A little too deep in academia and a commitment to technicality, and the footnotes contained too many asides that could have been better served in the main text, especially when referencing other scholars the author disagreed with.
The Conclusion chapter itself is what a conclusion should be though - succinctly recaptures her argument and the examples used. If the clarity of this chapter had been brought throughout, it would have been a much more successful work. As it stands, however, the book itself seems patched together and could use more confidence in the argument, especially in material not relating to Ezekiel & Jeremiah.
