I honestly don’t know how Roe Horvat does it. I mean it’s just smut on top of smut but at the same time it’s so freaking good!! Like there’s a story and then there's world building, it all manages to fit in there somehow and on top of that there is also that very beautiful writing. I can’t get enough of these books. This one in particular takes place in the “Hedonist” realm and it’s just as good as the others!! Again, despite all the smut I always manage to be intrigued by this little bit of story. Short and sweet! It just all goes together so well, even the characters are interesting. I loved the descriptions of both Bear and Wolf. I am living for these stories.

Alpha Kings is another wonderfully steamy and erotic omegaverse from Roe Horvat. I absolutely enjoyed Wolf, Bear, and Aiken's story.
Aiken grew up in an oppressive society; as an omega - even as the son of a king - he is beneath Alphas; however, with Wolf and Bear, he finds himself in a culture where omegas are not only respected but celebrated. He's able unlearn harmful teachings, find himself and connect with his destined mates.
Wolf and Bear, despite their fearsome appearance, allow Aiken to not be kept as a prisoner of war; he's allowed to live as a prince under their watch, and they are not forceful in any way. They give him space him to explore and grow, patiently watching over him.
Roe writes his omegas with so much agency over their sexuality, they own it, yet at the same time they are more than their designation.
I loved the relationship between Wolf and Bear just as much as I loved their relationship with Aiken. The two brothers greatly respect one another - they complement one another, and with Aiken, they are complete.
The spice! It's perfection. With all the stuff I'm dealing with at school and the January blues getting to me, I needed the heat this book brought. This book is an erotic romance by Roe, so expect lots and lots of steamy, steamy sex! I also loved that we got heat sex and a chestfeeding scene!
While this book does take place in the Hedonist world you can totally read it as a standalone. I have not read the other books (mainly because I'm not into sharing), but I was able to enjoy Alpha Kings and didn't feel lost. But be warned there's orgy scenes but this is all before they become a committed/mated triad.
Overall, Alpha Kings was an absolutely delightful story! I love the world and lore Roe created and can't recommend it enough for fans of Omegaverse.

Roe Horvat is the indisputable champ of sensual erotica. This book is sexy, no doubt, but I needed more character and relationship development.
The alphas kings don't even have names. They're just Bear and Wolf, and apparently their kids are going to be Little Bear and Little Wolf? That's just silly.
I was trying to figure out why the sex orgies in the King Sebastian books worked for me, while the ones in this story felt gratuitous, and realized it's because the secondary characters in Hedonist are well-rounded. They have identities and backstories. Here, the alphas and omegas are nameless, faceless props.
The fight with Prince Aiken's father was unsatisfying and simplistic - a stage for the alphas shifting.
Aiken went from shy, traumatized virgin to begging sex fiend in like a week. His pregnancy is not on page. We go from heat to 10 months later, like the author wrote the heat scenes and couldn't be bothered with anything else.
What I love about Roe's stories is that despite being VERY high steam, they don't lack depth. This one did.
Closer to 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 because I liked the beginning of the book and the legends about shifter warriors.

I expected more tbh. Sure, it was as hot as can be expected but I think the plot had the potential to be explored at least a little more and was as it was dealt with too quickly to get straight back to the f*ing.

I think I have a Roe-Horvat-kink.
He publishes, I try it.
That went well with his earlier books (all time favorites!) but I know the omegaverse isn't exactly where my heart lies.
BUT as I said: Roe Horvat. Noone writes erotica better than him.

When I get that itch, no one but Roe knows how to scratch it juuust right. What makes it even better is that this is probably my new favorite of all of his books that I've read so far.
As always, the plot and world-building is fairly minimal but again, this is probably my favorite world that Roe has introduced us to. I loved the magic, the shifting, the lore - and the characters? UGH, I FUCKING LOVE WOLF AND BEAR but especially Wolf. His pouty, possessive, impatient ass had me wrapped around his clawed finger.
I truly see myselfcumming coming back to this one for a reread when the mood (read: horniness) strikes.

i really don’t know how to rate this. i want to give this both 2 and 4 stars, so i guess 3 it is.
this was very different from what i imagined but that’s on me, so we’re not taking it into consideration.
however the last part was definitely rushed. and in my spoilery rant i’ll make clear what we could’ve cut from the beginning.

yes, they told me there were orgies, however the throuple was supposed to be exclusive.
and yeah they are. and yeah i understand that with orgies happening every night the mcs might fuck other people before getting together with the omega.
however why did i have to read extremely detailed sex scenes with random characters for half of the book???? that pissed me off so much. literally ruined the entire book. like the second half is good, but damn, now that i’m thinking about it again i really want to give this 2 stars. so my rating might change if my rage doesn’t subside soon.

I actually quite enjoyed the omega character, Prince Aiken, in this book. He's not a complete doormat, is eager to explore what he enjoys, and is quite clever.
On the other hand, I wish his two lords weren't named "Bear" and "Wolf". 😖 And their dynamics aren't really a true threesome, but more like Bear x Aiken + Wolf x Aiken.

So good to be back in the Hedonist world! And wow, blushing just remembering... Jezzzzzz, Roe is a king!
We have a little more world-building in this story, explaining some legends and myths that turn out to be very true. We even have some kingdoom war shenanigans while being trhouwn in the erotic awe of Prince Aiken, with our mighty alphas, Bear and Wolf.
Expect everything you can imagine in a Roe Horvat book, and I mean everything that's filthy and sweet at the same time, and that's his magic. I loved all the beloved Sebastian references; I simply adore him!
Even the TW are hot, goddam!
I received an arc from Roe, and this is my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this a lot more than the previous book. Like Omega Claimed, this one also featured werewolves but was a full length novel that actually explained things. Although Omega Claimed makes even less sense now that we know that the shape shifting magic was supposed to be gone. Who were the alphas in Omega Claimed and why did they still have magic?
Anyway, forget about them. This was an MMM where the two alphas shared an omega but were not in love with each other, but were like brothers. I really enjoyed Bear and Wolf. But I love Sebastian and his court most of all. I missed Sebastian, and this had a small peek at a story where Aiken meets Sebastian, but the rest of the story is on Patreon which I don’t have. 😭 I wish so much I could read that story. I’m sad that I’m done with this series.
As I mentioned in my review for King's Heat, the way the friendships and open-relationships work reminds me of Peter and the Wolves. Peter and the Wolves has more of a story and character development. I much prefer Peter, it’s one of my favourite series. But this duology is a great follow-up for fans of open-relationships. Or the other way around. If you enjoyed this series and would like something else with similar friendships and open-relationships, but with a much more elaborate and complex story, a bigger world and more characters, try Peter and the Wolves.

I was dnfing a book because it was too porny for me but i started this book which then I discovered more pornier than the last one I dnfed lol. They literally had an orgy during supper.
I kinda blame myself for setting up an expectations from this instead of just going blind, I was hoping I get royalty with regency and possessive and overprotective alphas, well this is not it,
This is just porn with a great plot and lore to it, the alphas and the prince are sex hungry honestly every characters in this story are sex hungry.

Every time I read a book of his, I think there is no way the next one will be dripping with steam the way this one did and every time it’s like he reads my mind and goes ‘watch me’.
The sensuality in his stories are unmatched. He's capable of tantalizing and teasing you to a point of utter and total seduction.
Some might actually want to get you off, some might not, but all of them will have you frantically turning the pages and fanning your face as the spice levels increase.
Aiken, Bear and Wolf were absolute fire together, their intense passion, love and mutual respect was evident and I loved every smoking hot second of this book.

What starts as something terrible, a kidnapping, turns into the best thing that ever happened to Aiken. Bear and Wolf had such different personalities, but they complimented one another perfectly. They let Aiken come to them in his own time and then took wonderful care of him.
This whole world that Roe has created is stunning. It never disappoints and always leaves me happy. I hope there are so many more books in this world in the future.

This whole world that Roe has created is stunning. It never disappoints and always leaves me happy. I hope there are so many more books in this world in the future.

Alpha Kings is an erotic omegaverse story set in a fantasy world. The story takes place in the same world as Horvat’s Hedonist series, but while King Sebastian is mentioned in passing a couple of times as the king of a neighboring land, there is no other overlap and the stories stand independently. What readers of the prior series will find familiar is the lush, sensual style to the story. “Hedonist” very aptly describes these books, as they are very erotic in a setting where public sex, shared partners, group encounters, and casual nudity is very common. Horvat does a nice job establishing a very distinct tone and carrying it throughout these stories.

Ja kocham Roe, a szczególnie jego książki, ale tu mi czegoś zabrakło. Była gorąca , szybko się czytało, ale zabrakło mi tych uczuć,z których Roe jest znany.

4.5 stars. I was in the mood for a story that was more smut than plot and I saw that this author had a short story collection so started that. At the end of each story the author suggested one of their longer stories if you enjoyed it. Thought that was such a neat idea and I decided to try this one because I loved the story that it was recommended on.
Overall I absolutely enjoyed this one. It was packed with smut but even during the sexy scenes I did feel like we got to know the characters. I loved seeing their mating bond grow and this triad come to life! The omega is both Alpha’s priority and they are like brothers to each other. I loved that their priority was first and foremost Aiken. I also really liked how opposite Wolf and Bear were in every aspect and how it worked so well for both of them. Their HEA was wonderful!
If you’re not a fan of exhibitionism or MCs being with lots of people on page before getting together I would stay away from this story. If this sounds appealing then I highly recommend!!
