I’m ready for the chaos of Texas to be a speck in my rearview mirror. So when the museum director throws me a bone by arranging for us to visit a fossil dig in Utah, I jump at the opportunity.
I need a breather from all the craziness that has become my life since waking multiple dino shifters. A dig in Utah sounds like exactly what I need, the perfect getaway. As long as I stay away from any dino shifter bones… other than in the bedroom, of course.
The first surprise was the primitive campsite. These cabins don’t even have running water. Oof. The second surprise was being chased through the woods by someone—or something. Gulp. The third? Well, let’s just say my attacker was more than a little freaked out when we tumbled into a pit and he came face-to-face with a brontosaurus. Surprise, mother-clucker!
You would have thought dealing with a newly awakened shifter, and working through things with Albert would have been enough drama for one vacation. But someone is stealing from the dig site, and suspicion falls on everyone in the campsite… including my mates, Suli, and me.
My mates create a security detail to unravel the mystery, while I spend my time learning how to control my magic. I absolutely suck at it, but don’t judge me! It’s just really tough, okay? How’s a girl supposed to manage four dinosaur shifters, a sexy detective on high alert, and Albert Einswine, who continues to cause endless mischief and chaos? I’ll tell you how—with lots of coffee, no sleep, and a possibly a slight detour into madness. Ignore the evil maniacal laughter. Maybe I’ll feel better after a nap.
Sedona Ashe lives in a tiny town in Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains. She enjoys reading and writing stories filled with powerful paranormal females, and sexy supernatural men. Sedona has a tea collection of over 300 teas from around the world, which her husband claims has become an obsession. When she isn't writing, she enjoys hiking, free diving, and photography. She shares her home with three kids, four pups, five cats, an arctic fox, chickens, a crazy turkey, and way too many reptiles!
Jack has continuously gotten the short end of the stick. He’s the only human still and is not privy to 75% of the conversations happening IN FRONT OF HIM. He has no telepathy still and seemingly stands in silence while EVERYONE ELSE talks in their head to each other. How is that fair? I would be so upset???
I feel like this author puts no care into her writing. It’s sad because it could polish up nicely I think. But most times it seems she’s just trying to push out books regardless of their quality.
Arizona and crew go on a trip which is meant to be a relaxing vacation at a dinosaur dig - because clearly there would be no problems there - but chaos ensues when items start going missing, and someone chases Arizona through the dark!
I liked the addition of the brontosaurus - whose name currently escapes me - to the crew. His calm presence added a nice balance to the rest of the chaotic crew. And it's doubly nice to finally have someone who can help Arizona actually learn how to use and control her magic.
It was also nice that Arizona finally came clean about Albert.
My biggest gripe right now, though, is that the dinos constantly tell Ari that she's safe, but she's constantly getting kidnapped, and the magical mind connection stops working at the most convenient times for the plot, and it's like, guys - and Suli - y'all kind of suck at keeping Ari safe.
I mean, the first time you could maybe blame her for going to the bathroom in the dark by herself, but the second time y'all literally just left her alone for hours...
Anyway -
This is a fun, silly series, and I am looking forward to the next book in March, and more sexy, dino (and pig and human) hijinks.
So much potential. I love how unique this story is and the creativity. I love the back story of how she is getting her "gifts" . It has amusement that is LOL. Albert is still the cutest ever. So there is good that has kept me reading this series. But......NOTHING happens that makes you want to pick up the next book!!!! There's sex. Lots of sex (eyeroll). Picking up mates like a kid in a candy store (another eyeroll). The protagonist is always in something stupid. She can't even use the bathroom without something happening that you can see coming from a mile away. Her guardians and mates aren't worth a damn when it comes to keeping her safe. But it's not their fault the author isn't creative enough to build angst in the story without making them look sorry as hell. It's just frustrating. If it wasn't for Albert Einswine, I would have never picked this 3rd book up. Three stars for Albert Einswine!!
Arizona continuing to be uncertain and wishy washy is working my nerves. Also, she's so dumb with the boo-hoo-I-blasted-Albert-with-hurty-magic, but not feeling at all guilty that she left him as a pig for so long after she found out. What a wussy jerk.
I'm trying not to abandon this book only so I can find out who Suli's fated person is going to be, but I don't know if I'll be able to.
Spoilers I love how this series isn’t all about saving the world type of plot. It’s light hearted, and has natural flowing emotions with each point of view we read. I’m so glad we got to read more about Albert, her Lemoir, her familiar and another mate of hers. She comes clean with the guys half way through this latest adventure of being on a dig site courtesy of Theresa from the museum wanting to prevent a lawsuit. You would think Arizona wouldn’t get up to any trouble, honestly though, trouble finds her. They encounter a thief on site, didn’t know he was labeled one until after day after she was chased through the forest from a midnight outhouse run. This is where Erikson is introduced and I’m not sure if Albert the pig, handed it to her or what. She took a tumble and thought she had a stick in her hand, turned out to be a Brontosaurus bone. Since she was bleeding from the fall, a new mate appeared. He seemed to know immediately who he was to her and shifted to human right away, they were worried this stalker saw him in his Dino form. The guy was never found until Sulseti wanted to have a bdsm fun kind of night and took him back to the cabin. The realized he was there to rip her off and found plenty of stolen evidence, he was the theif they were all looking for. Ari and her family had fingers pointed at her, people who worked on the site thought her entire family were the ones who were taking bones from ones already catalogued. I suspect the necklace Erikson gave her will be something super important in the coming books. It melted my heart that’s how his claiming was going to be. So unique. I’m glad she was able to bond them all, the bedroom scenes are Hot. And the outside ones were just as steamy. I’m glad this book and each previous book, they all have proper conclusions for what was going on. This series is more individual adventures. Trying to find their new normal. I really enjoyed it.
Arizona and her mates are on a much needed vacation courtesy of Theresa from the museum… who, honestly, just doesn’t want a lawsuit. But when they arrive at the digsite, they find things to be a little more primitive than what they expected. When an unknown man chases her through the digsite and she falls into a pit, grabbing a bone for protection, she doesn’t expect it to be another mate. And Erikson is HUGE – a brotosaurus, to be exact. As she comes to terms with having another mate, Arizona also struggles with telling the rest of her mates and Suli about the events that transpired in Texas… starting with the truth about Albert Einswine.
SO MUCH SPICY SPICY SPICY SPICE SPICE, AND DINO SMEXXXXXXXX. I loved Erikson and how calm he is compared to the others. I also loved Jack and Albert’s interactions when they all learn the truth about our favorite pet pig. I loved the romance and the very little plot (be real, you picked this up for dino action). I’m sad because there’s no word on the sequel and this is still unfinished… but like, girl, you’ve already got three dino, one human, and one other creature that turns into a pig as a shifter, plus your triceratops friend. HOW MANY MORE MEN CAN YOU POSSIBLY FIND?! (The answer is the limit does not exist, GIVE ME MORE DINO SMEXX!!!)
This series has been seriously fun to read. The author writes really great female characters, and I’m just sitting here wishing she’d grab the bull by the horns—there’s definitely a dinosaur pun to make here, but I’m not witty enough to land it, lol.
Out of all the mates introduced so far, this one is my favorite—even though we didn’t really get the chance to spend that much time with him. A lot of things happened in this book (like, a lot), and a villain kind of came out of nowhere. Honestly, this is one of those cases where I wish the story had slowed down just a bit to let everything breathe.
I love this whole book it's got drama love and spicy all the things you need and add in a devilish pig and sexy dino shifter and a crazy bestie and your gor the perfect book to curl up and read on a cold night. The characters all have their own personality and seeing it thro other points of view is one of my favorites part I love seeing inside Jack's mind since he the human of the group and seeing Albert in all his glory is perfect! Can't wait to see what happens next
While I know I enjoyed this book and the series. I think my mood changed while reading the series and I noticed I wasn't engrossed in the world enough to want to run back to it. I can say other books have managed to keep me engrossed while moods change so it's more this series is extra cosy with a dash of danger but mainly a cosy, smexy, fun read.
The relationship development is the real central stone of these books, and without major tasks forcing them through trials to come together, I felt less engaged in the events.
So if you are looking for a relationship central, Cosy, insta-love, fated mates and bonds, minimal angst, many side tasks, RH, PNR, Dinosaur shifters, witches, and chaos making pigs, FMC clever and strong-willed, open door shot smex, and funny banner, bromance and antics. This is a great read
I absolutely am in love with the new mate but Albert will always be my number one. I mean how can he not be with his mischievous little self. One of my favorite things about her series is the silly little riddles or puns beginning each chapter. They make me laugh. But back to the book, Sedona has again done an amazing job bringing them all to life and making them truly one of a kind. I cannot wait for the next book.
I absolutely love this series! Arizona is such a great FMC, and the quirky humor and inner dialogue keeps me giggling throughout the book. Albert is for sure a favorite, but all of Arizona's harem have such great personalities and the steam is off the charts. The Easter eggs left in this book will have me patiently waiting to discover more about this unusual shifter story - unusual because - duh - Mini Pigs and Dinosaurs - who does that? Sedona does and she does it beautifully!
Book 3 was great~ the plot was great and it doesn’t end in a cliff hanger either. I can count it as a HEA if I don’t want to read book 4. BUT I will 😂. The plot was very interesting and had many funny moments.
I love all of her shifter mates and even Jack who is human. But my favorite will always be Albert especially when he is in his shifter form and does the funniest things ever! Such a sly piggy lol
Each chapter begins with some silly pun or joke related to dinosaurs, including groan-worthy pickup lines. Read below for my favorite ones from this book.
Q: Why are paleontologists angry all the time? A:
Are you an asteroid? Because you have a killer impact on me.
Something I love about this series is the importance the main characters put on communicating about their relationship! I see in a lot of RH books there isn't a lot of communication, and it makes it difficult for me to think those would last long term. But with this one, they don't shy away from the hard topics, which is essential for a relationship to thrive. I loved this book too and I'm hoping book 4 comes out soon because I'm so ready for more!
I found myself list in the world and I couldn't put the book down. The characters and world is well done. The story is right there and you cheer for them and laugh. I am here for this series it keeps getting better with each book. I really can't wait to see what happens next. I would recommend this book to everyone
When pigs fly and dinosaurs are aplenty. This short book took us to Utah and a remote campsite connected to an archaeological dig. Or mischievous pig playing a more prominent role and I’m all here for it! An adventure, two more mate bonds solidified, bad people handled Jurassic style all made for an excellent addition to this story.
What’s the difference between hot potato and a flying pig? One’s a heated yam, and the other is a yeeted ham.
Sedona has done it again! From the laugh out loud slightly cringe worthy puns, to Arizonas sexy mates saving the day, this book was impossible to put down. I cannot wait for the puns book four will bring!
I was not expecting the brontosaurus when I was thinking of book 3 before I saw the cover. I kind of love it. And Albert is hilarious. The chaos and shit disturbing is epic. I can’t blame Arizona for feeling self conscious or worried that she won’t be able to balance all these guys but they seem very devoted. But this “we’re going on vacation” idea is sooooo going to backfire.
The pig is my favorite.....but they all fall in close second. Love the trouble they get in to. And out of. Wondering how many times her bo is can be broken and then healed. Although it does cross my mind that they are supposed to be her protectors and she gets hurt multiple times and they are no where to be found
I'de give you a good dinosaur pun but they all went extinct
I have really enjoyed this series and I'm sad I have to wait for the next to come out. I love all of them. I'll admit I started reading cause of the pig cause omg cute ASF. But I stayed because I love them all. I love the authors sense of humor. Can't wait for the next one!
One of the BEST books i've ever read / listened too - had me laughing loudly, crying with sorrow and with happiness, a decent plot line throughout, complex characters and banter galore, and some serious steamy smex. And a pig, and awesome pig, who shall always be the pinnacle of all pigs ever, from now on!
This series has been in my TBR list for a while. I'm so glad I finally read them! Arizona is hilarious. Albert is adorable, and all of her mates love her so much. I love how they interact with each other, plus all of the adventures they go on. I only have 4 more days til the forth book comes out. I'm definitely buying all of them.
I loved this book. The characters are great and I enjoyed reading the story. The books in this series don’t have the most intricate of plots, but I love the hilarious situations the characters get into. I can’t wait for the next book to be released. 5 stars and the potential to go on my list of favourites to re-read in the future.
This series is just so dang adorable! Albert is my fave - I mean how can he not be!? But this was a fun one. Poor Arizona has bad luck with life situations but she won the jackpot in mates. Looking forward to more.
I just love this series. It’s hilarious & filled with adventure & of course sexy times. Eagerly awaiting book 4. I love how the characters are evolving & everything comes together perfectly. Please keep writing these amazing characters. Love Albert haha
This was too cute!! Finally we learned more about Albert and I just LOVE HIM!! The way they stumble into trouble along with the humorous banter is the best!! I’m looking forward to the next book!
