Horror aficionado, lover of Halloween, author of the upcoming young adult horror novel, HUDSON HOUSE, available in print and ebook formats.
J.T. Warren was born on Halloween, a few months after his mother saw Jaws at the movies. His affinity for horror can be traced to an early age when he built a coffin out of cardboard and pretended to be a corpse, much to the concern of his parents. He can still be found in a coffin on Halloween when he gets into the spirit of the season. He is a public school teacher and has successfully lured thousands of students into literary waters through works of horror. He hopes his writing will further encourage young adults, and everyone older, to discover the wonder (and dread) found in the written word.
The author could not have picked a more perfect title for his book...'Calamity'. Although, 'Calamity' isn't your typical horror novel. It's more psychologically terrifying than most of the recent horror novels I've read. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly scary and at times downright brutal. The author's style reminded me a little of Stephen King and Joe Hill, with a dash of Clive Barker. He has the ability to paint a vivid picture of exquisite horror like Barker, but with King and Hill's abilities to weave seemingly unrelated threads together to form a cohesive narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat (and scares the heck outta you) in an exciting and maddening sort of way! I can’t wait for his new book!
