RATING: 4.5/5

“Beau & Autumn” is Book 4. Did I read Books 1-3? No, no, I didn’t. But do I ever? My point is, I don’t believe you have to. These are standalones. However, I might go back and read them after all. The story is easy to follow. I’d like to know more about the characters mentioned. Beau is a nerdy guy who wears Star Wars hoodies and has an equally nerdy best friend, Hudson, who is looking for love, too. I know I’ll be reading that book next.

Beau, though, has been crushing on his other best friend, Autumn, who happens to be eight years older than him. He is in a predicament that he has the answer to—marry him. The agreement between them is to be just for show, but to the outside world, it would have to be accurate. But lines are crossed, and feelings are revealed.

“Beau & Autumn” was a sweet story. I love how the nerdy guy got the girl. And I especially love how the nerdy guy is truly “brawny” under that Star Wars hoodie and a freak between the sheets.

This was such a great book. I loved the friends to lovers' story. This family is amazing, and the characters were so good. I love how it also was a marriage of convenience for best friend's and then how they developed. It's such a great spicy romance.

Reverse age gap romance at its Best, and for the first time found me enamored by these two characters!
Filled with family banter hilarious text messages and the sweetest sexiest geek of a cinnamon roll with the filthiest mouth and mind!
Mackenzy Fox sure knows how to write the hottest swoon worthy MMCS ever !
Truly Well Worth The Read !

Wedding photographer and would be heiress Autumn is overextended from investing her savings into launching her business and repairs to her townhouse. She’s been turned down by her bank and her only hope is to collect her inheritance. Unfortunately, there’s a stipulation that her grandmother requires, and it’s for her to be married and check this … also to a man of their choosing!
A plan was hatched by one of her friends but if lately she has been thinking of her best guy pal in a non type of friends way .. and Lordy were these thoughts steamy !

I groan, the frustration coursing through my body only means one thing; I have a date tonight with my battery boyfriend. Courtesy of Beau Bassett.
Autumn ~

Why can’t I get my best friend out of my head or his sexy scent and pretty eyes. It’s like I’ve had Beau Kool Aid and now I can’t go back.
Autumn Leaf~

Online gamer, part owner of a successful brewery, and app developer Beau and just the sweetest guy ever has been friend and bestie with Autumn for years, but became extremely aware of her after she rescued him by outbidding everyone at a bachelor auction.
lately his thoughts of her have been far more than the friendly kind. When he learns of her dilemma, he’s on board to be the convenient spouse she needs, and hopefully more.

“I don’t give a shit about anyone else you were with before me. They were obviously dumb fucks who don’t know their way around a beautiful woman’s body.” Holy shit, yes! “So I’m gonna change all of that. If you’ll let me.”
Beau~

“I want to f@ck you now,”
Beau~

And let’s just say that this sweet as can be guy is super sexy with dirty talk and of course BDE!
He plans to low key get his girl no matter the cost.
Yup .. that’s just how these Brothers in this series rolls!
This was a cutesy, reverse age gap that will have you melting when these two finally did the deed!
It’s riddled with family shenanigans which I absolutely love and appreciate since I get a glimpse into past couples lives and the latest story that’s about to unfold with Georgia-Blue Beau twin sister.

Definitely recommend this sweet series and can’t wait for the next installment!

Wedding photographer and would be heiress Autumn is overextended from investing her savings into launching her business and repairs to her townhouse. She’s been turned down by her bank and her only hope is to collect her inheritance. Unfortunately, there’s a stipulation that her grandmother worked in that requires her to be married, which is not at all appealing to Autumn.

Online gamer, part owner of a successful brewery, and app developer Beau has been friend with Autumn for years, but became “besties” with her after she rescued him by outbidding everyone at a bachelor auction. However, lately his thoughts of her have been far more than the friendly kind. When he learns of her dilemma, he’s on board to be the convenient spouse she needs, and hopefully more.

This was a cutesy, reverse age gap book, although in some respects the FMC was less mature than the MMC. The nicknames, the group text chains, a lot of it read like YA with some spice thrown in. Also there were so many other characters from previous books in the series either mentioned or thrown into the mix. This book mostly works as a standalone but if you haven’t read the first several books you’ll be diagramming out the relationships and commonalities to keep everything straight.

I received an advance reader copy from The Author Agency and bookfunnel, and I’m sharing my honest opinion.

This is a reverse age gap, best friends to lovers, marriage of convenience romance is sweet and steamy, and a long slow burn.

Beau and Autumn are best friends, and they’ve secretly had more than friends feelings for each other. When Autumn needs help to access her inheritance, Beau agrees to marry her.

Beau is the hot geek who is incredibly kind, sweet and all kinds of hot. Autumn is a strong independent woman who struggles with her feelings for Beau. She tries to dismiss them, but him calling her ‘my wife’ Is doing things to her.

The Discord family group chat is fun, and you get insights to the other family members, many of which who have appeared in the previous books in this series. You don’t need to read them to enjoy this book, but it will enrich the reading experience.

Thank you @mackenzyfoxbooks, @dakotahfoxbooks and @theauthor.agency for the e-ARC of this fab story.

Cute

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: friends to lovers
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥

This was a really cute story. Frankly, A little too "cute" for me, but I'm a sucker for reverse age gaps as well as nerdy heroes, so it still checked a couple of my boxes. Well written, but little to no conflict and super predictable. I think its a perfect book if you're looking for small town sweet.

This was my first book by this dynamic writing duo and I loved it. This is a best friends to lovers, reverse age gap, marriage of convenience love story. As you can tell, there was a lot going on. Autumn and Beau are best friends who secretly lust after each other. Beau agrees to help her out of a bind and they get married. This marriage is the best thing that happens to them. They get to be with their perfect match but they have to figure that out while finagling their family expectations. This was a beautiful story about friends who are perfect together. Beau is a sexy nerd who doesn’t expect Autumn an older sexy woman to be into him. Autumn learns in the best way possible to never underestimate the quiet man. Beau, while sweet and nerdy, delivers all the man that Autumn needs and wants. I loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one. I’m a fan now ladies. You’re stuck with me.

Beau & Autumn: Bassett Brothers Bourbon is the fourth installment in the Stoney Creek Series by the dynamic twin writing duo Mackenzy Fox and Dakotah Fox. This friends-to-lovers romance is infused with humor, charm, and a touch of Southern warmth, making it a delightful read for fans of the genre.

The story centers on Beau, the quintessential golden retriever hero—loyal, kind-hearted, and always ready to lend a hand—and Autumn, his long-time friend who finds herself in a bind. Autumn needs a husband to escape an undesirable match, while Beau needs a way to get his well-meaning but overbearing family off his back. What begins as a simple arrangement quickly evolves into something much deeper as the lines between friendship and love blur.

One of the strongest elements of this novel is the chemistry between Beau and Autumn. Their relationship is rooted in years of friendship, which adds a rich layer of emotional depth to their interactions. The authors do an excellent job of portraying the ease and comfort that comes from knowing someone inside and out, while also exploring the challenges that arise when those familiar feelings begin to shift into something more romantic.

Beau is an incredibly endearing character. His laid-back, easygoing nature is a perfect counterbalance to Autumn’s more driven and slightly bossy personality. The tension that arises from their new living arrangement is both humorous and heartfelt, as Beau finds himself unexpectedly captivated by the woman he’s known for so long. His internal struggle between honoring their agreement and following his heart is depicted with a tenderness that will resonate with readers.

Autumn, on the other hand, is a strong and independent woman who is initially reluctant to complicate their friendship. Her vulnerability as she grapples with her growing feelings for Beau is portrayed with nuance, making her a relatable and sympathetic character. The authors skillfully navigate her journey from seeing Beau as just a friend to recognizing him as someone she could truly love.

The Southern setting of Stoney Creek, with its charming small-town vibes and the Bassett Brothers Bourbon Distillery at the heart of the story, adds a cozy backdrop to the romance. The family dynamics, local traditions, and close-knit community further enhance the warmth and authenticity of the narrative.

In conclusion, Beau & Autumn: Bassett Brothers Bourbon is a heartwarming and engaging romance that perfectly blends humor, emotion, and Southern charm. Mackenzy Fox and Dakotah Fox have crafted a story that celebrates the beauty of friendship evolving into love, with characters who feel like old friends by the end of the book. If you enjoy friends-to-lovers romances with a bit of fake relationship fun and a lot of heart, this book is must-read.

This is Mackenzy and Dakotah Fox’s small-town series and Beau and Autumn are the fourth couple in the series. I haven’t read any of the others so I can tell you that you can happily read this as a stand-alone if you choose.

I can’t say that I loved this story and I wanted to, it had plenty of the tropes that I enjoy. I thought it was a good story and the characters definitely had great points, but this just never hit the high notes I was after.

It wasn’t quite a slow burn but everything just seemed slow. Part felt a little repetitive and unnecessary which probably added to the feeling of slowness. There were parts I really enjoyed and easily made up for the slow parts (no it wasn’t just the smutty parts).

I would say the last 40% flowed much better and gave this story a boost.
.
.
.
Beau is one of the youngest siblings in the Bassett family and he works at the distillery with his siblings. He’s also lucky enough to have his best friend around a lot of the time too. Autumn Davenport is a photographer in town and has been hired by the Bassett Brothers Distillery as the on-staff photographer which is only going to get busier now they are almost ready to start hosting weddings on-site.

Lately, though Beau can’t stop thinking about Autumn in very un-best friend-like ways. Ever since the auction where she saved him from the single ladies in town, he sees exactly what her dumb ex gave up when he cheated on her.
‘There is nothing about me that Autumn Davenport could possibly want in that way. I just curse the lucky bastard who’ll be the one to share her bed and make her laugh. He has no idea he’s the luckiest man on the planet. And I’m Beau Bassett. A hopeless romantic who needs to get out more. Maybe then I’d stop this ridiculous notion about me and my best friend. No good can come of that.’

Autumn needs to figure out what to do about her current money crisis. Starting her own business and buying her house have pushed her to the edge of her finances and she had hoped her inheritance would help out, but instead, she’s hit with the fine print of the deal and an arranged marriage is not something she is willing to sign up for. No matter how much she needs the money.

With Beau offering her the money she knows he means well but she can’t take it. She’ll have to figure something else out starting with asking the bank. When things don’t work out as she hoped it leaves her stressed out and upset.

Beau can’t stand to see Autumn upset and he has a plan but he’s no idea if he can convince Autumn that his plan is a good one. Even though it’s likely to make his new thoughts about her any easier to ignore.

Beau’s plan is crazy. They not only have to lie to their family and friends but they have to convince everyone they are in love. The problem is that she doesn’t think she will have to pretend too hard because lately she’s looking at her best friend as much more than a friend and being close to him is only going to make those thoughts harder to fight.
‘But why is my body humming to Beau Bassett’s drum all of a sudden? Why can’t I get my best friend out of my head or his sexy scent and pretty eyes. It’s like I’ve had Beau Kool-Aid and now I can’t go back.’

A fake marriage plan could either solve all of her problems or create a whole lot of new ones. She could lose Beau and break her own heart. For Beau, he could lose his best friend if he plays things wrong or he could find that his other half has been in front of him all along.

‘Oh, I think I just died and went to best-friend’s-bed-heaven and I don’t ever want to leave.’

Happy Reading.

Southern Comfort

Beau and Autumn was my first read from authors Mackenzy Fox and Dakotah Fox and I loved it so much I now have to go back and read about the other Bassett Brothers. This is a stand alone book that you can enjoy all by itself, but don’t be surprised if you go looking for more like I did.

Tropes you can expect:
💗Small Town
🔥Fake Relationship
💗Friends to Lovers
🔥Forced Marriage
💗Reverse Age Gap
🔥He Falls First
💗Online Gamer MMC Cinnamon Roll Hero
🔥Beauty & the hot Geek

I absolutely fell for Beau Bassett right away. He’s a hot geeky gamer boy who still knows how to get his hands dirty. He loves his family and friends especially his BFF Autumn. He’s loyal, polite and just an all-round good guy. He’s been friends with Autumn a long time, but never thought someone as beautiful and smart as she would ever be interested in him. Besides why would he want to potentially ruin a perfectly good friendship? Autumn also finds herself crushing on her handsome geeky friend, but like him, she pushes off those feelings because he’s her younger BFF and doesn’t want to ruin their friendship.

“It’s always the quiet ones you gotta worry about.” Boy is that true. Beau may be a southern gentleman, but he has a dirty side in bed and it is hot! This story has a slow burn for quite some time, but when those temperatures rise, you better have a fan nearby. A glass of sweet tea might also be called for.

These two were so destined for one another. Friends and family seemed to suspect on and off through time, but Beau and Autumn always denied any kind of attraction. That’s often the way of things though. Sometimes you just can’t see what’s right in front of you. I love the friendship they have and the deep love that had grown without them even realizing it. Beau would do anything to help Autumn. He’s such a cinnamon roll and Autumn truly appreciates him for everything he is. These two support one another 100% and it’s so heartwarming. The way he calls her Autumn Leaf just gives me massive heart eyes. I loved the story and the Bassett family. Beau and Autumn are couple goals and the HEA was swoon worthy. I can’t wait to read more books by this duo!

Book Review: Beau and Autumn by: Mackenzy Fox and Dakotah Fox

So for this week’s Fan Girl Friday Pick I have The Stoney Creek Series!

I absolutely am obsessed with this series from book one and they just keep getting better and better from there. I’m super sad that there is one book more after this one. But with that being said this is a super steamy read Beauty and the Geek 10000%.

He is totally undercover Clark Kent vibes and she’s the total package.
I loved these two and really felt the most relatable to them out of all the characters because my husband is the geek and I’m the artistic, seriously independent woman and I totally vibed with Autumn. She’s authentic and doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do and when she’s put into a corner she doesn’t take any road but her own. I loved the family banter especially the crazy text thread. He is a true cinnamon roll with a mouth on him whoa Beau has my heart.

As I said above I really related to Autumn especially because I started my own business and deal with the struggles and being able to make it all work and their way they wrote her was truly believable. I felt all the feels of anxiety and determination. Her family and their issues made me cry I felt for her.

The slow burn, pining, and flirting was so deliciously good. This story is very heartwarming that is full of humor and emotional roller coaster.

Eeeeeeeppppp this book was so freaking adorable I can't even express it. I dig the friends to lovers trope. I don't read it enough. This was the fourth book to the series but my first. I didn't need to know the previous stories to enjoy this book. Although I'll probably have to check them out now. The Bassett family is sweet as pie. I loved their dynamic.

Beau. Baby boy. I love me a cute nerd who's /stacked/. Always behind a computer, either creating some sort of app, helping the family business or just playing video games. It was fun to see what else lay behind those glasses of his. And man oh man does he have it bad for his best friend. So darn cute. He was trying to be the perfect gentleman. Even if it meant having to sacrifice his heart.

Autumn, coming from a family that....is complicated. Branching out and creating her own path. I love an independent woman who's not afraid to Stand on her own. And I can relate to the world kicking you while you're already down. But she took it in strides. It helped that she had a wonderful support system. And a particularly handsome best friend who she was secretly in love with.

SPOILERS!

I love that Gran was just like Autumn. It was so cute the way she was able to connect with her. And I was so happy that we didn't have to go through a whole breakup thing between these two. They were married, and within a week they realized it wasn't fake. How deeply in love with one another they were. I loveddddd.it. This was such a cute story and I love how respectful and loving they were to one another. Their love confession was top tier. Excuse me while I swoon.

I can't wait to see what happens between Hudson and Georgia. I can already see a good story coming from them. From the way they were bickering back and fourth already

This is the 3rd book I’ve read in this series and by the Dakotah & Mackenzy Fox together. I love this series and the 2 main characters Beau & Autumn. They are best friends who both have feelings for each but are too scared to tell each other. Autumn’s family is very old fashioned and want her to have an arranged marriage and she wants no part of it. Her Mom says she can’t receive her inheritance until she’s married. She needs videography equipment for her photography business & a new roof, a few other expensive fixes on her home. After applying for a loan and getting turned down. She’s not sure what she’s going to do she considers asking her brother for money but decides not to. Her friend Carrie tells her she should get “fake married “ to Beau so she can get her inheritance and wouldn’t have to marry a stranger. She brings up this idea to Beau after having a few glasses of wine and he says they should do it much to her surprise. Even after waking up hungover she thinks she’s ruined their friendship and Beau has already sent her a text saying he meant what he said about getting married. A few weeks later they go a town over and get married they tell his family and some of them are skeptical but happy for them. Her family responds the same except her Mom she’s not happy at all. Beau & Autumn’s chemistry is super hot & Beau has quite the dirty mouth! I definitely recommend this book as well as the others in this series. I can’t wait for the next book! What will happen? Will her mom ever accept their marriage? Will they have a big wedding with all of their family?…..

Those Bassett brothers are getting better and better with each new story. The snippets of Beau and Autumn in the previous book got me wondering what they'll be up to but I was never expected this. I always loved the friends to lovers to marriage of convenience vibes because of all the angst and those flying spark . Beau and Autumn have such a crazy chemistry between them and that tension was palpable. The reverse age gap was spicing the things up for Beau and that geek charm was working its magic on Autumn. Loved it how everything was so real for them and they gave everything to make this marriage work. They were so supportive of each other and each other biggest fan. Autumn was so smart and thoughtful and I loved it how she made the life she wanted for herself . And that included the relationship with her partner. And she didn't want to settle for less. Beau was so sweet and caring and always had Autumn's back. Geeky Beau was such a gentleman but behind closed doors he turned into the sexiest swoon worthy cinnamon roll with the dirtiest mouth ever . And Autumn is one very lucky lady. Loved it when they finally come to terms with their feelings for each other and that their marriage is the real deal . The banter in the family chat made me laugh out loud all the time but Beau and Autumn calling each other wifey and hubs got me smiling . The epilogue was a chef's kiss. They got their happily ever after and that beautiful white wedding . Needles to say that after that sneak peak into Georgia Blue and Hudson's story got me very excited and that tropes are perfect .

Thanks to the author and the Author Agency for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.

The Fox sisters have created a wonderful Small Town community and honestly feel part of, every time I read this series.
I absolutely love the families and surrounding friends. It's heartwarming and so welcoming.
The Basset family is an absolute delight and each character are different. My favourite is the discord group chat. You will understand when you read it. Although this can be read as a standalone, it is best to read all the other books to understand all the other relationships.
This one was the last of the 4 brothers and I adored Beau. He has the hot geek vibe. He is sweet, caring, kind smart, protective and possessive. His best friend Autumn is 8 yrs older than him. They get on so well and are lost without each other. They have been in love but just don't know it.
Now as Autumn is single and the auction drama has opened the door to feelings. Both noticing the other in a different light and can't help it. Both think the feelings are unrequited as friendship and age gap is a factor.
The marriage of convenience maybe just what they need for the push.
These two seriously had me on the edge, waiting for the pinnacle of all the s3xual chemistry. It was so hot but not getting anywhere. But it was most definitely rewarded in the end. Worth the wait. As I'm greedy I wanted more of the spice from them haha.
Another great addition to the series, packed with humour, family love and drama, witty banter, flirting, emotions and spice.
I have been waiting for Georga and Hudson for soo long and can't wait.

ARC REVIEW

Oh, where do I even begin with Beau and Autumn? This book by Mackenzy and Dokota Fox has me absolutely giddy! Imagine a story where a scorching-hot computer geek and his best friend—who just so happens to be eight years his senior—have loved each other for so long that when they finally let the floodgates open, it’s nothing short of magical. The chemistry between Beau and Autumn is simply intoxicating, like a spellbinding dance of love that has been brewing for years.Beau is not your average tech genius; he’s got this swoon-worthy charm that’s impossible to resist, especially when he steps in to marry Autumn in her time of need. Their relationship is a beautiful blend of dirty talk, sweet gestures, and those heart-melting moments that had me clutching my heart with every page turn. It’s the kind of love story that leaves you in a daze, dreaming about the wonder of finding your true love in your best friend. And can we talk about the Bassett family? I’ve been following them from the beginning, and I am absolutely buzzing with excitement to see what’s in store for Georgia-Blue and Hudson next! Mackenzy and Dokota Fox have crafted a world so rich with love and warmth that it feels like coming home every time I pick up one of their books. If you’re looking for a story that’s going to make you believe in the magic of love all over again, this is it. Beau and Autumn is so cute and enjoyable - it's one of my favourite tropes, reverse age gap, but also mainlines marriage of convenience and best friends-to-lovers.

Beau and Autumn have been best friends for some time, and they’ve both secretly been harbouring more feelings since a bachelor auction a year ago where they made a deal to 'save' Beau which led to both seeing each other in a new light. When Autumn is struggling for money and can't access her inheritance without a husband, due to her old-fashioned and overbearing family, Beau convinces her they should enter into a marriage of convenience, just as friends.

The couple are adorable together. Beau is a hot nerd who is thoughtful, kind, very sweet, and totally surprised that someone as amazing as Autumn would be into him. He's also incredibly supportive of Autumn, standing up for her in a quiet, no drama, manner, and is still able to tease her and make her laugh. Beau is the perfect cinnamon roll hero. Autumn is determined to be independent after growing up in a rich, controlling family. She's proud of the business she has created from scratch and the new life she has nurtured in Stoney Creek, including her friendships with Beau and the various Bassetts and related friends and family.

I never quite bought that their marriage would solve the inheritance issue - given that her Grandma wanted her to have an arranged marriage and that's what the whole issue was about. Nor Beau's claim that their marriage would get his parents off his back - there wasn't really any evidence they were more than passingly interested in his love life, but I guess it was a nice excuse to help encourage Autumn to marry him and honestly I didn't really mind!

Overall this is a really heartwarming story about two lovely people who deserve every happiness, and who find it together. One of my favourite little moments is when Autumn is screaming in the bathroom and Beau comes racing to rescue her, only to discover a very small spider is the cause. Beau is delighted because he gets to ogle Autumn in the bath, and to tease her rotten about being such a wimp. It really made me laugh as that's exactly how things go down in my house!

This is an ARC review of this book that was lucky enough to receive. This is reverse age gap, best friends to lovers, marriage of convenience story that I absolutely loved!

Beau is a geek- a gamer- and Autumns best friend.
Autumn is a struggling up and coming photographer - and Beaus best friend.

Autumn is down on her luck and can’t get any money to expand her photography business. The bank won’t loan her the money, and despite Beaus offer she’s not gonna take a handout. She does have a huge inheritance due to her- once she’s married.

In a drunken confession Autumn tells Beau about this and Beau suggests they get married. She’ll get her inheritance and he’ll get his family off his back about settling down.

Let the chaos and secrecy begin. If this plan works she gets her money and that’s that. They go back to normal. If it doesn’t she may lose it all. The money and the friendship. Is it worth it???

What could go wrong??? What they both don’t realise is that they both have feelings for each other but neither one refuses to be honest about their feelings for fear of rejection.

This is a slow burn romance but once the heat hits it’s on!!! I loved the friendship and genuinely love these two share for each other. Both will do anything to protect the other.

I really enjoyed it. The brothers and other family members and side characters really added to it.

This is the 4th book in the Bassett Brothers book. I went into this w/o reading the others and it was fine. No real spoilers re other characters.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a reverse age gap romance. This is the story of Autumn and Beau. She is a wedding photographer and is set to inherit some money. However she has way over extended herself investing in her business and making repairs on her townhouse. She can't get a long and is getting desperate. She knows her only hope is what she is set to inherit from her grandmother. But, she sure never expected her grandmother to add marriage into the mix. She has to be married to inherit and has not intention of marring ever.
Beau is a gamer, part owner of a brewery that is successful and he loves to develop apps. The man has his hands in everything. He and Autumn have been friends for as long as he can remember. She saved him from a bachelor auction that could have gone wrong fro him by outbidding everyone. They have been close ever since. When he finds out what is going on with Autumn he is more than willing to be on board with being the husband she needs. Never mind that his feelings for her have been changing for a while.
I really loved reading this story. I loved these characters. They will really steal your heart. However, I have to warn you that sometimes you will think that he is older than her at times. She is super immature in some ways and you have these moments while your reading that feel like your reading a much younger girl than she really is.

ARC Review

Tropes:
Small Town
Fake relationship
Friends to lovers
Forced marriage of convenience
Reverse age-gap (8 years)
He falls first
Online gamer
MMC cinnamon roll
Beauty & the hot geek

This book was just adorable! The friends to lovers with an older independent FMC & a shy Cinnamon Roll MMC... Perfect!

Autumn & Beau have been friends for years and even with all the teasing, they haven't seen each other as more than friends. Or at least admitted it to anyone, even themselves. When Autumn is a financial crunch, getting denied a loan, she believes her only option is to get married in order to get her inheritance. With the suggestion from her best friend & a few too many drinks later, she jokes about marrying Beau to get her inheritance.

With the facade of helping his best friend get her inheritance, Beau decides to take the opportunity of being married to Autumn to get her to fall in love with him.

It was hilarious reading the confusion of these two😂 They were slowly figureling out their feelings & completely shocked that they had feelings for each other, while everyone around them had seen it for years.

I loved that Autumn finally stood up to her mom & they finally understand each other. It was wonderful being in the Bassett Brothers world again! Can't wait for Georgia-Blue & Hudson's story next!

Beau and Autumn ARC Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What can I say about Beau and Autumn? I loved this book. What a great read.

Beau is the cream of the crop, such a dream boat, coming to the rescue for Autumn when she’s have a ruff time with a leaky roof and financial problems with her photography business, and his oh so scrumy thoughts about her.

Autumn is a sweet, attentive girl who likes to put a smile on everyone's faces, especially Beau's. She is having a tough time at the moment, but she's taking it in her stried, with Beau in her corner.

To solve Autumn's problems, they agree to get married so she can receive her inheritance and solve her financial problems. That's when the fun starts. And the spicy moments are hot, Beau is just wow, every girls dream.

The banter and innuendos between Beau and Autumn is enjoyable to read, and the rest of the Bassett's, their input and shenanigans, is top notch.

Beau and Autumn are perfect together, but don't realise it straight away and try to convince themselves otherwise because of the strong friendship. Their chemistry is sparkling, and their naughty thoughts about each other is to die for, you'll love it.

Mackenzy and Dakotah Fox are such amazing writers. I'm looking forward to reading more, and the next books they write.

Holycowboy Beau & Autumn just stole my heart. I am a sucker for small town friends to lovers with a fake romance twist and WAM BAM, Beau conquered and swept me off my friggin feet!

I am in SWOONWORTHY TERRORITORY for sure. These southern Bassett Men are one of a friggin kind!

Beau & Autumn's chemistry and connection is just mouth watering, with both having undeniable attraction and feelings. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it's a reverse age gap that did not affect the storyline at all, which is darn refreshing!

There are far too many sweet steal your heart moments that honestly make you need and want a Beau of your own!

Autumn is so independent, and I love that about her, the fact she is determined to make a difference and stand on her own two feet. She honestly has such a likeable factor and quality about her and her undiable loyalty shows.

I am IN love with the book, and although I hate to say this, I haven't read the others, I have DOWNLOADED them all ready to binge!

What a phenomenal and beautiful romance set in a tranquil and peaceful town based on love laughter and friendship ❤️

I think I fell in love with Beau before Autumn did. That man couldn’t have been more perfect if he tried. Maybe I'm biased because my hubby is a big ol' cinnamon roll gamer but there's something distinctly hot about a man that can work his fingers like that.

Beau & Autumn have been friends for years, so who better to turn to in a time of need than your bestie? Beau decides to help Autumn gain her inheritance, but what starts out as fake quickly becomes real for him as he starts having not so friendly thoughts about Autumn.

Autumn is struggling with her growing feelings for Beau, and who can blame a girl when he pulls the "my wife" card. I mean...SWOON!

I absolutely love that the couples from previous books all play a roll in th ones after theirs. The family group chats give me life!

My trips to Stoney Creek just keep getting better and Beau & Autumn will make you want to take a trip there yourself.

While you can read Beau & Autumn as a standalone, you will gain so much more into their family dynamics, and get to know the other couples by starting at the beginning of this stellar series!

I loved this book and I loved these characters! The two main characters and love interest were just too cute. Starting out as best friends, they had that foundation needed to build a strong relationship.

Autumn, at 33, is 8 years older than Beau. But when she falls into some financial hardship, one of her girl friends suggest she marry Beau. You see, her family has a stipulation that in order to gain her Inheritance, she must be married. One alcohol fueled night, she jokes with Beau about it and he's automatically on-board.

But this doesn't go without some issues. The two begin learning way more about each other than even they knew, including Beau's sexy mouth. I loved that there wasn't a huge buildup to that moment they realized their true feelings for each other. The two always loved each other, so this was the boost they needed to act on those feelings.

I've only read a few books from the series, so I loved that the authors gave a bit of a crash course of the other couples in the series.

I highly suggest this if you love friends turned lovers with an age gap. A story with minimal drama and issues between the couples.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review.
I am absolutely adoring this southern small-town romance series. This cute town and all of its charm makes it feel like coming home every time I open my Kindle. I cannot get enough of the fun and loving Bassett crew. The brothers and Georgia Blue have me cracking up all the time. I love their family dynamic and how close-knit they all are within the community.
Beau and Autumn, longtime best friends, find themselves in a predicament where they mutually decide to a marriage of convenience, without knowing the other is also harboring real feelings.
These two are utterly adorable together and their chemistry is off the charts. Beau had me swooning at every page, he is literally perfect, these two may be my favorite couple. Autumn is strong and independent and has made a home for herself in Stoney Creek. I loved how she was successful on her own regardless of her family’s opinions and influence. The unwavering support from Beau will make you MELT.
I just love this town and the characters.

The reverse age gap romance just won my heart. Beau and Autumn both are so genuine and lovable that you just can’t ignore them or their chemistry. It’s a forever romance and destiny that starts with a fake marriage. The ups and downs are interesting but nothing heartbreaking.

Fox sisters did amazing with this one where there is no heartbreak but the story touched my heart and I appreciate the plot, it captivated me from start to finish. The involvement of the Bassett family here and there just enhances the experience of reading the story.

Although the book is standalone, I will suggest you read the books in order of the series to gain the maximum experience and understand all the dynamics the characters have with each other and how much that bond means to them all. It’s a very soothing & calming read.

It hurts to see some instances being out of control and negativity attached to those instances, but I loved and adored fully that Beau was supporting Autumn in every way he could. Autumn's cat is a real charmer which made me think that I should get one for myself.

Beau & Autumn were perfect! I loved everything about it. F/the cute banter, the family texts, the really sexy scenes, the girl talk about how well the Bassett boys are endowed, & of course the romance between Beau & Autumn- it all made this story perfect. Normally I don’t care much for the reverse age gaps, but Mackenzy & Dakotah did such a fantastic job at writing Beau & Autumn‘s story that I easily fell in love w/this book. I loved that they already had a solid foundation of being friends before becoming more. I thought it made their story so much more special.
I cannot wait for the last book in the series- Georgia’s! I’m ecstatic for her & Hudson! She’s been such a great character throughout the series & I can only imagine how great her own story is going to be! However it’s definitely going to be bittersweet saying goodbye to this amazing family, I love each & every couple so much. And all the side characters have made this series perfect & I can’t recommend it enough! But I’m also super excited too, because I can’t wait to see what these sisters have in store for us next!

4.5/5⭐️
Autumn is in need of funds for her home and business. Unfortunately, she can only claim her inheritance if she is married. A crazy but brilliant idea is proposed and she and her best friend, Beau, gets married.

Beau is a nerdy tech geek who is described as Clark Kent-like. Beyond his looks, what I liked about him was how attuned he was to Autumn. Though she tries to put up a front, he knows that she is not doing well. I also loved that their marriage has the strong base of friendship to keep them rooted.

But can they step away from their fear of destroying their beautiful friendship to give their marriage a chance? That is the biggest question they both have, unknown to each other.

This is a classic example of fake relationship or marriage or convenience trope done well. From their very valid fears, to the slow realisation that they are truly in love, to the sizzling hot chemistry, everything is just perfect!

Thanks for the ARC! I can’t wait for the last book in the series.
