Begin a new family tradition this Christmas with The Donkey in the Living Room picture book and box set by Sarah Raymond Cunningham with illustrations by Michael Foster.
Children will learn the true meaning of Christmas through the individual stories of the characters present at Jesus’ birth – the Donkey, Cow, Sheep, Shepherd, Angel, Camel, Wise Men, Joseph, and of course, baby Jesus – intended to be read each day in the 9-days before Christmas. Stories are read alongside corresponding Nativity pieces, which are to be wrapped and hidden for children
Totalmente recomendado.
I gave this book 4 stars because of its cutesy poem. I was looking forward to seeing how the story would be told and I enjoyed the story. I just think something was lost when the story was so cutesy. It is amazing how young children can handle such a spiritual story when we give them the chance. There is a series of bile telling for children that is called, Godly Play and this story, The Donkey In The Room had me hoping for a family experience of the Christmas story. I do like the concept and I can see a way to add characters to last longer than 9 days. I also come from a tradition that celebrates the 12 days of Christmas and Epiphany. I am glad I bought the ebook version.
Very cute book for children to show them the true story of Christmas, step-by-step. I think reading this book will become a Christmas tradition in our house, while the children are little.
