It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this many emotions from a book…I’m still crying as I write this. This is definitely my favorite witch series I’ve ever read, and I forgot exactly how much I loved it until finally picking up the last book. This story is absolutely heart wrenching. I love each character so much, and I feel like the author did such a good job of giving each sister solstice their own story (although I do wish we got more of Sorcha and Asa). While this doesn’t have a HEA in a traditional sense, it’s still a HEA. I won’t spoil anything but be prepared to CRY. Anyways this series is criminally underrated. The story that’s woven throughout the series is so complex and multi dimensional—the way so many things tied together in this book was amazing. This is truly such an amazing fantasy series that I’ll forever recommend for the perfect spooky season vibes

This series started so good but got progressively worse with each book. I loved Autumn, liked Winter, meh Spring, and didn't like Summer of Sacrifice. The story of this one would have been enjoyable, but it could have done with some serious editing and refining. There were many confusing or repetitive parts and grammatical errors. I ended up skimming a lot of it to just get the story, and the reading process wasn't that enjoyable for me. It felt rushed and like the author didn't really know the plot either.
Also, really? A second wedding ceremony and birthday party right before the final battle? Which only lasted for 3 pages btw. Just not sure why Vampa focused so hard on some parts of the story and then skimmed over the critical bits

One of the best endings to a book I've read, struggled through some parts but was sobbing by the end!

I have not wept like this to a book since KOA. 4.5 books was not enough time with these beautiful characters and their stories. The way everything wove together was incredible and heartbreaking. I wish I could reread all of these books back to back for the first time.

Also we were robbed of 🌶️that🌶️ scene between Sorscha and Asa! 😂

I dragged my feet on finishing this book because it was the last I had in the series. I just didn’t want it to be over but once I was into it I didn’t want to put it down. YES IT’S THAT GOOD. This series has so much of what I’m looking for in books. AND then I spied w my little 👁️ @JL Vampa posted someting about a #sisterssolstice novella 🤩 so I’ve now got that to look forward too plus collecting her remaining catalog of books. Idk how I’ll get to sleep tonight. I expected to be teary, which I was at many points, but that end … gurrrrrrrrrrl. Just get the series & then tell me who your favourite characters are 🦉🐍🦋🦇💀🧪🔮👗🥮🎪⚔️ #jlvampa #jlvampabooks #booktok #books #bookseries #witches #witch #thegrimreaper #seasonalwitches #summerofsacrifice #thesisterssolsticeseries ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm so glad I stuck with this series!
This book is the perfect ending to the series. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with Seleste! The neat bow that the author puts on the whole story is amazing!!

My only nitpick is that the three A characters' names kept confusing me. Agatha, Asteria, and Athania.

This series has some of my all-time favourite characters. It made me feel everything—I was literally sobbing for about 15% of it straight. The relationships are just so tender and full of passion.

And the romance? Completely wrecked me. I’m such a sucker for the ‘It will always be you’ and ‘in this life and every life’ tropes, and they were done so beautifully here.

Overall, I absolutely loved this series. It did lose me a bit in the middle because there was a lot going on, but honestly, it was so worth it.

Series 4.5*

I waited to finish the last book to leave a full review bc there was just so much happening throughout the series- but gosh, where do I start?! I couldn’t put down the first book, & was literally left on a cliffhanger, so I couldn’t wait to start the 2nd to see more into Grimm & Aggie’s world. Looking back, I’m thinking Sorcha/Sister Spring’s story could’ve been told last, bc ugly cry face, she didn’t technically have a concentrated (love) story like the other sister’s did . Her’s was literally scattered throughout the books, thrown in among the other’s. Sorscha was 1 of my fave sisters, so I was a bit disappointed her & Asa’s story was kinda rushed & the juicy details just alluded to. It was lovers to enemies, yes, but too slow of a burn. During Sister Spring’s book, I seriously thought she would end up with Gaius & this would become another Tamtam scenario. In my opinion, Sister Summer would’ve fit best as one of the earlier books/stories, bc it’s a closer storyline to where King Caliban is mentioned briefly. Also, Lady of War (book 3.5) could’ve just been a prologue or epilogue!

Beautifully told story, but sometimes it dragged on…
But, alas, everything happens for a reason, & thank you JL Vampa for giving us the gift that is the Sisters Solstice!! The writing was chef’s kiss, 5 stars!!

the answers & ending we’ve been waiting for ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was a long journey with the Solstice Sisters and this was such a great ending to the series with a final wrap on all our favorite characters and couples.

I struggled with the pacing throughout the series and this last book was no different. All the answers we’ve been waiting for are finally delivered…. all at the same time. It’s a lot of information to take in at once and I really wish some of the answer were spread out throughout the series.

The intricacies of how magic is shared and the overall world building across realms was so well written and detailed, I think some of that gets a bit lost with everything being answered in the second half of the book.

Seleste’s personal story we go through is truly heartbreaking and I’m so grateful this is the “past” we read in between wrapping the series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ wrap on the Sisters Solstice and the perfect ending Summer of Sacrifice delivers.

Finally, it’s done.. the series that started as something so endearing for me and ended up being a chore. The first book was excellent, i didn’t enjoy as much the 2nd and 3rd.. the 4th actually a bit better than the middle two. But, because there are already too many things mashed up into the story during book 2 and 3, the 4th, despite of finally they are doing something, it’s already becoming a messy story. And the ending, was very much predictable and anticlimactic. I had many moments that i want to DNF this book, but i was already too invested so i pushed through.

I didn’t bother to read their spin off, Lady of War. I might still want to read the novella though. Maybe.

What a fantastic ending to the Sister solstice series. Vampa executed this fourth and last novel perfectly. Loose ends we're tied up, we got to meet new(?) characters and fall in love with this story all over again. For me personally I think this book is my favourite after Autumn of the Grimoire. I'm really sad that it's over but also really happy since the end result was perfection. I can't wait to read all of these books again, and again from start to finish

Well this had me laughing, crying, screaming WHAT THE FUCK throughout.

I enjoyed this series. The emotions and development of each character, plus the playful banter had me hooked. The plot was incredible. I’m always disappointed at the end of battle scenes. This book lead up to it, the anticipation of the end of millennia and it was meh. But I was more interested in the romantic aspects of the characters. Seleste’s story had me in tears. And I’m glad it was a HEA.

Pros: This was the sweetest love story of the four sisters. I loved it so much. Twists were good. I felt like this was more cozy than the rest of the series.

Cons: the TYPOS in the ebook, my god! Drove me up a wall. The climax. We built up the big bad villain for 4 books, and it takes 95% of the way through this book to get there, and lasts for 3%? It felt like I blinked and it was over.

That said, I loved this book and series. This was my second favorite book/sister of the series.

I have loved this book series so much it’s given me all the emotions I love in fantasy romance novels. I was in bits and crying my eyes out by the end of this last instalment..took a little longer to get the plot going and for it all to come together, but it was so worth the wait. I love all the characters so different, flawed and loveable. Highly recommend this series.

If I could give this a 4.5, I would. The final ‘sister’s’ history and point of view has to be my favorite out of the final 3 books, finding myself wanting/looking forward to her past point of view, just as much as the current plot/timeline. The author did well tying everything together, coming full circle, for such a beautiful end to the series.

A beautiful end to a beautiful series! I cried, I laughed, I screamed and I smiled.

J.L. Vampa characters are always so special, their love, sisterhood, and friendship... I adore every single one of them so much ❤️

Ps: I wish we got a little more of Sorscha and Asa

while I thought it was a beautiful story, it was a bit confusing especially at the end. Too dang long, too wordy and at times quite boring. For such a build up to this final book, it was a disappointing dud.

I sobbed at the end. This was such an amazing final book for a series. I didn’t expect the ending but really should have (was probably in denial). I’m going to miss these characters so much. Absolutely beautiful. This series deserves to be in the spotlight more.

How do I feel about the end of the series, my favorite MC were Agatha, Winnie and Gideon. I read this series slowly over 2 months on purpose and I will definitely binge reread them again. I'm sad this has come to an end.

I cried, and then I cried again. This series has been so good! I don’t normally read fantasy or romantasy but this was top tier! Loved it so much.
