I will only tell you, this book is so worth reading. The author has created great characters and will build the story up to intrigue you like it did me. Lying is never good unless you have the reasons Abby has. Ok it is never good to lie. But sometimes it is necessary, in order to prove your innocence and that you are trustworthy. I love this story and think you will too.

Unmasking A Cowgirl by Rachelle Paige Campbell is the third book in a series called Match Made in Montana Book 3. It is a sweet love story that takes place in a small town in Montana. With it being the third book in the series, I sometimes worry that I won’t know the story. I did not feel this way at all! I was able to piece together the prior stories, and I definitely think it could be read out of order. Joe is a teacher and working on writing a book on the history of Herd, the small town in Montana. Abby runs a food truck, and is planning on opening a restaurant in the future. Abby has a secret that threatens to ruin her relationship with not only Joe, but several of the townspeople that she has become friends with. Such a cute story and one that I would definitely recommend!

This is the 3rd book in the series. In this book we get to know Abby Whit who moved to Herd Montana to reclaim family land. She got to know many of the town folk and really loved the location that her food truck is located, but she has a big secret. One person in Herd, Joe the school teacher and novelist, has felt something was off with Abby. When Abby’s secret is revealed, she finds herself in a situation she didn’t consider. Will Abby be able to continue on the path she envisioned alone or will some friends help her through this difficult time?
This is a story about a small town life that has deep roots and memories. The book is a wholesome story of people and friends who support you at your lowest moments.

Another good book by this author. Once you start reading you won't want to put it down.

I have enjoyed reading about the Kincaid's and the town of Herd. Herd is such a tight nit community that holds onto the town's history . Abby comes into town and shortens her last name so the town doesn't know that she is a descendant of one of the town's founding families that were run out of town. She has come back to try and see about the one strip of land that her family still owned. However, she is hesitant, to let the town know who she really is.

Joe suspects she isn't being on the level with everyone in town but doesn't know why. It's just a feeling he has, so he makes it rough on her.

Enjoyed the book and think you will too.

From the moment I met Joe and Abby in the first book, I was curious to read their story. I was not disappointed. This book is full of witty banter, heartfelt emotion, and drama. I loved Abby—calm, kind, and just trying to find her place in a small town. Joe wasn't kind to Abby for quite a while, but she wore him down eventually. I loved Hank, and hearing more about the other side characters from previous books. You don't have to read the other books to enjoy this one, but it will make for a much richer experience. I felt like I had come home to friends. This is a closed-door, no-spice, kisses-only romance.
The narrator was absolutely fantastic. She immediately drew me into the story with her beautiful voice and brilliant performance.

Highly recommended.

This book is the third book in the series and is another great addition that complements the other books. This book is one of my favourite tropes – enemies to lovers – and I found it really easy to connect with this book from the moment I started reading. I thought the characters were such interesting ones to read about, and probably my favourite ones of the series so far.
The book is really well written and exactly what I have come to expect from this author. It was engaging and an overall great story. This series is one I won’t hesitate to read more of and I am definitely looking forward to exploring more from this author. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book that I would recommend.
