Elm Jed is obsessed with creating stories through writing, videos, or painting on random pieces of wood. When they’re not telling their best friend a new story idea from reading a book they hate, they’re playing DND, conjuring spells, playing dress-up, or going for a long drive.
They're a Marine Corps Veteran, and love spending time with the Ren Faire family.

They absolutely love their supportive partner and husband, who makes sure they eat between writing and reading the books they collect for their hoard.

oh no THAT CLIFFHANGER!

You know, I had heard about Elm’s notorious cliff hangers but I didn’t think this would be so bad. It took me a while to jump into book two after reading book one. But dang I might need to jump into book three like…yesterday.

Very good series, Autumn is my favorite character obviously.

If I could give this one more then 5 stars I would.

I am not lying when I say I read this book 10 times within the first week it was released. I bought it in paperback, but it wasn't going to get to my house in time, so I bought the ebook. Read it twice the day it released, then when the paperback came to my door, I read that twice. And it kept being the book I grabbed to read.

Again I love the real life showings of the mental health topics. I don't suffer from PTSD or have flashbacks, however panic attacks and anxiety attacks are something that I go through, and I have never felt so seen in a book.

The relationships outside of Leo continue to be my favorite. Chesty is my favorite side character. His support of Autumn is something that is wonderful to see.

Its nice to see Autumn and Leo's relationship grow, and see Autumn grow into her own self. With Leo's help, and guidance she's able to start to properly heal from her past. Start.

Of course, since this is the second book in a 4 book series, it also ends on a cliffhanger. The foreshadowing wasn't has "HIT YOU IN THE FACE" and the first books foreshadowing. This one was subtle, and you would really have to look for it once you made it to the end.

This book has quickly become a comfort read of mine. For all its dark topics, it something I can pick up and know that I'm not broken because of my own mental health struggles. I actually had to force myself to move on to a different book, because I loved this one so much.

cliffhanger alert

Dang it Elmo! You left me with another cliffhanger?!?!!!

Leo and Autumn have to figure out if a relationship is possible.

If you haven’t read the first book in the series, back out and read it.

Autumn gets some much needed help and finds some family within Leo’s circle. Someone becomes Autumn’s enemy. Autumn gets a better therapist (finally cause I hated her). Leo wears fuzzy socks. Leo cooks bacon. Say hello to Chesty for me when you meet him in the book. I’m not putting spoilers in this review!

Will be rereading….a lot!

Hades and Persephone…

This story picks up right where we left our favorite ray of sunshine, running from the bad guys…or was that to? The twists, turns and emotional upheavals almost put you in the skin of the main character as they try to navigate a world they thought they left behind. But don’t worry there are plenty of demons to go around.

This book and the first one have been healing for me. I was very worried going into these due to some personal stuff, but it has been nice to read about how the main character heals under the care of another. I can't wait to keep reading book 3 and hope there is a book 4.

Same glorious deliciousness

Got a few typos but story remains excellent.
Wish the female protagonist learned to trust professionals more though. On to book 3
