Wow, esto es lo que pasa cuando ya no sabes cómo continuar una serie y la sigues alargando de una forma innecesaria. El volumen 9 abarca de los capítulos 72 al 80 y debo decir que ha sido el más odioso de todos, pero déjenme explicarles por qué:
La primera mitad del tomo es entretenida, eso hay que aceptarlo. Trata de una competencia en la que el vencedor tendrá como premio el beso de una chica. Así que, como era de esperarse, todos los chicos se apuntan y Raku, al no querer que nadie le haga algo a Onodera, hace lo posible por ganar y ¡oh, sorpresa!obvio no. Es exactamente lo que pasa.
Esa vocecita en mi cabeza me está gritando: es una RomCom y aparte harem, ¿qué podías esperar?
El caso es que, inclusive con el capítulo precioso entre Chitoge y Raku, la cita falsa y el jueguito de ella por el día de los inocentes, este tomo nada más no se salva.
La segunda mitad fue la más tormentosa para mí y de verdad me tuvo rodando los ojos como ningún otro, porque se introduce un nuevo personaje (Haru, otra chica insoportable, igual que Marika), quien resulta ser la hermana menor de Onodera. Al inicio ella desprecia a Raku en parte por celos y en parte porque viéndolo desde afuera, él está rodeado de un montón de mujeres hermosas que, aparentemente, no tendrían por qué estar tan embelesadas por su carisma.
Pese a ello, indirectamente también está interesada en él y eso es lo que lo vuelve completamente absurdo. Vamos, yo sé que esta es una RomCom llena de clichés y cosas que están mal, pero de veras no podía caer más bajo.
Debo admitir que estoy continuando con la serie porque de veras me gusta muchísimo Chitoge, porque tiene momentos que me hacen reír como idiota, y el estilo del mangaka es de mis favoritos, pero fuera de eso, la historia principal deja mucho que desear.

And so we add a few more girls to Raku's harem... :) I love how, despite all the antics, these friends really do care for one another. No matter who ultimately gets the guy, they'll all have gained much more in friendship.

Cute to see some new characters, including Haru, who actually DOESN'T like Raku. I'm sure that will change, but for now it's a refreshing change of pace.

And the next volume is apparently about Shu’s crush, and I lovvvvve Shu! Best wingman and good guy all around 👍 My bet is that it’s Ruri. She’s alright, but no one is good enough for Shu!! 😂

This is such a fun manga! I love the art, and the characters are so endearing! Kosaki's sister Haru, and Paula, Tsugumi's protege, as both a little nutty. I enjoyed being introduced to them (for the second time in the case of Paula). This volume was pretty entertaining. I feel a bit bad for Raku, though. Sounds like he has quite the reputation! It had me laughing pretty hard. Chitoge's "big lie" was funny (and a little cute) as well. Overall, this was a good addition to the series. I hope the next volume comes into the library soon! 4 stars. Cute cover.

The race chapters were pretty funny, and the April Fools one was not only funny but showed another side of Chitoge. We also get two new characters in Fu and Haru, and it will be interesting to see how this changes up the dynamic.

In this volume, we meet a few new characters, as the new first-years come in. We meet Onodera’s little sister, Haru. Who’s extremely protective of her sister, and very biased against Raku. There’s also some possible crush coming there, though hopefully it’ll just go into friendship with related interests. There’s Haru’s best friend, in a situation much like Onodera and Ruri’s relationship. And then Paula shows up, coming to school to be closer to Tsugumi. I like Paula, and I’m interested to see her form real friendship with other students.
I love all the characters in this series, how different each one is, and how complex they’re made. I do find the harem style a bit much at times, especially since there’s about a dozen girls at this point and only two boys, with only one of those boys as a real interest to the girls. Sometimes the ecchi stuff is a bit much too, for example when Raku accidentally sees up Haru’s skirt, like three times, and yet gets blamed each time.
But this series is still fantastic. The development with the characters, the way the girls are really forming friendships along the way. I really like Onodera, and I like the way Paula is growing, but I’m still a big fan of Chitoge, and I loved seeing her trying to work with her crush on Raku in one of the chapters. That was cute.
I’m sure this series has no end in sight, and while I’d love to see a conclusion to the romance, I’m just enjoying it at this point.

As fun as this series is, I put this volume off several times in favor of reading other mangas instead. Happily, I finished it yesterday.
Haru Onodera is a real piece of work, treating her savior like that and not believing him when he tells her that it was him that saved her. Also, I feel that she needs to butt out of her sister's lovelife, since Kosaki's not having much luck with Raku as it is. However, it was fun to see them all working together at the family sweets shoppe.
Those bonus stories keep reminding me that I need to read Kosaki's magical girl spin-off series as well. Also, the anime announcement had very nice art.

New characters made things a bit more interesting. The series is turning more into a high school life with a harem book than the romance mystery it started as, but it has likable characters in amusing situations and nice art so I can't complain too much. The anime announcement picture had Ruri weirdly small or Shu especially tall, she was like waist high to him. The comic extra is amusing enough to make me want to get the next volume to find out who the shadowy villain is so I guess I'll be ordering it from the library.

Kosaki's younger sister and Paula figure predominantly in this volume proving that you cannot have enough girls in a harem series. Both have super unreasonable expectations of those around them so I don't even know what to say anymore. It seems that with the plotline flagging all the author can think to do is throw in more characters.
Still, it was reasonably fun to read, so I'm still giving the series 3 stars. At least it's a nice way to turn off my brain at the end of the day.

Another hilarious addition to the series, as well as a nice place to add in some additional characters. The volume is full of laughs and I definitely like the new dynamics our growing cast of characters brings to the world of Nisekoi.

Oh man that was a fun chapter! I love that we finally got some new characters, though I wish that Onodera's sister was a little more understanding!

New students have come to the school of which the most notable are Onodera’s little sister Haru and Paula who is competitive with Seishiro Tsugumi normally but seems interested in helping her get closer to Raku for the time being. Before that there is a running event and the boys are uninspired until their teacher gives them an incentive they can't resist and more importantly Raku must be stopped from winning no matter what. Chitoge also explores her feelings for Raku more and hilarity ensues as she uses April Fool's day to get more romantic with him. Gotta say it is a nice change to see Haru is not falling for Raku like her older sister even though she technically is since she was saved by him and won't believe this deviant is her knight in shining armor. Plus the faces she makes when Raku is around are pretty funny. :)
Probably my fave part of this volume is Haru and Onodera's mother teasing Haru about falling for Raku even though it is not any where on the agenda. :)

Ten easy steps so you canhate strongly dislike her too!
1. Upon their first meeting, Raku saves her from a bunch a thugs.❤❤❤❤❤❤ You're too sweet, Raku dearest♥
2. Haru faints dead away and doesn't remember it's Raku.
3. When she meets him officially at school, she's all STAY AWAY FROM MAH SISTAH, YO! You two timing CREEP!
4. Haru is Kosaki's sistah.
5. She has Raku's pendant. It fell after he rescued her.
6. She insists it is NOT his.
7. It is her Prince Charming's.
8. Side note: translations are somewhat annoying. It uses real cringy phrases like “Prince Charming,” “lovey-dovey,” etc era.
9. She refuses to give it back to him.
10. She swears to crush it to pieces and chuck it into the sea if the pendant really is Raku's.

Primero una historia sobre un maratón que da algo d risa y después una broma que Chitoge hace a Raku. La segunda parte del manga la cual confunde al principio es un cambio de grado y la aparición d ella hermana de Onodera, quien sólo había sido mencionada rápidamente en otro volumen. Junto con el regreso de Paula y la aparición de la hermana de Onodera la historia se torna divertida al comienzo d e un nuevo año escolar para los personajes.

If I'm being honest with myself this is more of a 2.5 stars. Not because of anything horrible, it's just that the story is getting kind of repetitive and overly ridiculous (Like, does Raku really need a FIFTH love interest?). This volume really felt like a lot of the other volumes but with new characters. I'm hoping we get more of the original crew in the next volume.

I find Haru grating, though she does have some good moments. I've really come to like Tsugumi in the past couple volumes though.

This volume adds a couple new characters and plot points that I am not at all interested in. Return of the tropes in this one to the point that the main story stalled big time.

I'm glad they've added a new character! I was wondering how this series was going to continue and if it was going to become stale, but so far I'm still enjoying it!
