Kasey grabbed her towel and pulled it tight when she heard the knock on her door. Since she wasn’t expecting anyone, she stopped drying off and decided to see who could possibly be bothering her. After all, she was supposed to be at work today and no one knew she'd called in.

Making her way to the door, she wondered what type of karma she'd invoke from calling in sick when she hadn’t been. She just really needed a break. Any kind of break.

She looked out the peep hole in her apartment door and saw no one.

“Damn,” she muttered. “Stupid kids must be playing around in the building again.” Having had enough of their pranks, Kasey decided she was going to give them a piece of her mind.

Opening the door and starting to rush out, her foot bumped something. Looking down, she saw what had to be two dozen long stem, red roses bound by a red rope.
