Ugh. I need the third book. Please 🙏 😭 this book dove more into each court and provided us with more details/history of them. There is also adventure, twists, and things that will make u wanna throw ur kindle 🤣. I have enjoyed this series so far! I have another book boyfriend added to the list! He is very morally grey, only nice for her, possessive & tatted 😏. The FMC is a bad ass & in this book she discovers self worth, confidence & learns that it’s okay to depend on others than just herself. There are side characters that u just wanna yeet into the void so they go away!
If you are looking for a Romantasy with morally grey MMC, a bad ass FMC, 🌶️, adventure, fated mates etc. give this series a try!!
The second installment in the Verihdian Wardens series was exactly what I wanted in a sequel. Full of plot, romance, action, and so much world building! I love this world and getting to visit the other Courts was so fun!
Lexa and Lysander begin their journey to the other Courts and their relationship was just perfect. But I wasn’t expecting to get chapters from Axel and Chandler which was interesting and surprising. I really honestly didn’t even think about Chandler after they left the Institute but seeing how his character played out makes me hunger for a Lexa Chandler conflict! And Axel coming into his own away from his twin was a great plot line. I look forward to seeing more of him!
Nikki did such a good job and I cannot wait to see the other courts! And I really don’t want to give spoilers, but the ending? I wasn’t expecting it. Not at all. Which to me is good writing because I’ve read enough I thought I knew which way it was going to go. Surprise!
I have been ANXIOUSLY awaiting the arrival of this book ever since I devoured the first in the series, and it did not disappoint. If the first book gave us a taste of spice, mystery, and intrigue, this one became a buffet. The characters become more developed, the plot lines thicken and take turns you don't expect, and the new characters introduced (along with the ones who were mentioned previously but hadn't gotten to tell their story yet) all serve to make Verihdia one of the most interesting and fantastical places in fantasy literature. I read it all in one sitting, too obsessed to put it down and then immediately went back and reread it the next day because just like with all great works, there are subtleties and nuances that are so intricately woven you can read it multiple times and realize/discover new things each time. The cliffhanger ending serves as an absolute nail biter that has me pacing and anxious for the next in the series. Fantastically done!
The ending of this book I called in book one, but it still makes me crazy and I need book three asap!!! This was so good and I’m obsessed that we got to see more world building and Axel’s pov! But chandler’s povs were positively dreadful and honestly so hard for me to get through. Like I understand it was done that way for a reason but damn it was cringe. Soooo happy we got more romance, and I think it was written so well! Lysander is daddy and them being confirmed mates makes my heart happy! Actually enjoyed Lexa finally training physically to be able to defend herself a little, even though it didn’t help in the end lol. Overall I think this was an awesome sequel and I truly don’t want to have to wait for the third😫

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 I really like the writing, the world, and the characters. This book is clearly setting up for whatever is coming in book 3, but it’s lacking in plot. Not a whole lot happens. Like little things happen… but I felt like I was waiting for something big to happen for the whole book and then it doesn’t happen until like the last line.
Where is Axel’s storyline going?? I do enjoy a forbidden romance tho.
Chandler is an interesting character and I feel like he’s going to wreak havoc in book 3.
“Call for the gods all you want, but they can’t make you scream the way I can.” 😆😆😆😆😆
***spoiler*** Why did she cry incessantly for like 5 pages after finding out Lysander is her mate???
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Once again I was blown away by this incredible piece of work by Nikki Robb! I forced myself to read it a a slower pace than normal just so I could enjoy being in the world of Verihdia a little while longer. The twist and turns and the beautiful storyline completely captured my attention from the very beginning. The way Nikki has a way to bring her stories to life with her details and character personalities is incredible. You absolutely have to start reading her books!
Now I’m ready for book 3 because that cliffhanger ughh I need more!
This book… this was a great addition to the series. It continues to build on the information from book one, while still leaving me go want more. There was mystery, suspense, spice, and an end I did not see coming! I can not wait for book three! Update: I wrote all that at 2am this morning. Now it is 130 pm and I can write more. Nikki Robb has some amazing books out already and this is no exception. The FMC is strong and resilient. The MMC is all the things I want from a man (in a book of course). Book 1 was amazing but this? It made me want more!
One of the best books I’ve read all year. I am dying for the 3rd book. This series is becoming one of my all time favorites. I don’t understand how this series isn’t more well known.
I read the first two books on my kindle and think I need to the physical copies for my bookshelf because I love them so much.
This series reminds me like Divergent except the adult version with magic and courts instead of factions. It’s spicy and inclusive.
I LOVE this series. The world building is fantastic, the heat between Lexa and Lysander is gripping. The plot is awesome.
I really like how Lexa is a morally good person who makes mistakes and how her journey through the courts allows her to explore those particular parts of herself.
And of course love a morally grey MMC who is thoroughly obsessed with her.
I truly cannot wait for the next installment, I need her to stay angry though. I love angry Lexa.
Oh mine... I can't... Just so so good and now i really need the next one...
I loved that we got to discover so much more about each Court, and the Wardens and loved so so much to have Axel POV I wanted that so much and omg i love each one of his chapters so much. And ohhh i knew it, it's such a good close and it finally confirms what I been thinking since the beginning... So good, so well played. When I say this book is a page turned i mean it, if the first set the bar, this one rased it and I felt I couldn't stop and didn't want to stop reading it.
Mark of Mythica is my first fantasy read that truly told a powerful story. Lexa reminded me of a warrior princess! There's so much to unpack in this book and I'm willing to read more of Lexa's journey.
Mark of Mythica keeps the tale of Lexa soaring into amazing new heights! Lexa and Lysander’s journey sets off in dramatic fashion. Nikki does a masterful job of winding up the tension while adding two new POVs that offer amazing new perspectives to the world!
