“I have dents, bruises, scars, and cracks so deep that it’s a wonder I’m not in a million pieces…”

Sometimes things aren't always what they seem. Sometimes pain lies underneath, buried so deep that for a moment you let yourself forget – until you can’t.

I didn't realize how numb I was until I started feeling again, and he made me feel – everything. Cooper Hudson came into my life when I needed him the most – twice.

This is my story. This is the story of us.

“It was funny how you never really realized how lifeless you were until someone came along and gave you that shock to the chest that forced your heart to start beating again.”

Note: This is a true love story. It is a story about overcoming tragedy and circumstance. It's about learning to heal through the heartache when you would rather hide from it. Lily and Cooper meet, and nothing is ever the same.

5 YOU ARE PERFECT STARS

I want a Cooper right now!

I FREAKING ADORED this book!

Lily was an amazingly strong broken woman who had a raw deal in life with her mother dying of cancer at 3 and then losing her dad in a head on collision.

I will not spoil this book for anyone but if I could pick a guy from a book to bring to life...Cooper would be it!
He sings, he is romantic,he has a sense of humor, he is hot, and he has money! What more can I say?
He said so many amazing things to Lily during the book that my breath caught!
I was sighing so much my daughters and my sons thought I was having difficulty breathing. They kept asking me "Are you alright mom?"

This was just about the most perfect book I have ever read!
So glad for the recommendation from the GR reviewers.
If you have not read this book and you are a softy like me...what are waiting for!?

This book was worth the money and the time.

It's a special keeper book!

"Simply the best." And you can totally quote me on that.

♫Then I'll see your face, I know I'm finally yours.
I find everything I thought I lost before .. You call my name, I come to you in pieces .. So you can make me whole.♫

#5 Meant to be stars# <3

The book opens with Lily on her way home after her father died. She is heartbroken, She was very close to to her father and his death hit her hard. She left her job and her life in Colorado and returned back to her childhood home. On the plane she met an older lady who comforted her and offered her a ride home with her and her Grandson, it turns out they live close to each other.

When Lily and Cooper met for the first time you could only say that the sparks flew through the air .. This was a turning point In their life, and from this moment on they both will never be the same <3

Her father Funeral was heartbreaking, Fortunately for her she had the support of Maggie & Ms. Sophie .. They really held her together.

When Cupid decided to shoot an arrow and bring them together, They build a friendship .. They spend a lot of time Getting to know each other better .. they really feel comfortable with each other as if they knew each other for years .. They have this unexplainable connection ..

Cooper was so good for her! He really supported her, he wants more than friendship but he's not pressing, he knows she's still grieving and she needs time to sort out her feelings and he is going to wait for her how long it will takes.

"Is it all right if i tell you how beautiful you are? Beacuse you are. Do you even realize it?"

Do you believe in fate, Lily?

They were so cute together! I loved the banter, the Playfulness and the comfortable feeling between them :D

"I don't see any reason why we can't sit here and have lunch. Seems like the obvious answer is to say yes, Lily."
"Okay, yes."
"Yes, what?"
"Huh?"
"Say it."
"Say what?"
"Say you would like to have lunch with me."
"I thought i just did."
"I want you to say you would like to have lunch with me."
Fine. "Yes, I would like to have lunch with you."
"Thank you. Was that so hard?"
"Yes, actually it was," I said, although i couldn't resist smiling at him. Freak.

Cooper .. *Sigh* This guy could be any more perfect? I swoon so many times through the book!! He is all we are looking for in a Book-Boyfriend .. He's romantic, patient, supportive, caring, loving, Loyal .. He has a heart of gold and he put Lily the top of his priorities .. He really was her guardian angel. And the fact that he's a musician in a band Does not hurt ;)

I LOVED the fact that Lily could sing and play the guitar too!! The moments they played together, sang to each other songs And wrote poems secretly were my favorite moments in the book :D

My favorite part of the book was the fact that music plays a big part in the book ! The author chose amazing songs, some I knew, some not (and added to my playlist) and I could feel the emotions and connect the music to the characters .. I love it when the authors combine writing with music and I think Pamela managed to get me feel the emotions through the music .. it is not easy, but she Nail it :D

Although they were friends, there was always tension between them, I was counting the minutes when the lines starts to blur <3

"I want our first kiss to be perfect. I need it to be perfect. For you. You deserve a perfect kiss. Let me give that to you. It should be spontaneous and maybe a little unexpected. You should also be kissed purposely so you know that I'm not kissing you on a whim. When I said I wanted to be friends, I meant that I wanted us to be more than two people who are attracted to each other. I want to know your soul and I want you to know mine."

Ans when the kiss finally happened .. *Sigh *it was so sweet <3

"Lily, why are you running from me?" he whispered.
"I'm not," I managed to whisper back.
Still keeping his lips close enough to mine that his breath was now mixing with my own, he said, "Then why am I chasing you?"
I say nothing. I can't.
He moved ever so slightly to whisper in my ear, "I caught you."

"He had shattered me with his touch, and was piecing me back together with his kiss ... He dropped his head to my forehead and exhaled. "Your heart is beating so fast," I said, hugging him tightly. "I know. It started beating again when i saw you that day at the airport."

Then .. The first revelation happened. I certainly did not see it coming. It definitely strengthened the intensity of Cooper feelings for Lily. I Really liked this twist <3

"It was funny how you never really realize how lifeless you were untill someone came along and gave you that shock to the chest that forced your heart to start beating again."

When the past returns and there is nowhere to run, the only thing you can do is deal. Lilly had to deal with some new revelations from the past and come to terms with something that had happened to her before.

The road was not easy, It was very hard mentally, but Cooper was with her every step of the way.

There were parts that were so romantic in the book!

The elevator scene *Sigh* I had goose bumps <3

♫I can be your hero baby,
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever,
You can take my breath away.♫

I really Loved all the Supporting characters .. They were great! I especially loved Joe .. He certainly Put humor into a book :D

"What's black, white, black, white, black, white?"
I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "What?"
"A penguin rolling down a hill. What's back and white and laughing?"
I shrugged. "I don't know," I said, making a sad attempt not to laugh.
"The penguin who pushed him."

LOLOLOLOL this Joke made me laugh so HARD!

I can keep going on and on about the book but I think you all should read it! Eventually, this book was exactly what I was looking for in enjoyable reading, I'm surprised that it's the author Debut novel, the writing is stunning and she certainly have a talent .. I'm sure she'll get far :D

Love transcends all obstacles in her path
Insisting she finds her way
Leaving her troubles behind
Yearning to be loved someday

"Sometimes people drift into our lives like a feather blowing in the wind, landing right in our laps. There's really not a clear explanation for it other than maybe fate; at least that's what my daddy used to say."

If I could only use one word to describe this book it would unquestionably be Romantic.

It brought me back to classic romance which seems to have been replaced with erotica and alphas. This book is one of those, "I didn't know this is what I needed" books. I went into this book not knowing a whole lot about it other than it had a beautiful cover, and it seemed a little angsty. The synopsis is a little uninformative so now I'm kind of wondering what made me try it out. All I know is, I am so glad that I did. This book has exactly the style of writing that I like. It's very expressive and at times poetic. In fact, there are even a couple of lovely poems in it as well and I have to say, I'm a sucker for a beautiful poem. Always have been. I guess that's why I love music so much...songs are poems written to music. Which brings me to another point. This book has it's own unofficial playlist and music plays a big part in the story as well! I love that in books!

The book starts out with Lilly returning to her hometown to bury her father. She is completely heartbroken over her loss. She and her father had a special bond-he raised her as a single father and they never had anyone else. Now she's set adrift in grief and doesn't know which direction to turn in her life.

"Right now, I feel like I have the entire world on my chest."

When she meets a sweet lady on the plane who comforts her and offers her a ride home, she agrees. But when she comes face-to-face with her grandson Cooper, she doesn't know that both of their lives are about to change forever. Fate is about to intervene and bring them together. Lilly and Cooper get to know each other gradually and gently. He's patiently waiting for the right time to start anything with her. He knows she's grieving and he's just there to support her and give her what she needs for the moment. But their attraction and strange connection keeps blooming by the minute and Lilly starts to want things to progress past friendship. Does he want that too?

"I had never met anyone like him. Never. I know I was looking at him. I could feel myself looking at him. I think I was trying to figure him out or something. Was this guy real? I think I kept waiting for his flaws to be revealed to me like a neon sign, and kept expecting the warning signs to flash, but there was nothing.

And boy, is she right. This guy is...wow. He's spectacularly romantic and loving. So different from what the Heros I've been reading lately and maybe that's why I fell so hard. He was sweet, caring and encouraging when she needed support. He was always wanting to make every moment together special for her. Total and complete gentleman. *swoons*

A couple of my favorites...

"Do you feel that?" he asked me, looking directly in my eyes and daring me to look away.
"Yes," I whispered.
"This is what you do to me. Every time you walk in a room. Any room. You make my heart race, which makes my pulse surge, and you make me forget how to breathe.(...) Your hair is wet, and you're not wearing makeup and yet this is the most beautiful I've ever seen you, and I didn't think you could be more beautiful than yesterday."

Lilly and Cooper have a special relationship and it is just so pure and endearing. One thing I loved that they shared together was that they both had a love for music. Cooper plays in a band one night a week in town and is somewhat of a local celebrity. Lilly also loves to sing and play guitar. She was taught by her dad when she was little, but she's never played for anyone but him. She's very shy and unsure of her talent. When Cooper hears her sing, he's amazed and decided to bring her out of her shell and get her to sing on stage with him. It takes a lot of convincing, but eventually he succeeds and it helps build her confidence and self-assurance. One of my favorite scenes in the book is when they sing and play a song on the guitar for each other. They speak to each other through their songs and it was so touching. The lyrics were perfect.

Singing on stage starts a chain reaction though that will bring back a horrible event that happened in her past. Just when she's healing from her father's death, she starts to have nightmares and anxiety about what happened to her. She doesn't know it, but this event ties her to Cooper in a way that will shock her.

I really enjoyed this book! It was so refreshing and inspiring. The hero treated her like a princess. Like she was beautiful rather than hot. Like she was special rather than just a selfish physical attraction. It was a clean, super sweet read when you're in the mood for something that will renew your faith in true romance.

3 - Charming, Happily Ever After Stars.

There is one thing I need to firstly say about Stolen Breaths and that is pay particular attention to the synopsis. I didn’t and at 40% in got the shock of my life.

I am not giving Stolen Breaths 3 stars because I didn’t enjoy it, on the contrary it was a wonderful refreshing change to read a book that focused on the nurturing and development of a relationship between two young people that are both grieving, but who are also irrevocably connected by their pasts. They don’t immediately jump into bed with each other, but instead choose to deal with their issues together before taking that final step towards complete intimacy.

"I want our first kiss to be perfect. I need it to be perfect. For you. You deserve a perfect kiss."

Lily Grayson returns home after the tragic loss of her father in a car crash, whilst on the plane she meets the wonderful Miss Sophie, who takes her under her wing and insists on giving her a list home, and supporting her through the funeral and arrangements for it. Miss

Sophie’s grandson Cooper is the driver of the proffered lift, and this is where their story begins….or so I thought.

He breathed life into my spirit and it awakened me down deep.

There are many positives to list for Pamela Sparkman’s debut novel. The development of the story, the characters and the culmination of everything are really well executed, as well including some well thought out and totally unexpected plot twists.

I loved Cooper, Lily and their circle of friends. Maggie, Joe and Hayden in particular. The corny jokes from Joe, the straight talking from Maggie, and the general protectiveness of them all for this couple. There is a lot of angst, and an awful lot of crying in the book, but I suppose that is in some part to be expected when you take into account the subject matter therein.

The playlist for this book is also exemplary, with the likes of –

• Ed Sheeran – Lego House
• Eminem & Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie
• Adele – Make You Feel My Love
• Alison Krauss – When You Say Nothing At All
• Lady Antebellum – Just A Kiss

being included in its pages, the poetry that runs through the book is also beautiful, poignant and very well written.

I really liked Cooper, he isn’t afraid to show his feelings for Lily, and is prepared to go to great lengths to ensure her future happiness.

"I would rather walk through Hell with you every day, than spend one day in Heaven without you."

The writing itself shows on the whole a what massive talent Pamela Sparkman has, and I think with a little expert direction/editing, her future books will undoubtedly be 5 stars for sure.

My one peeve, the overuse of “My Daddy”, this never changed throughout the book, Daddy, him or he would have been fine, and would have alleviated the repetition a little.

I want to thank Pamela for providing me with a copy of Stolen Breaths; and it is my pleasure to provide the above honest review.

The cover caught my eye and the book blurb sold it. A stunning debut by Pamela Sparkman in a story of pain, agony, loss and recovery wrapped in love. There's plenty of emotion and turmoil - passionately presented while the heat and sexual relationship remains behind closed doors. The female lead is a virgin who has suffered greatly in her life both physically and with the loss of loved ones. Our hero is simply irresistible and his kindness radiates off the pages. He's the real deal and protects those he loves. A great cast of secondary characters lend their support in making this one even better. I loved Grammy Sophie and the gang of friends who support each other so lovingly and unselfishly when needed.

A truly beautiful love story that is well-written and realistically portrayed. Readers will find the connection between the characters quite surprising and endearing. With the addition of the musical element supplied within the story lies an even sweeter and more meaningful level to this relationship as well.

One of the best lines in the book that has no cliffhanger but a beautiful epilogue summing it all up nicely, "Here's to love, laughter and happily-ever-after."

this was a cute, light and easy read. i would say it's one of those swoony type romance books. it's a very heartwarming story. there's no steamy scenes at all but sometimes that's exactly what you need. it has some nice twists within and the development of the relationship between our couple felt very genuine. the group of friends introduced as side characters were interesting and intriguing and i am looking forward to reading on for their stories.

this book also has some absolutely beautiful poetry throughout. it's about healing and second chances and once i finished this book i was left feeling optimistic and happy. can't ask for more.

I read this book a couple of years ago and remember enjoying. And since there are two more books in this series I thought I would reread it to refresh my memory. Sadly I didn't like it as much. The relationship progressed way too fast for me and I actually started thinking that it was kind of on the creepy side.

I guess my taste in books have really changed over the last couple of year and it just isn't for me. I don't think I will be moving on with this series.

Content-
Language: Moderate. It wasn't in there that often but there are two scenes where the F-bomb is dropped.
Violence: Moderate.

I’m a strange breed when it comes to reading. I can’t entirely say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have a preference. I will devour anything because you never know where you’re going to find the diamond in a sea full of other gems.

Stolen Breaths right from the very first page set itself apart from every other novel I’ve had the pleasure of reading since I mastered the art of it at four years old. Not only did it stand out, but it brought to the surface something that over the last 15 years or so I’d forgotten about.

I am a sucker for a sweet clean romance. The one that is so magical, you feel as though you’re experiencing a real life fairy tale as you read. The idea of love, it inspires me, it moves me and it’s a very large part of my day to day existence, as a writer, a mother and a human being overall. This story for me is what all romances should aspire to be.

It was at times heart wrenching, troubling, sad, over the moon happy, blissful even, but more than all of those words, it was real. The experiences that these characters face could have easily happened to you or me, or your next door neighbour, that’s how real they came across as I eagerly scanned through every page, soaking up the words on the pages.

This is the way I see romance in my head. I’m a fan of all genres of romance, but there was something about this book, the fact that there was intimacy without the focus being shined on the actual art of lovemaking itself that endeared itself even more to me. As I said above, I truly believe this is what all romances should aspire to be.

I know for damn sure it’s how I imagine romance to be.

Take a chance on this book, on this author. I promise you… you will not be disappointed. I have been forever changed by the story woven in these pages and I will carry this story with me for years to come.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed this book. I had thought it was going to be a typical YA novel but was pleasantly surprised. Apparently this book belongs to that "New" genre called New Adult (or something of that sort) . The. two main characters are both twenty somethings. There was a very interesting back story too and I have to admit that while the story was very romantic the two characters didn't immediately fall into bed together for the oh too common sex scene that so many books of this romantic type genre seem to immediately have. It was nice to actually see the relationship develop with lots of kissing and desire but without clothes ripping and bed hopping.

I also have to admit that I love the cover on this. Lovely!

Stolen Breaths Review
Pamela Sparkman Five Stars! Loved it!

STOLEN BREATHS by Pamela Sparkman is categorized as a love story but it’s so much more. This book is about survival and about healing. It’s about overcoming obstacles, and believing in hope. It leaves the reader, with an optimistic view on life, making one believe that perhaps bad situations can actually turn themselves around. This book is definitely worth the read.

When I started ‘Stolen Breaths’, I expected a romance, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that what I was reading was much deeper. The characters were well developed the story realistic and filled with surprises. My curiosity piqued when I realized there was something a little ‘off’ about each of these individuals. When I say ‘off’, I don’t mean in the Alfred Hitchcock way, I mean, there was a depth to these people, but something essential was missing. There was a piece to the puzzle that I didn’t have and that made me want to keep reading. I wanted to find out what that missing ‘something’ was. In fact, that’s what kept me glued to the book.

I imagined a full spectrum of ideas on why these individuals seemed connected, yet didn’t really know each other. I thought they both had past relationship problems, I thought their parents must have known each other since they came from the same town. I had a lot of ideas, but when I hit the twist, when I knew the truth, well it was mind blowing. Talk about unpredictable, out of all my imagined scenarios, this wasn’t one of them.

After hitting the unexpected, I put the book down, not because I didn’t want to keep reading, I did. I had to stop, I had to rationalize everything I’d read so I could understand how all the pieces and all the characters fit together.

I love having to do that. It shows how well the author built their story. When I hit a twist and have to stop and think about the book before finishing. WOW, to me that’s a great writer.
I loved the build up of the characters, the build up of the mystery, the unexpected twist and the way it all came together so beautifully at the end.

STOLEN BREATHS is about taking bad things in one’s life and turning them right. It’s about fate, and how some things are just supposed to happen. It’s about second chances and all the good things in life that we want to believe really happen. It was a wonderful read which left me feeling optimistic about life.
Pamela Sparkman has a new book, a sequel, SHATTERED, coming out soon. I can’t wait to read it and write another review.

4 Stars!

This story is one that will grow on you. In the beginning, I was having a hard time getting in to it because I felt it was a little slow and I needed more. However, after I started to get mid way, it picked up for me. I loved Cooper. He seriously was the sweetest guy. He was so caring when it came to Lily. From the moment he first met her, he was there protecting her until the very end. The love he had for her was really sweet and kind. There were so many parts that he would say or do things that would make my heart melt. I loved what he told her when they hung out for the first time...

"Well, Lily, we are going to sit on the hood of my car and just....be. We can talk if you want to talk, or we can sit in total silence if you want to be silent. We can sing along to our favorite songs on the radio. We can tell knock-knock jokes. We can throw rocks to see how far we can throw them. We can do whatever you want to do. I don't care. I just want to know you."

He truly is a gentlemen when it comes to Lily. You can really feel the love that he had for her throughout their story. One of my favorite parts was when they were in the elevator and held her while swaying to the music and singing to her softly...

"I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away."

I fell head over heals in love with Copper in that exact moment. No matter who was around, he never held back his love for Lily.

Lily is alive, but not living. Throughout the story, she is dealing with the pain of her past as well as the pain of loosing her father. It's like everything in her life has been black and white. When she meets Cooper, that all changes. Little by little, Cooper brings her out of her darkness and into a life full of color. I loved their relationship, and I was hoping to get a little more of their life together towards the end of the book. So when I read the epilogue, I was a little sad to miss out on their journey. So...I'm hoping that we will get more of Cooper and Lily in book 2, Shattered, while we get to meet Joe up close and personal!

STORY: 3 stars
PERFORMANCE: 4 stars
OVERALL: 3.5 stars

*** I received a free Audible audiobook in exchange for providing an honest review. ***

STORY:
STOLEN BREATHS is a rated G new adult romance. It's sugary-sweet with characters who never have an argument and a female main character in her 20s who still calls her father her, "daddy". When I realized this was not a tale of insta-love but that there was a darker history between the main characters, I became hopeful yet the author didn't flesh that part of the story out. It was disappointing that this this portion of the storyline was not expanded on as it would've made for a more unique, exciting storyline IMO.

On occasion I wondered if I had missed a part, rewinding the audiobook only to learn that I hadn't missed anything but the author had jumped ahead. For example, we don't get any details about is important wedding ceremony, just what happens before and after. Otherwise, this book is well edited and well written.

PERFORMANCE:
I listened to the Audible audiobook version narrated by Corrie Legge. Ms Legge's performance was refreshing and idiosyncratic, her voice was different from any other narrator I've heard. I say this because Legge has an extremely youthful, genuine voice which was ideal for portraying the female mc who still referred to her father as her, "daddy". I was pleasantly surprised when Ms. Legge used a slightly more mature voice while reading as the grandmother character then disappointed when there was no discernible difference in her voice while she spoke for the male characters. Although her performance was not that of an obviously seasoned actress, it was still high-quality and I would definitely listen to more of her audiobooks in the future!

Cooper and Lily are brought together by Ms. Sophie, Cooper's Grandma. These two characters blossom into a beautiful love that is tested and true.
Cooper is keeping a secret, Lily has no memory of this secret, but the love Cooper has for Lily only strengthens. Lily has a memory flash one night and with Cooper's strength and love, Lily comes face to face with the memory that changed both, her and Cooper's lives.
Cooper has loved Lily longer than she realizes, and when the memory reveals itself, Lily and Cooper must overcome the emotional debris that it has left in it's wake. Cooper is a patient man and makes sure Lily is secure with him and their relationship before they are physically intimate. Will Lily be able to get past the horrific tragedy with Cooper's help, or will she put up her walls again, so as not to feel the pain?
There isn't a need for any description of hot, steamy love scenes in this read. The love that is written on these pages is enough for anyone to just melt. These characters are strong when they need to be and get all the support they need from family and friends when they aren't as strong as they want to be.

This book took my breath away. This book is beautifully written, thoughtful, lyrical, poetic and just amazing! It’s hard to believe that it is the debut novel by this author. She writes like a seasoned author.
I read this book in less than a day. I was completely entranced by it and could not put it down. I fell in love with the characters and the story right from the very beginning. Sometimes you’re just lucky enough to find that special book that just makes you feel and fills your heart with every little emotion.
This book is very heartwarming and romantic, but it also deals with the pain of loss and overcoming tragedy. It had me smiling, swooning, crying and believing in fate. I am anxious to read more books by this talented author!

I bought stolen breaths months ago when it was first realised. I kept putting off reading it. I had heard so much good that I wanted to read it when I was in a book slump. In a way I'm glad I waited cos I've been in a pretty bad slump bug in another way I'm regretting waiting.
What can I say about this book. Copper was amazing from start to finish he is definitely going into my top book boyfriend list.
I just loved this book. From start to finish it had me hooked. It kept me guessing and it was packed full of emotion. From suspense to heartbreak to the most amazing love story. It's a definite must read .
This author is definitely one I will be one clicking again and again.

3 (3.5?) STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Let me start by saying that although I only rated this book 3 stars (a very solid 3 stars), I really did enjoy many aspects of this book. It was a very nice change of pace from a lot of the romance books out there. That being said it fell flat in a few areas for me but I can definitely see her future books being more of the four and five star caliber.

TRACY'S REVIEW:

Sometimes things aren't always what they seem. Sometimes pain lies underneath, buried so deep that for a moment you let yourself forget – until you can’t.

I didn't realize how numb I was until I started feeling again, and he made me feel – everything. Cooper Hudson came into my life when I needed him the most – twice.

What would you do if someone saved your life? What would you do if you never knew who that person was? What would you do, if in the blink of an eye, your life was changed and you needed to become so much stronger than you ever thought you could be?
Do you believe in fate? Do believe that there is some force outside of us that puts 2 people in the right place at the right time so their paths cross? Well if you didn’t, you will after you read Cooper and Lily’s story. You will have no choice but to fall in love with Lily and Cooper (and Ms. Sophie too!)
“The story of him, the story of me, the story of us. It is our story, the one we get to tell people when they ask how we met or when we fell in love. It is a story of sadness and heartbreak; of losing yourself in the shadows but finding yourself in the light. It is a story of losing what you wish you had never lost, but accepting that you did and allowing yourself to feel it. Even the parts you want to forget, because the pain is something you have to go through in order to get to the other side. There are no secret doors, hidden passages, or trick walls. All you can do is burst through the middle and keep going. You’ll come out with some bruises and maybe even a few scars, but it’s the bruises and the scars that lets you know that you not only survived, but that you actually lived.”

This book can be so easily compared with, A Walk To Remember, with the twist of an happy ending!
Lily - she's got the emotions of a teenager girl.
Cooper - he's loving, caring, has a good sense of humour, and rally has a great deal of patience - ahhh, the perfect beta.
Epilogue with the cute daughter was really sweet.
It was overall, a day-to-day life romance; not narrated in third person.

****ARC REVIEW FROM ABIBLIOPHOBIA ANONYMOUS BOOK REVIEWS BLOG****

* Review of Stolen Breaths by Pamela Sparkman *

During our life certain people walk into it and at the time we don't
know why. Have you ever heard the saying "It was meant to be" well for
Lily and Cooper, that saying couldn't be truer.

Lily is on her way
back to her hometown to lay her father to rest, who was taken suddenly out of
her life. While on the plane, the sweet old lady next to her offers her
words and a ride home. Lily couldn't know by accepting the ride from
Sophie and her grandson Cooper it would set everything in motion.

Who
would have known that saying yes would change everything, that so much
would come out of it. Not only did she get friendship from Sophie, but
also Cooper.

"Cooper Hubson, in all my life I'll never be able to thank God enough for you. You have taken the pieces of me that
were broken and began fixing them one by one, and you did it with just your smile."- Lily

Cooper
will help Lily with her grieving and help her heal old wounds, wounds
she didn't know still existed. With a few simple  words from a
stranger, Lily's life will get turned upside down.

With everything
going on in Lily's life, Cooper couldn't come in it at a better time.
Friendship is what she needs, and maybe they could have more...

"You have no idea what you do to me, Lily. You completely undo me."- Cooper

Cooper
has kept a secret from Lily since he met her. He knew her as soon as he
seen her. She's been engraved on his mind and in his heart for years.
Five years ago those two were brought together, now years later they are
back in each others life.

Lily will get answers to questions she didn't know she had and few twist and turns on the way.

Everything happens for a reason, the good and the bad. For Lil, that couldn't be any truer.

"I love you. Like, love you so much it hurts to breathe kind of love."- Lily

Stolen
Breaths is a story about second chances, fate and everything in between.
This story will take you on a ride and have you saying "OMG" Lily is
one of those characters that you just love. Cooper is the sweetest I've
ever read. If only everyone could have a Cooper in their life. This
story will have you thinking and will maybe have you tear up a few
times. I loved seeing Lily come a full circle. There isn't nothing
better! This book is seriously amazing! We are not forced sex, and I
really loved that fact. It wasn't about that, it was about something so
much deeper. Sometimes fate has a way of stepping in. I give this book 4
1/2 stars
