5 Fiendishly Dark & Twisted Horror-Filled Stars!

Poor Brenna. She's a virgin with virtues. She thought her boyfriend of 4 months had accepted her for who she is and for her moral standards, but he soon dumps her on the night she has decided to give him her precious virginity. But, as luck would have it, a handsome, wealthy man by the name of Sterling Bronson is within earshot, and he is definitely intrigued. He offers to give her a ride home and, shockingly, she declines. Suddenly he's showing up at her work with a generous donation and is everywhere she turns, propositioning her to go out with him. Alarm bells are going off in her head (not to mention she's in a fragile state and in no place to start dating again), but eventually she gives in and Sterling begins to woo her, treating her like she's a goddess and a rare commodity. Little does she know she is nothing more than a challenge for this sadistic sociopath who has devious things in mind for her. But first, she must come willingly. That is his number one rule.

It's just too bad Brenna hadn't trusted her initial gut instincts about the guy before falling head over heels in love with this clever monster in disguise. There was something off about him and she knew it----yet eventually her vulnerable heart got swept up in his charismatic charms and, before long, he had her in his evil clutches, and the rest is downright horrifying. It is not for the faint hearted, that's for sure. And that ending.... It was both brilliant, leaving it open for a possible second book, yet infuriating at the same time.

Not sure I'd ever read this again because certain parts were definitely tough to get through, but it was a great, if not squeamish, book. I recommend it to fans of dark nail-biting reads that will leave you hiding behind your hands and yelling at your tablet device.

There are no redeeming qualities here. It is just pure, twisted horror at its finest (or worst). Proceed with caution.

I don't usually read horror or psychological thrillers or about sociopaths. I wasn't surprised by the in your face intensity of the book, I'd been warned ahead of time. It was well written and made my skin crawl. Who doesn't know, or hasn't met that one person that made them think: There's something not right about that person? I have. And it turned out, my character assessment was right on. People, we have been given intuition for a reason. USE IT. If someone appears charming on the outside and too good to be true, but part of your psyche is screaming at you to stay away. I'd listen to my inner voice, if I were you! Good book, good ending that leaves you wondering what happened to Sterling. Really. I've got it from a pretty reliable source that more is in the works. Stay tuned folks, but read this one first!

Best horror novel I have read in years! I read the entire e-book in one sitting. It's one of the few books that made me talk to the characters. In the beginning I kept telling Brenna to run away but, she didn't listen. Lol!!! I highly recommend this book if you enjoy reading horror novels with serial killers and why you should trust your instinct. I hope these authors write more books together. Maybe a sequel for this one :-)

Review:
Sterling Bronson is a man used to having absolute control. He selects his women with care and when he has what he wants from them, they end up in his gallery. A serial killer, he is ruthless and takes what he wants from his victims, brutally and without remorse. His co-pilot, The Fiend is an ever present venomous voice, spurring him to do vile things to the women he “dates”. He is a rapist, pure and simple. He violates his victims in unspeakable ways and then kills them.
Brenna is the oldest virgin she knows. Waiting for the right guy to say I do, it costs her another boyfriend and she is hurting. So much for integrity, right? So when Sterling Bronson spots her during the breakup and labels her his next victim, she finds herself slowly falling for his sincere advances. It will be a mistake she may not live to regret.
This book is a rollercoaster of events and experiences. Most of them are not in the safe, sane and consensual realm. It is pure erotic horror at its best and I could not put it down. Sterling is indeed a beautiful monster and he uses the outer beauty of a successful businessman to mask the conflicted evil that lies within. When his diabolical nature and the sheer persistence of Brenna’s personality collide, you have a story that will keep you up nights until you read the last line. Heck, I am still thinking about it now, hoping that there will be another book. There were a few editing things here and there, but in no way did they detract from the story.
At first when you read Sterling’s view of the world you think, wow. What a complete ***hole. The more you read, the more you understand just how depraved he is and where it stems from. This book is a look at the underbelly of what can happen when you go home with strangers without a safety net. There are several trigger points that if you have in any way been a victim of sexual violence will bring up some feelings. It pushes the boundaries of what some erotic publishers will not publish, but does it with an elegance that is compelling, even as you recoil in horror.
Brenna is a character you can’t help but root for, both in her quest to find the right man and when she falls for Sterling. She could be any woman. That is her main appeal. She wants to be loved for who she is and when Sterling offers her the things she needs, she blindly follows him home and the book really spirals into action. In fact, forget about sleeping or eating until you find out what happens.
Overall, Beautiful Monster was a masterpiece of erotic horror that is provocative and one of the best serial killer books I have ever read. I hope we see more from Jared Anderson and Mimi Williams. They have crafted a book that evoked strong emotions and I admit to hiding behind my hands a couple of times and yelling into the room. You know…the classic horror movie “Don’t go in there!” thing you scream at the TV? Yep.
Completely kinky and full of erotic horror, Beautiful Monster will be a book you won’t easily forget.

Title - Beautiful Monster

This book was right up my alley ! ! I love serial killer novels and this one did not disappoint ! ! ! Breanna Carlson is soon to be graduating from college and working at a job she loves at Children's Haven as a social worker. She thought she had the perfect job, roommate, boyfriend and just life in general. That was until Trey, her boyfriend decides he needs more than Breanna can offer. Heartbroken and insecure Breanna falls for Sterling Bronson who is the man of her dreams. He sweeps her off her feet, wining and dining her she falls head over heels. . . . until she awakens in basement, naked and chained to a pole. . . . the man of her dreams becomes her worst nightmare. You will fall into the mind of a sexual predator who loves to play the cat and mouse game!

This book will stay with you for a few days ! It showed me that you can never be to careful in trusting anyone! I for sure want to lock my daughters away. This was an awesome psychological thriller.

Not a genre I usually read, but this book was incredibly well written. Just when you think you know what will happen you are pleasantly surprised with a new twist. Some adult content, but not gratuitous in the least. A good, solid story line.I definitely recommend this novel for an exciting read.

Sterling Bronson is hot, rich and also a serial killer. When we first meet him he is trying to trap his latest victim Melanie aka Number Six.

Unfortunately for Brenna she caught his eye when he noticed her getting dumped by her boyfriend and overheard that it had to do with her being a virgin and wanting to wait for marriage. That was the moment she became Number Seven.

Sterling is not a nice guy but I enjoyed getting in his head and seeing how his mind worked. He has had a horrific past but I like how it's not used to garner sympathy for him or justify all the horrible things he does.

Brenna at first seemed boring to me. Boy was I wrong. She is one smart cookie. As the story went on it seemed Sterling was starting to lose his self control, grip on reality and let emotions overcome him. Meanwhile Brenna got stronger and she was able to have her wits about her to manipulate Sterling into trusting her.

Brenna was not an easy target. She really had no interest but I think because other people around her was telling her she was crazy to pass up such a seemingly nice and hot guy she ignored her intuition. Sterling was taken aback by the challenge she gave him but it made him want her more.

He finally does trap her and keeps her chained in his basement but things don't go exactly to plan.

Sterling has a foster brother who is his best friend and he kind of messes up things for Sterling and his intentions with Brenna.

Sterling also has a maid named Lyndie who is older. She comes in every so often to clean but also she is used as a sex toy. Poor Lyndie. She thinks Sterling might have feelings for her when in reality he thinks she's kinda gross but he can be rough with her and she does whatever he tells her to do.

There is violence and noncon. Brenna does not enjoy what he does to her. There are no moments of "my body is betraying me" or she's scared of him and then she sees some muscles getting flexed and she can't help swoon like I have seen in other captive stories.

This was a wild ride I'm glad I went on.

This horror / crime novel was immersive and engaging from the start through to the dramatic end. To say I was hooked is an understatement. I couldn't put it down once started. The characters were extremely well developed, and the pace was perfect. I enjoyed the alternating first person perspectives of the two protagonists-the victim and the predator, which made the characters come to life. The psychology behind it was dark but equally fascinating. There were moments of shock, horror, deep sympathy, and even fleeting moments of humour at the beginning that threw me. It was beautifully written and fluid, and the narration was believable. I haven't put any spoilers in this review, because I believe that people should read it for themselves. It's been a while since a book kept me this engaged. There were some genuine OMG moments, and a few shouting at the Kindle page while reading, which speaks volumes, as far as I'm concerned, about the effectiveness of the prose. If you enjoy reading horror, serial killer, novels, then this is unmissable. Kudos to the writers for this one. It's a keeper.

This is a reread and I'm fairly certain the first go-round I gave it five stars! I'm lucky enough to have an ebook copy that I purchased when it first debuted a few years ago in the Kindle store.
I recall this book shocking my socks off more than a few times. It twisted me up with how unhinged the male lead is and the glimpses inside his mind are still disturbing. Don't judge me but I have a fascination with serial killers, in real life, and in fiction. American Psycho anyone? For me, this book is on that level of messed up, but I prefer it because of the pseudo romance/dating aspect of it.
I can't explain why his book doesn't have more reviews or has so few that it's only available in paperback on Amazon. Thinking about how many amazing reads slip through the cracks of a system that is inundated with tons of content on a daily basis is heartbreaking. This book is worth the price of the paperback IMO. It deserves a place on your bookshelf if you're a fan of darker content, the kind you won't soon forget about. Can twisted and sinister be delightful? It can in my book.
