My love for reading developed at an early age. My parents, Daniel and Gwendolyn Odidison, were both avid readers and encouraged me to read as much as possible. Trips to the public library were the highlight of my week and by the time I was in junior high I was reading everything from biographies to suspense to True Confession magazines!

I got my big “break” when I was only fourteen-years-old. I read my first poem at my local church and received a standing ovation. Reading my poems and seeing my plays come to life on stage proved to me that I had a God-given talent for the written word.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education, I hugged my family goodbye and boarded a plane for Seoul, South Korea. I loved every minute of living in Seoul. The people, the food, the culture, the shopping. Three years later, I returned home with a fresh outlook on life and a gorgeous fiancé (yay me!) Jean-Claude and I married, settled into our new home and now have an adorable, three-year-old daughter named Aysiah who keeps us very busy.

I penned my first novella while teaching in South Korea and upon the advice of a good friend and colleague I transformed, Other People’s Business, into a full-length novel. I wrote The Trouble With Luv’ soon after. Two years and thirty rejection letters later, I signed with super-agent Sha-Shana Crichton from Crichton and Associates. Six weeks later I had a two-book deal contract with Harlequin’s African-American Romance line, Kimani Press.

Her Kind of Man, and Love T.K.O. were both released in ’08, and this year there are more scintillating stories to come. I’ve written seven books now, but I feel like I’m just getting started! A huge thanks to all of you who attend my book signings, send me I-love-your-book-emails, leave messages on my Facebook page and who are recommending my books to other die-hard romantics. Sage Collins and Marshall Grant will heat things up in Games of the Heart (August 2009) and a feisty PR Director and a fine, ex-NFL running back rekindle the flames in Passion Overtime (November 2009). Read an excerpt of my novels under the heading Books.

If you enjoy a good romance story, rich with desire, scorching HOT love scenes and a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, you’ve come to the right place. Grab one of my books, recline in a comfy chair and enjoy the ride! I guarantee you’ll love the heroes and heroines featured in my stories. They’re strong but flawed men and women who are just looking for a little love and tenderness! That’s all for now, friends.
Happy Reading and be blessed!

Things aren’t always what they seem.

I know that I love reading stories about how two characters think they hate each other and by the end of the story they are madly in love. I do have to say that it did take me a while to get into the story. When I started reading this story I didn’t know if it was going to move but I have to say that I got into it. I knew it took me a while but by a couple of characters I became intrigued because it seemed that the playboy was a totally softy. It seemed that out of the three Morretti brothers he was the sensitive one the one that had his heart of his sleeve. As soon as I got into the story the characters were interesting and I wanted to know more about both of the main characters but I also wanted to know more about his other two brothers.

I have to say that I was charmed by Demetri Morretti because he was just so lovable. He was a famous professional baseball player but he wanted his privacy. He just wanted for the paparazzi to leave him alone he wanted to be normal then came this wildcat newscaster and now he wanted nothing but to give her a piece of his mind.

Angela Kelly is a woman that gets what she wants but she wants to do so much more in her career. She wants to do more than to talk crap about celebrities she wants to talk about what is going on in America. Okay maybe it’s not her that is talking crap about the celebrities but she thought that they did their leg work. Now here she is at her workspace and she has the sexy as hell baseball player in her face.

They were both attracted to each other so what was the problem why couldn’t they have some fun. Angela got her directions from her boss and that was to get that interview with Demetri but when she goes to this event the last thing she thought she would be doing is kissing Demetri.

When they finally start seeing each other Demetri knows that he is falling in love with the sexy newscaster. Angela can’t stop smiling but then something happens and his assistant is at her doorstep. It seems that she has been doing some digging and she knows what she did. Demetri knows that he loves Angela and he doesn’t mind telling her and he knows what he wants and he will do anything to get her. So when he surprises her with something wonderful she walks out on him. When he learns the truth about the two women that he cares about who will he chose. Will Angela finally be able to forgive her brother for what he did?

Seduced by the Playboy was a well written story. I love how both of these characters were meant for each other and that Demetri went for what he wanted. The romance between Demetri and Angela is sweet, passionate and they deserved each other. I know that I said at the beginning that it was slow to get into but I think I liked that I was able to get to know the characters a little more. I was able to see the relationship between these two characters develop into something beautiful.

I can’t wait to see who will be next in this series to find the one just like Demetri found his one in Angela.

This story is about friendship, love, family dynamics and forgiveness woven into one. They started off wrong footing with Demetri confronting Angela for the article that she did about him. The video of them arguing leaked out and her boss want her to do an interview for Demetri to tell his side of the story. He doesn’t want to but her boss insisted her to get him to agree for a show. Being someone who is persistent, she is not backing down and as they spend time together, they begin to like each other and is surprised with the instant chemistry between them. I like both the characters of this story. One is strong and passionate with her work, the other is compassionate and honest. This book have giving me a very good feeling from the beginning till the end and I like the fact that Demetri goes after what he want. Overall, it is a good read for me and I totally enjoyed reading it. a

I received this book in an ARC giveaway, this has in no way influenced my review/opinion.

While I liked this book I didn't really love it. The writing was great, the characters were well developed, the descriptions were perfect, and everything was good.
I just didn't LOVE it. It was good, and the writing was tasteful. I would recommend it just not very highly.

I won this book and was sooooo excited because I hardly if ever win anything!!! First off I am a huge fan of Mrs. Yaye, I just love the way she tells a story.

This book was very good from the begininng to the end. I liked how the hero knew who he was and what he wanted and went after it which included Angela the heroine.

Angela, I liked because although she appeared strong and determined she was a giver, and compassionate. However, because of what she did in the past, she felt she wasn't worthy of love. That is when Demetri comes in to show her that she is worthy.

I was introduced to Angela in her friend Simone story " Passion By The Book" and Demetri and his brothers in a short story that you can find on harlequin.com " No Christmas Without You."

I cannot wait to read about Demetri brothers.

Received Seduced by the Playboy through the goodreads program. I was not required to review this book.

I really enjoyed reading about Angela and Demetri. This is a story that shows you can make all the plans in the world about your future; but in the long run; it's all about the plans God has for you and what He says you need in your life that will make you happy. The theme of the book, other than romance, seemed to be more about forgiveness...not for the person you forgive, but for yourself. You need to forgive others and yourself to be happy.

The romance was excellently stated as well...a little steamy in parts and just enough to keep us romantic readers entertained. Thanks to Pamela Yaye for a really good read!

Angela Kelly is a newscaster who does a piece on Demetri Morretti and it doesn't paint him in a good light. Demetri decides to go and do something about it and he is determined not to back down and Angela isn't going to back down either. Both of them were surprised by the instant chemistry between the both of them. As they spend more time together they actually really like each other but there is someone from Demetri's life that doesn't want them together. Angela has to face some issues from her past before they can have a life together. I loved this first book in this series and I cannot wait to read book two in the series.

This was a great love story between Demetri and Angela. For a playboy he was an honest John that changed from his misunderstood ways. As for Angela, she had to,learn that secrets can ruin you and having you second guess yourself. Excellent read and I can't wait to read the next installment in the Morretti Millionaires series.

This is my second read of Demetri and Angela's love story and I must say that I enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did when I read it the first time!

Forgiveness a gift to yourself...

Demetri and Angela was a whirlwind read and romance. Dennett is an athlete that has forgotten the good he can do. Angela is a woman on the rise with a secret to hide. they fall in love. Supporting characters throw in drama, betrayal and a cry for their stories too be told. This is a recommend read. The Morretti are some kind of sexy.

CONCEPT
The concept of this story recluse athlete confronts a local newscaster for slander, which is then caught on camera forces this couple to embark on a journey that should lead to popularity but instead take the seductive route. Outside forces and people intervene that develop a few “bumps” in this growing relationship. The couple must learn to trust their feelings.
STORY
Synopsis: Fiery newscaster Angela Kelly wants nothing more than to take the Windy City by storm. But with her show's dangerously low ratings, she stands to lose everything. The pressure is on to save her career, and a tantalizing exposé on wickedly sexy professional baseball player Demetri Morretti might be her last shot. That is, if she can handle the irresistible desire brewing between them…. Demetri sets out to teach the sensual broadcaster a lesson, and doesn't think twice about trying to seduce her. And then a secret about Angela's past is revealed. Now Demetri is determined to gain her trust and prove to her there's more to him than just his playboy status. Because when it comes to love, he always plays to win.
CHARACTERS
Angela Kelly is an ambitious newscaster who consistently tries to stay on top of her game in her profession. She does a news pieces on professional athletes gone bad that brings her face to face with the very sexy and irresistible Demetri Morretti. She is harboring a secret that she feels once revealed Demetri will wash his hands of their budding relationship. Sparks fly between these and readers will feel the chemistry and fire these characters portray in the pages of this story. Demetri is portrayed as an African-American/Italian guy whose celebrity status does not fit the man Angela glimpse. He has a quiet side that does not want the spotlight but he has to realize that he needs to become more personable with his fans. He falls in love quickly and tries to get Angela to realize she wants more than just a career.
DIALOGUE
The dialogue in this story flowed very well and was well crafted. The character interaction was at times funny and the glimpse of Demetri’s sensitive side has readers wanting to find their own professional baseball player with this sex appeal.
STRUCTURE
Again Ms. Yaye did a great job crafting this story and was able to allow readers to feel the passion between Demetri and Angela. Readers will see how Angela helps Demetri to come out his comfort zone and interact more with his fans and he shows Angela how to recognize true love.
OVERALL
Seduced by the Playboy was the first book in the Morretti Millionaire series and it came out the gate with a bang. We are introduced to the remaining Morretti brothers and it will be good to see which brother, Ms. Yaye will shoot with Cupid’s bow.

"Seduced by a Playboy" by Pamela Yaye which I won through Goodreads Giveaways is a delightful and entertaining romance that begins with Angela Kelly's scandalous and salacious report on "Eye on Chicago" about Demetri Morretti, a celebrity baseball player and notorious bad boy. Disgusted with its half truths and outright lies Demetri confronts Angela at the network and finds he's not only angry but attracted to the fiery reporter. What begins as a cat and mouse game between the two quickly ignites and flares into a heated romance.

The plot although interesting isn't complex and somewhat thin; boy pursues girl, they have sex and fall in love. Although there were references to unsavory behaviour in Demetri's past including a gold-digging ex-girlfriend, and the exposure near the end of Angela's shameful secret neither impacted their relationship. Any of these could have provided a further element of tension and suspense. The only fireworks that erupted was when Nichola discovered the truth about Angela's past, threatened to use it against her and Demetri confronted her. But, woven into this romance are heavy doses of friendship, love, family dynamics, and forgiveness which add passion and drama to the tale.

I enjoyed the characters but like the plot they aren't multifaceted. Angela the feisty, headstrong and passionate female broadcaster and volunteer at the homeless shelter wants to leave her mark on the Windy City rather than marry and have a family. Demetri Morretti, the Chicago Royals baseball player on hiatus with a shoulder injury is reclusive, frugal and sensitive to idle gossip at his expense. He appears to be loyal, honest but somewhat arrogant. I thought he fell too hard and too fast for Angela, and was too vocal about his feelings although I did like his televised proposal. No-nonsense, and savvy Nichola Caruso, and Demetri's fun-loving and womanizing brother Nicco are strong personalities who add a dash of spice and fire to the story.

The novel is enjoyable although I would have loved more twists and turns in the heady romance between Demetri and Angela.

Actual rating: 2.5 stars.

I received this book in a giveaway, and it has in no way influenced my review.

What can I say... Insta-love. Very fast-paced. The story could have been much better if the characters (especially Angela) weren't so one-dimensional. Honestly, the only redeeming factor is the relationship between Morretti brothers, but even they only appeared for like 5 pages of the book.

I thought Demetri was a sweetheart, and probably the most developed character in the book. Angela, on the other hand, was quite the opposite. I could not relate to her character at all. She is whiny, and at times, so stupid. It's good that she wants to be an independent and ambitious woman, I'm all for that, but good God, does she have to be so judgmental? She assumes that all professional athletes are assholes, and I hated that.

Also, their relationship just did not seem that real to me. They constantly mention that they love each other, but the story is so fast-paced that you don't really get to see any moments where they truly connect with each other. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed very superficial.

This is one of those books where the characters just.. exist, but there is no real reference to their past, and you really don't know anything about the characters. There's a big secret that Angela carries from her past, but in the end, it doesn't really reveal anything about her. In my opinion, the book did not appeal to pathos at all.

I think the author should write a book on funny escapades of the Morretti brothers. That seems much more entertaining.

Overall, I would recommend this book to someone who wants a quick and easy read, and enjoys instantaneous love. However, this was just not my cup of tea.

2.5 Stars. TV Reporter Angela does an exposé on baseball player Demetri’s bad boy ways and sparks fly between them.

The author did a great job of setting the glam scene for her story with the descriptions of the clothes and the décor, I totally pictured all of it, the romance, however, moved a little fast for me, I just wanted it to take a bit more time for them to transition from animosity to love.

My favorite aspect of the book was definitely the reversal of the traditional romantic roles, I loved that Angela was the ambitious, career driven one with no interest in settling down, while Demetri was so contrary to the public’s perception of him, all about gardening, cooking and having a family. I was kind of disappointed when those differences between them weren’t explored more, lovers wanting opposing things at that point in their lives, to me, just seemed like a more interesting and difficult problem for them to deal with than Angela’s secret from the past.

Book One of The Morretti Millionaire Trilogy, tells the story of Chicago Newscaster Angela Kelly and professional baseball player Demetri Morretti.

Angela's career is on the skids and to give it a boost she targets Demetri as her scandal star, reporting on his escapades and prowess with women. She knows nothing about Demetri's private life, only what's rumored and what's been reported in the tabloids. Demetri's had enough and intends to confront Angela at the television studio where she works. The confrontation produces immediate thoughts of seduction for both, but Angela has a reputation and a not so innocent past of her own.

SEDUCED BY THE PLAYBOY is a excellent start to a exciting series. The Morretti brothers come from a unique background and are very wealthy in their own right. They love fun, the ladies and living a high-profile existence. I can't wait to read the next installment, SEDUCED BY THE CEO.

I won Seduced by the Playboy through a Goodreads giveaway. I'm very appreciative to have received the book but, unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it the way I'd hoped. I don't particularly care to read stories that are repetitive with excessive detail descriptions. However, it was more about the lack of tension and drama that kept me from really getting into Seduced by the Playboy. That's an issue I've had with Kimani Romances in general. While well written from a grammatical standpoint, they all seem to follow the same pattern--boy meets girl, information is constantly repeated and rehashed, boy and girl break up over something that could've easily been cleared up, and then they make up and live happily ever after. Sadly, I didn't find this book to be much different or any more interesting than the rest.

Seduced by the Playboy tells the story of Angela Kelly who is a newscaster. She does a story on Demetri Morretti which isn't exactly flattering. Demetri heads to the station to confront Angela, and soon the sparks are flying between them.

Demetri and Angela were both interesting characters, and had strong personalities. I enjoyed them together, and had a good time reading this book.

The only issue that I had with the story is that the romance and proposal was very rushed. It wasn't very realistic, and I was a bit bummed out by that. Otherwise, I thought it was an entertaining story with some entertaining twists.

I won a copy of Seduced By The Playboy in a Goodreads giveaway. Imagine the joy I felt winning a book by one of my favorite authors, Pamela Yaye.

What a great start to the Morretti Millionaires series. Demetri Morretti and Angela Kelly both had huge hearts, this made them ideal for each other. I really loved Angela because she challenged Demetri in so many ways. Pamela really know to take her readers on a journey. In this book you get romance, passion, secrecy, and forgiveness. If you are a fan of Pamela Yaye, like me, you will want to purchase her new series.

The storyline was good as were the characters but the book lacked something to keep the momentum going. There was an overabundance of description of things and that extra space in the novel could have been used for more dialogue. Overall, "Seduced by a Playboy" is only an okay read!!!

From start to finish the story of Demetri Morretti (baseball player) and Angela Kelly (newscaster) catches your attention. Angela has misconceptions about Demetri and he sets out to show her that he's not the man she thinks he is. Demetri plays to ein and he wants to win Angela's heart. This is the 1st book in the Morretti Millionaire series.
