I got this book first and was later given the original first book. Frankly I liked and used the first book more than this one. I liked some of the patterns but found I did not use her technique as much. Any block can be made using the stack and scramble method of creating blocks. These blocks were very wonky and improvisational.

I as I said I like the first book, STACK THE DECK, better than this book. I think the explanation of the process was also better and more detailed. If this is the only book you can get it is okay, but I would hold out for getting the first book if I could.
