I took the class that APY offered on this topic a few years ago and absolutely loved it. So, it was nice to finally get around to reading the book that developed from that class! Overall, this was a great read that really reshapes how we should approach prophetic literature.

A little too deep in academia and a commitment to technicality, and the footnotes contained too many asides that could have been better served in the main text, especially when referencing other scholars the author disagreed with.
The Conclusion chapter itself is what a conclusion should be though - succinctly recaptures her argument and the examples used. If the clarity of this chapter had been brought throughout, it would have been a much more successful work. As it stands, however, the book itself seems patched together and could use more confidence in the argument, especially in material not relating to Ezekiel & Jeremiah.
