BUILDING A CIVILIZATION FROM THE GROUND UP ISN'T AN EASY TASK ESPECIALLY IN A PREHISTORIC TIME

☆☆☆☆☆
Building A Future: Castaway Book 2 by Vlad ben Avorham is an interesting story of an archeologist who while on a newly discovered prehistoric city after a recent earthquake off the coast of Kuwait. While exploring this new archeological wonder, Dag is suddenly swept away from the present to a world and time where mankind are hunter-gatherers and basically nomadic.

In this second book in this series, Dag continues to grow his community into what is considered a work of magic and a marvel to the primitive clans. Dag has his work cut out for him. Building a city with outposts to help in providing needed materials, shipping stations, and early warning systems is not an easy task when the members of your newly formed society are used to finding their daily food and resting until their next hunt with no thought or concern for their next meal until hunger sets in.

With the knowledge of present day societies, Dag is determined to build a lasting community that is hard working, educated, free, and capable to succeed comfortably with new technologies Dag has introduced from the future which is well beyond the reach of his people let alone something they would have even thought of and once Dag introduced modern wonders to his people's lives the comforts are enjoyed by all.

These first two books in this series are well written, the main characters are well developed, and will keep your interest throughout to see how they grow from a nomadic hunter-gatherer clans to an agricultural, livestock, mining, and trading society.

I enjoyed reading this book as well as the first book in this series and I am looking forward to starting the third and final book shortly. I hope you will also enjoy reading this book.

I enjoyed the first book of this series much more. There was a much more personal interaction rather than a description of actions taken to accumulate material accomplishments. I like the idea of the time traveling main character but this book ends rather abruptly. And, the grammatical errors abound and drove me to a distraction so deep I started skimming through the last half. A proofreader is desperately needed.
