As usual with this author, this was an OTT, fast-paced novella.
That mistake made by the hotel in the beginning was just not realistic and definitely unexpected 😅. That wouldn't and shouldn't happen at that level.
Her mom stepped on my nerves. Ugh, what a judgemental woman. I didn't buy her "redeeming" act. *rolling eyes*.
I get it. It's fiction. It doesn't necessarily need to be believable, and a sane dose of drama is always welcome, but the mix in this novella just annoyed me. 😅😅
Their relationship was fine, fast, hot, intense, and everything else. Then HEA. Bam, bam, and it was all over.
I already have the next one and will try it, I'm curious.

This is another good, quick read. I really appreciate this author's creativity with these characters and their world.
Damien and Charleigh have a fun meet-cute, when they both arrive at the resort, for Colton and Marley's wedding (you should have read Colton before this one).
This isn't a typical OTT, Alpha, knock her up asap, insta-love read, but he definitely falls first and claims he quickly. Their chemistry is good and they have a good HEA.
This is easy to read and enjoy. I recommend reading this author and this series. Preferably in order, for the best experience. I received a complimentary copy of this book, and happily leave my review.

This was a forced proximity insta-love romance.
These quick read Insta-love stories are my guilty pleasure. I love how The author can develop the characters and story so quickly and leave the reader with a feel good impression. Would recommend!

Damien is not a fan of weddings. He is at the HRV resort for Nash's wedding, and then he plans to be out of there. Except, when he arrives in his room, he finds a surprise, there was a mixup with the reservation, and a friend of the bride was also assigned to the same room.
Cindy Smoke has quickly become an automatic read for me. I love her writing style, especially this entire Heart River Valley Series. All of her books can be read in about an hour. There is always a great story, wonderful characters, lots of chemistry, and a HEA. This book was no different, it was a super cute read, and I am looking forward to the next one.

Without sounding like a bigot, Damien was a lot more than your typical mountain man. I mean, he wanted to discuss books, art and history with his ideal woman and quoted Shakespeare for goodness sake! Sorry, that’s just my geek showing and I couldn’t have been more delighted to read about a mountain man with brains as well as brawn. Believe me, it’s a rare occurrence. Charleigh, on the other hand, didn’t make quite such an impression. Oh, she was sweet and likeable enough, but only seemed to shine when she was with Damien. Her mother was a piece of work though with her snide comments about Charleigh’s curves. There were a few jumps in the plot that kinda made my head spin, and although I know these are short stories, I would have loved just one extra chapter before the epilogue to show how Charleigh and Damien went from bedroom to forever.

Charleigh is a smart and curvy interior designer from Atlanta. Damien is a hunky, intelligent mountain man. When Charleigh is in town (Montana) for her friend's wedding, she ends up sharing a hotel room with Damien due to a mix-up. They have a funny meet-cute and instant chemistry. When they attend the wedding, things get hot and S-T-E-A-M-Y!! But what happens when the week is over? Can they make a relationship work? The chemistry between these two was off the charts hot 🔥🥵!! Damien is such a swoon-worthy hunk, and Charleigh deserves his love. We also got the sweetest ending! I can always count on Cindy for a great short and spicy read, and this did not disappoint.

Damien and Charleigh. Shes an interior designer and hes well a rugged mountain man. They have been assigned the same hotel suite by mistake. She steps out of the shower and wraps her hair and thats all and steps out of the bathroom and freezes hes listening to ear buds and when he turns her way she realizes shes naked...OMG she runs back to the bathroom. He thinks his brothers got him a stripper. They are they for a wedding and he thinks getting married is hell on earth. He can get any women he wants for a night which is all he wants but Charleigh could care less. Well things get pretty crazy from there....really loved this story.

A mixup at the resort front desk was the best thing that ever happened to Damien and Charleigh during her best friend's wedding at Heart River Valley, Montana where there are ten gorgeous single men to every single woman. Women practically throw themselves at Damien, but he finds none of them attract him, until he sees a bare behind heading into the bathroom of his room at the resort. What gives? Enjoyed this stroke of luck in room assignments that was sometimes humorous, but always it had a point to make.

Charleigh is the FMC and she is in Heart River Valley for a wedding, Damien is Colton’s brother( from book 1) and is at the same wedding, due to a mix up they end up in the same room and sparks fly. Damien doesn’t believe in love at first sight although his friends and sister are living proof it can happen but with Charleigh his views are changing. This was a quick and steamy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am ready to pack my bags and move to Heart River Valley( 10 cowboys for every woman?) good odds indeed. 😜

Damien has always been more light than serious, and not really any long term commitments. When he meets Charleigh, who are. both attending her best friend and brothers wedding.
They might get forced into sharing a hotel room, but noone forced the sparks between them. This is such a feel good, meet HOT cute story you can't help but flip from page to page.
Its got the heat you need, the heart you want, and the mountains to keep it all looking so envious!!

Sweet, but needs proofreading.
I enjoyed this story, though I wish that Damien had to work a little harder. I’m surprised their awkward meeting never came up again.
There were a lot of typos.
There were also some logical errors when trying to give depth to Damien’s feelings. He knew her less than 24 hours before proclaiming that she’s the only woman who can hold his interest. Was his attention span that short before? I’m all for insta love, but it’s a pet peeve of mine when things don’t make sense.

This is Book 2 of Heart River Valley: Rugged Mountain Men starring Charleigh and Damien. Well I have to say that surely is a welcome every guy wants and every woman might want but never admits it, but Charleigh should win an award for being an adult in that instance and not kick Damien in the shins. I have to say sassy works for both these characters and hilarious story with a romantic ending.

I absolutely love this series so far, and the fact it's linked to Cindy's previous series is just great.

I did not like the mmc. He was a womanizer. How he gna flirt with a female in front of tge fmc n get her number. He is a dog. No coming bk from that. Hoped she hook up with the other brother. Not my kind if mmc. I Hate players. Anther thing that is aggravating is when the fmc jus gives in to the mmc so easily. I disliked this story ..

Forced proximity romance stories are always fun to read because you never know what you're going to get or how it's going to end. Ms. Cindy has written a wonderful book and great addition to her Heart River Valley :Rugged Mountain Men series.
