In the fifth installment of the Bold of Love series, a lot is happening to propel this couple forward. It’s been three years since Jake and Emily moved to Chicago. Emily is planning their wedding, Jake is building their house, and Drake is turning fourteen. However, one person seems to be at the root of the disruption of this exciting time.
Jake.
He seems to only care about his career, which is causing problems for both Drake and Emily. Drake feels like he has no one to turn to with Jake always out of reach. Emily is left to take care of everything outside of the world of professional hockey while feeling less and less like Jake’s Sweetness. In the months leading up to the wedding, this family has to tackle their issues and remember what matters the most.
Jake and Emily won’t shy away from working together to keep their relationship going strong, especially when they are running towards their happily ever after.
Lindsay Paige is the author of multiple Young Adult, New Adult, and Sports romances. She also enjoys writing books with characters who deal with anxiety and depression, issues which are close to her heart. Lindsay is a North Carolinian who loves watching hockey, sharing puns, having conversations with her two dogs, rewatching episodes of M*A*S*H, and living her dream of writing books for a living.
As indicated in the synopsis, Jake and Emily do have a lot going on in their lives. This story was well told and the ending made me smile as it took a lot of growing up on both Jake and Emily's part to get to where the ended. Lindsay Paige has made this whole series enjoyable reads for me. I am sad to see it end, but am glad that I read all of the books in this series.
Such a great conclusion to Emily and Jake’s romance story. Throughout this series Jake and Emily had ups and down but ultimately they were meant together. Loved how the author, Lindsay Paige, wove the storyline. Loved how the series starts with Emily and Jake in high school and ends with them getting married. Throughout the storyline, I could see a lot of concepts can be related to how kids go from the adolescence to emerging adulthood and the struggles with a major romantic relationship. Such a great read.
It was the perfect ending to an amazing journey!!!! I loved reading all 5 books!!! Definitely a good read and I loved how it related to how real life can be sometimes no matter who you are.
What a wonderful ending to a lovely book series. I have cried and laughed with each character and their exciting lives. I'm sad that this series is over but they did get eventually get their happily ever after.
When a series takes two characters into a full story, it's exciting to watch them grow, to make each other complete. Jake and Emily are very special, and even though life hasn't gone easy on them, they prove in every step of the way, that true love can overcome anything; this characters experience loss, pain, family issues, harsh things like an accident and a miscarriage, but in every book of this series they would always look for the bright side. This series was a great journey, I can definitely recommend it to anyone who likes romance but with a little thrill, twists and unexpected circumstances. This is a great book from its author. It's time for me to continue reading and join in another journey.
I AM SO SAD THAT JAKE AND EMILYS STORY IS OVER! This deserves more than 5 stars! Jake and Emily are finally on the right path to happiness with only a few bumps here and there, planning a wedding, hockey and drake, this story is full of exciting page turning events. But my absolute favorite part of this book (even though it ended and made me sad) is the last paragraph. I haven't read a book with such a beautiful ending in such a long time! Lindsay you nailed it girl! Can't wait to read other books from you!!!
Once I started reading the very first of this series I didn't quit until finished... literally. I finished all 5 just short of two days. I couldn't get enough. Although I wished it would have gone far enough to the birth or gender reveal even of a Benson baby, it was still so great.
Overall i liked the books. They were a very cute couple, I thought the conflicts were resolve way too easy and somethingg were mentioned but not explore. But it was a good read all 5 of them
