Nora has survived the dark caves, and emerged with Hunter by her side. But her escape is quickly tainted as she realizes the biggest danger still lies ahead...
She has been transformed, and powers she has never known begin to manifest themselves within her body. As she struggles to gain control, how long will she be able to restrain herself - and her new bloodlust - from taking over?
As she journeys onward, doubts begin to creep into her mind. Doubts about leaving home, about the decisions she's made. But with the Vassiz still behind her, there is no turning back, now.
And she has questions that need to be answered. Just who are the elders, and why have they taken such a keen interest in her? As she starts the unravel the cloak that shrouds their existence, she begins to suspect that she may have stumbled into something much larger than herself... and starts to understand her destiny for the first time.
I loved this series! It was only 99c on Amazon when I pick it up and I loved it! Super quick reads but totally enjoyable. Teenager based books but I lived the storyline:)
Ok ok I found this book bored to freaking tears!!! Nora’s journey with Alexander and Hunter leaving her it was just nothing but boredom that’s why it took me so long to read this book. I won’t lie I did skim through it and I didn’t understand why suddenly her last name was changed like within one chapter. I’m not sure I’m ready for the next book if it was as boring as this. Even the way Nora talks changed once she became a vampire that was weird. I gave this the least amount of stars
I am so glad that Hunter and Madison turned out to not be jerks...man I was about to really not like this. I am very eager to see what happens with everyone!
So, where do I start with this series . I enjoyed it , and got caught up I'm Nora's journey for revenge . However I felt that things were for to complicated. If the writer needed to do a whole chapter on explaining something then maybe it is too complex. I enjoyed the story , loved how it all came together in the end . however you are left wondering a lot of things. What happens to Madison, Alexander, Jacob and the angels. You are left without any knowledge of them or even if they made it out . there were just a lot of questions for me in the end and I didn't like that.
It was better then the first to be honest. That's mainly because of Gray and Alexander for me haha I want a Gray. This book was more interesting to me and the plot and storyline felt less forced as did the characters. The ending was cool and finding out about her destiny and all was kinda cool as well as seeing her come into her own and learning more about her as a vass vampire whatever, but everything still felt unbelievable and things seemed to always happen by 'chance' with no reasoning they just happened to be lucky which was suspending my belief a little too much.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The second installment improves on the first with deeper lore and more emotional tension. Nora’s new powers, and the bloodlust that comes with them, create inner conflict that sharpens her character. Her relationship with Hunter strengthens, while doubts and danger loom large. The Vassiz remain an ominous presence, and the plot begins to build toward something grander. The pacing feels more confident and the stakes more personal.
I was torn about reading this second book, since the first was underdeveloped for my taste. I am glad I have it a chance, the pacing is much better and the story is developing nicely now. Moving to book three with high hopes.
This book kept my attention! Keep pulling me in for more! I can't wait to finish the series! I'm more than excited! Seriously not enough words for how much I love these books!!!
I like the twist ending. I had trepidation after reading the first book. It started to similar to Twilight only the female protagonist is stronger and doesn't let herself be held back by anything.
I am having a hard time with this series, it might be because I am listening to it but nothing makes sense. The author jumps around so much that I am not sure what the heck is going on.
Revelations (The Forsaken Saga, #2) picks up where the first book left off. Nora and Hunter leave the cave in search for answers as to why the Elders believe Nora is the subject of the Prophecy that foretells the end of the Elders rule over the Vassiz. Soon after emgerging from the cave, Nora and Hunter run into Madison and Alexander who are also Vassiz. Because they are also friends with Raphael and trust his judgment, Alexander and Madison wish no harm befall on Nora and Hunter and join the quest for answers. Alexander suggests they begin with an ancient archive many days away from the cave. It is during these travels that the real action and adventure begins, including a few harrowing and life and death situations. It ends with Nora battling a demon and freeing "the Angels" that were imprisoned for thousands of years by the Elders.
I simply loved this story and immediately started listening to Relentless after completing this book - even though I was already at home after my commute from work. Revelations is definitely my favorite book in the Forsaken quartet!
As with the first book in the series, Pam Lorence narrated this Audible edition. She had great intonation and pace, including differing voices for all male and female characters - young and old. Her dramatization was perfect and held urgency in all the right places without becoming shrill. Bravo!
I can not put it words how much i love this series and the writing, the way Sophia Sharp used the words to drag you into the book and give you enough details to develop your own idea ( but wrong most of the time, that is what makes it even a more amazing book the way will change the path of the character without driving the reader crazy). This book (series) deserves more then 5 stars and more people should read it to see how right i am.
Nora 'adventures' continue in this book but not without having her heart step on again and again , and finding support from where she never even thought to sick for it. However in this book Nora has to learn so many things because she has been literally reborn in a new and stronger self that gives her more confidence she could get away from her enemies. Also because of the circumstances she will find herself looking for a healer that gives her more then she asks for and what she finds in the end gives her a 'breakdown'. She ends up to be more stronger then all the vazis ever created before and able to control the thirst until able to use it in her favor.
I can not tell you how fast i read this book and how much i enjoyed every page that carry me into the oblivious fantasy world of the dream walkers.
This one was a little less Twilight, but still annoying.
I get the book is for young people, but that doesn't mean that it can get away with everything, it lacks structure, some things just don't work for me. But I will keep reading to see what happens.
Again, I was underwhelmed by this series. Forsaken (Book #1) left me wondering if Nora and Hunter are in love and why he chose her. I was hoping to resolve some of this in Revelations (Book #2), but BANG! two new characters are introduced and without even really knowing who they are we are suppose to trust them as allies.
When Nora is separated from Hunter I couldn't believe how much the story is, yet again, a poor parody of Twilight; specifically the second book New Moon. Was there no other way to progress the story between these two main characters then to pull them apart and have Nora confused and alone with someone she just met. For some reason she completely trusts her new companion while everyone else is out to get her.
While I am reading on to find out what happens, it's hard to ignore some of the bad character development and the ways in which the author chooses to progress the story.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
While the first book in the series dragged at some points and flew at others, this one was consistent throughout the entire thing. I couldn't put it down. The plot goes deeper into the world of the supernatural, leaving you with answers to some things and questions to others. if you're reading the reviews to see if you should continue with the series or not (which I often do), this is your sign to keep reading! You won't be disappointed!
Nora and Alexander have travelled into the far reaches of the mine to find the door that leads to the vault where ancient writings of the Vassiz are believed to be kept. They succeed in opening the door to the vault, but there they meet a massive beast from the dream world that has kept the Fallen Angels captive for thousands of years. Together with the help of her returning friends, Hunter and Madison they free defeat the beast and free the Angels.
Better than the first! Love the new characters, and the twist on how Hunter (SPOILER!) 'leaves' Nora for Madison -it is Madison, right?- Gray is so adorable , that cute little bear that loves Nora so much!!! :p Only reason I didnt give this book five stars is because of some grammar and spelling mistakes. Youll like this if you enjoyed the first!
I'm glad I stuck with this series, the first book didn't give you enough time to really build emotion toward any one character and was really rushed with one thing happening after another. But the second book gave you the opportunity to actually relate to the characters..it still had action but it didn't feel as rushed as before. Guess we'll have to see what book three has.
wow! Such an amazing second book in the Forsaken Saga! With my Review of Forsaken I was so happy That Nora and Hunter had found each other and happiness, prepare yourself for heart ache and pure worry for this read, but do not give up! you will be so glad you finished!
I have really enjoyed this book and have read both the first and second book in two days. Even when I wasn't reading it I was wondering what was going to happen next. A sign of a good book I think. I'm looking forward to reading the last two books and would rate this as a must read.
I loved the book I can't wait to read the 3rd and 4th book of the Forsaken. Thank you so much to Sophia Sharp! If you get the CHANCE READ THE SERIES READ IT!!!!!! :)
