Selected articles (and editorials) from When Saturday Comes ("the half-decent football magazine") spanning the first 10 years or so of the mag. (Apart from the first 11 issues, which were published as "The First Eleven") Many of the articles here are utterly brilliant, almost invariably Harry pearson's for example. The focus is mostly although not exclusively on British/English football and the articles span an era in UK football when the game changed for ever - and not for the better many would argue. The birth of the Premier League, the coming of Sky, and of course Hillsborough.

When Saturday Comes started as a zine sometime in the eighties and has kept a deadpan fans eye view on english football ever since.
Funny, good politics, and enough sarcasm and wit to make even the English National Team look interesting.
