There’s nothing more liberating than picking up your life and relocating. I needed a fresh start, desperately looking to get away from my past. Stewart Grove is such a cute small town and seems like the perfect place to settle. Add in the fact I got a job serving at the popular Burgers and Brew restaurant, and everything seems to be clicking into place.
Then single dad Jack Harper sat down at one of my tables and turned my world upside down.
I wasn’t expecting to meet a man so quickly after moving, let alone one ten years my senior, but there’s no denying the instant connection. The problem is, I carry a secret. One that could destroy this new life I’m creating.
I just pray it all doesn’t blow up in my face.
Jack
Weekends are spent with my kids. As a local electrician and business owner, I don’t exactly work your typical nine-to-five job. Add in co-parenting with my ex-wife, and there isn’t a lot of free time for myself. Dates have always been an afterthought, especially when the few I’ve been on didn’t go well. I’m content with just being Dad, making sure my kids always come first.
Then I met her.
Stevie Clement is completely unexpected in the best sort of way, and I find myself drawn to her like I’ve never experienced. I want all of her time, in my life and in my bed.
However, it may come down to an impossible decision: my kids or the woman I want to spend my life with.
Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.
Stevie grew up with a very difficult childhood. No one really paid any attention to her and she’s been alone most her life. So her move to this small town is very intentional. With only a picture to go by, she packs up, moves, and gets a job with Burgers and Brew Crüe. Sooner than she expected, some people in town are about to find out that Stevie is their sister.
Jack is an electrician in town and despite his first marriage not working out, he shares two children with his ex and they are making the best of it. He doesn’t get a lot of time to date so that has been on the back burner as of late, but he is not opposed to having another relationship. In fact, he misses that part of his life. So while him and his business partner, Camden, are eating burgers one day, Jack is quite taken with the new waitress in town, Stevie. Camden catches on right away and what kind of friend would he be if he didn’t butt in and help out, right?
Jack and Stevie hit it off immediately but things get complicated when everyone’s lives are changing and the kids are having a difficult time keeping up. I could have done without the drama section…it could have been worked around without the definite decision but whatever I’m over it. Overall, loved the book and this entire series and the world created.
Time for change takes us back to the Burgers and Brew Crüe with a new family member.
This series is really great for that found family vibe. It all started with four friends (the first four books in the series) and then that family grew. At the heart of this series is a group that sticks together like family and they have each other's back and offer unwavering support. The people who work for them are lucky enough to benefit from that, but there are a lucky few who make it a step further and become one of them.
This story introduces Stevie, she joins the crew after moving to Stewart Grove to start over. Her family life has never been special and she is honestly happy to be getting further away from it, but she's also in Stewart Grove looking for something else.
Jack is a single parent and a regular at the bar/restaurant. He and his wife might not have been right for each other but they've managed to remain friendly and be there for their kids in a way not many divorced couples succeed at. Between his business and the kids, he's not had much time for women but Stevie is about to make him want more than what he's had.
There is a bit of an age gap here and there are also the single parent issues obviously. Stevie's reason for picking Stewart Grove as her new home could be an issue but it will end up being the place that she is meant to be.
We get glimpses of all the crew (some more than others) and this was a great addition to the series. Not sure how many more Lacey has planned but I'm keen to keep up with the crüe if she keeps writing them. . . . Stevie has taken a big leap to start her life over and it all begins with landing this job in Stewart Grove. The Burgers and Brew bar is well known and she's hoping that this will be the start of a whole new life for her. She could have picked anywhere, but Stevie has her reasons for wanting this particular job. 'I'm strong and capable. I will not let my past define me. I've got this.'
Jack is juggling his business and his kids that he shares custody of with his wife. He's not got time for dating or playing the field like his best friend and business partner. It's not that he doesn't want or need a woman but it's just not something he seeks out. All that changes at lunch at his favorite restaurant when he sees her. 'Slowly, I turn my head and connect with the most alluring pair of brown eyes I've ever seen. They have me transfixed and completely mesmerized.'
She wasn't looking for love but Jack certainly caught her attention, enough that she made the first move. She has no idea if he'll reach out, but in the meantime, she has her own plans to move forward with. Finally, her life is hers and she's ready to live it. 'It's a rightfulness in my chest, one that causes my heart to sing. Completion. Jack Harper just changed my life without even realizing it. I'm never going to be the same.'
He can't stop thinking about her and for the first time in a long time, he wants to get to know someone better. It might be out of his comfort zone but Jack is going to try with Stevie. He's never thought about bringing someone around his kids but the more he gets to know her the more he thinks she might be the one. 'The connection, this invisible pull I feel for Stevie is strong. Even though I should, I don't question or fight it. I let the draw take hold and willingly follow it into the unknown.'
Families are tricky though and between Stevie's family and Jack's kids, things don't always run smoothly. Stevie's unique perspective could have her giving up everything she and Jack are building for the sake of family.
I have been fond of this series since book one, but this is probably my favorite book! The burgers and brew crue are the found family I want to join. When the author announced more books, I was so happy. After reading the book, I was not disappointed at all.
This interconnected series brings us up to date with past couples from prior books, and this one brings us secrets with our story.
Stevie is starting over, and the small town of Stuart Grove is where she has landed. But this is not a dart in the map decision, she discovers information that draws her to the town, and to Burgers and Brews. But this is not my story to tell, so pick up the book, and the series if you have not started it yet.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
I really love everything that’s come out of this Burgers and Brew crew. Stevie and Jack’s story is no exception. New in town and looking for a fresh start, Stevie is everything I like in my heroine. Shes independent, wants to make her own way, and she’s looking for a fresh start to balance the kind of crap-show life gave her. Enter Jack Harper. Hot, single dad without baby mama drama who can manage his own business and always makes a point to put his kids first.
The mutual attraction and slow smolder made this story easy to get into right off the bat. I love Stevie’s determination to both be independent and find connections to people all at once. I’m not sure I can speak much more on the reasons that I love her without giving too much away, but it for sure makes her more likable. This book basically contained everything I love in a story. This is definitely a series I keep coming back too. ~Lauren💜
It’s always a special treat to get back to the Burgers and Brew Crüe and when I heard that this book was coming, I couldn’t one-click fast enough! Stevie and Jack have such a sweet story and the twist — I LOVED it! It gave me a chance to get more of my favorite guy of the series – Jameson!
Stevie had a rough childhood and from the moment she was 18, she hightailed away from her mother and began making a life of her own. Her heart is so big, open, and I love how she has a bucket list of things she wants to do. Many of them are considered “normal, everyday” things, but to Stevie, they mean the world. Part of her moving to Stewarts Grove is a big step toward unveiling a secret she accidentally discovered. What she doesn’t realize is exactly how much it’s going to upend her life in the best possible way.
Jack is a sweet, hardworking dad who is coasting through life. He focuses on his kids and earns major swoon points for it. But when he meets Stevie, he suddenly feels a pull like no other. After a bit of a push from his best friend, we see Jack finally carving out some time for him by going on dates and spending time with Stevie. I adored how he maintained a good relationship with his ex-wife and how supportive they were for one another in regard to the kids. This moved Jack up to the top of my favorite single dads list!
Without the angst, I felt like the entire storyline, including the hardships that come with having kids and dating, were relatable and real-life examples of how adult relationships work. Even though there is an age gap, you can easily see the maturity in Stevie that she’s developed due to her previous circumstances. Their time together is passionate and brings all the love that I can always expect from Lacey’s books. If you’ve read the entire series, you’ll enjoy catching up with previous characters and hints at who will be the next we’ll get to return to!
After a terrible childhood with deadbeat parents, Stevie needs a new start in life. She’s young, but succeeding on her own. And, she has found a picture in her mother’s belongings that leads her straight to Stewart’s Grove and Burgers and Brew.
Jack is a divorced single parent and business owner. Life is good, but his love life is, and has been, non-existent. He lives for the times he has his children with him and isn’t looking for a relationship. But, from just one look he is in way deeper than expected with the beautiful server at his favorite restaurant.
What happens when their worlds collide outside of the small bubble they have made for themselves? Especially if not everyone seems to approve?
There was so much to love about Time for Change!
I was all in for the age gap. It didn’t bother Stevie or Jack, so why shouldn’t I be!
Stevie was seriously kick-butt as a main character! So brave and strong to forge her own way and come looking for her future in Stewart Grove. And, I adore that she finds it! I don’t want to give anything away, but she definitely finds what she was looking for in that picture!
I adored Jack’s relationship with his ex-wife and how they co-parent as a team. They made something that isn’t seem easy.
Jack’s children . . . Christian is adorably precocious and Gianna was 9 going on 19 and a seriously tough nut to crack when it came to accepting so many things.
And, of course, the entire extended Burgers and Brew crew! I love how they just snap up and add anyone in need to their found family.
Time for Change was a great addition to the series. I loved the slow burn aspect as well as all of the feels and emotions with the newly developing relationships - it was fantastic! 4 stars!
Stevie and Jack were so cute. I love a good single dad, age gap romance and this one did not disappoint.
I’ve loved this series from the first book and this one fit right in.
Stevie moved to town looking for a fresh start. She’s loved to Stewart Grove to start over. She’s now got the job at Burgers and Brew and is settling in to her new norm. Then Kack sits down at her table.
Jack isn’t looking for a casual thing. He’s looking for someone he can connect with. Even though he’s not really looking. With two kids dating isn’t as easy as it used to be and he wants to find the right one just anyone.
Now I figured out the secret that Stevie had pretty early and to say that I was just so excited to see how it was going to come out is an understatement. I loved the long lost family and finding each other that came with this book. The good thing was it happened early so you get to see the relationships develop and the pride that those relationships bring. I loved the way that the family just took care of Stevie and brought her right into the fold. Including Jack.
Jack figured out pretty quickly that Stevie was different and he wanted more. He tried to do the whole meet the kids at a slow pace but just realized that he wanted more and was ready. He also took care of Stevie in a way she needed without being over bearing. I loved it.
The third act breakup involves the kids but is solved relatively quickly. It’s an understandable issue and Stevie and Jack handle it like the bosses they are.
Stevie ends up with not just family but found family as well and I loved every moment of it!!!

Another fantastic addition to the burgers and Brew Crüe Series. From the moment I came across this absolutely amazing series I truly have been hooked . With each installment and each couple I’ve found myself falling more and more in love ( these are interconnected stories which is something I am loving so much, the fact that we get to see how each couple is doing and their story does not just end . This time around we get Stevie ( who is a newcomer and Jacks journey and man was it an emotional rollercoaster that hooks you from page one and does not let go . Stevie moves to Stewart Grove for a fresh start . The last thing she wanted or was planning on was to jump into a relationship. Jack is a single dad struggling to keep his business going and his kids take priority over everything and everyone; he has no time for dating or playing the field . That is until he sets his sights on Stevie and is immediately smitten . The more time they spend in each other’s company the more they fall head over heels for each other . This was such a fun read filled with angst , humor , witty banter , heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, fun , sexy , steamy and sweet , drama , off the charts chemistry, secrets, unexpected surprises, love , passion, pain , family and friendships and so much more . Prepare yourself for all the feels . Because you will smile , you will laugh, you will sob like a baby and you will without a doubt root so freaking hard .
Usually I’m one that loves to jump on writing a review as quickly as I finish reading, but this time I waited out trying to comprehend my feelings better. Most importantly, I am a forever fan of this author and the talent she holds. She is an amazing storyteller in every sense of the word, and I always look forward to her books and while I didn’t love this book, I did like it.
Time For Change was a well written story, that was thorough in every aspect. In my opinion, it was fast paced, but I was very easily able to keep up. It is always amazing to see past characters from this series, and I was thrown for a shocker that completely took me by surprise. I also love love love how this author made it a point to always make sure the children came first in EVERY aspect.
Now, unfortunately from what took me from love to like was a couple different things. Firstly, I don’t know what it was about Stevie, she just seemed juvenile to me three quarters through the book. Yes I know she was young, but for someone with a past like hers, I didn’t expect it. I also didn’t get that all consuming, swallow you whole feeling I usually get with this authors characters’ feelings, and that’s seriously kills my soul because I LIVE FOR ROMANCE BOOKS.
With all that said, I do recommend this book. Maybe it’s just an off day for me, I don’t know. It is definitely worth the chance though.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
Stevie Clement is recently moved to Stewart Grove and landed a job at the hottest restaurant and bar in town, Burgers and Brew. She is twenty years old and is taking an online courses for her degree. She has another motive to moving to this town other than changing her surroundings and all that stuff. Jack Harper is a thirty year old single dad of nine year old daughter, Gianna, an four year old son, Christian. He co-parents with his ex-wife Mya.
One day, he and his best friend and partner at their electrician firm decide to have lunch at Burgers and Brew. Stevie is their server and she immediately catches his eye. Stevie is attracted to him instantly too. Because of his friend, Caden, Stevie leaves him his phone number. Then they start going on dates and getting to know each other better. Stevie doesn’t mind that he has kids, and Jack isn’t hang up on their age gap anymore. Little Christian is such a cute and adorable boy. Shake and bake, baby! I loved the relationship and passion between Stevie and Jack. They were meant to be together.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a single dad, age gap, small town romance then you’re going to love it.
Lacey Black heads back to the beloved town of Stewart Grove in Time for Change, the latest addition to her Burgers & Brew Crüe series. Stevie, a spirited and resilient heroine with a tragic past, arrives in Stewart Grove seeking a fresh start and a new job at Burgers & Brew. There, she encounters Jack, a devoted single father juggling the demands of his business and raising his children. Black’s storytelling is always captivating. She has this way of drawing me right into the lives of her endearing characters and their charming community. She skillfully balances the romantic tension with the everyday challenges and joys of small-town life, creating a narrative that feels authentic and genuine.
The age-gap and opposites-attract dynamic between Stevie and Jack added intriguing layers and complexity to their relationship, making their journey all the more compelling. The chemistry between Stevie and Jack was electric, and their interactions were crackling with energy and emotion. The twist of Stevie’s secret added depth to the story, keeping readers eagerly turning pages. Time for Change was a heartwarming and beautifully written romance that I didn’t want to put down. Five smooches from me for Time for Change by Lacey Black! ~Danielle Palumbo
Who is Stevie and who is Jack you ask? Me too. All the other books have made it clear who is in this series. As you start to read Stevie settles herself in town. We learn she is twenty years old. She applies and gets a job at Burgers and Brew.
Burgers and Brew is having an electrical problem. They call Jack. Jack is thirty. Plus Jack has a four and nine year old. Stevie works as a waitress on the restaurant side. She isn’t twenty one yet so she cannot be behind the bar.
Jack is fixing the electrical situation in the employee break room and meets Stevie. This is their story. We meet Jack’s partner Caden who doesn’t have a filter. We also realize Stevie has a secret. It has something to do with one of the original owners? That secret plays out very nicely. However there are no clues as to who it is or why.
What bothers me with this story is a twenty year old isn’t going to fall in love in five months with a thirty year old with two kids. But, the story works the age thing well, being a bit unrealistic to me was bothersome. You wouldn’t know by how Stevie handles herself as she is just twenty and three quarters. So I just let myself go and didn’t think about their ages.
This wasn’t my favorite in this series but you gotta love this family
Tropes : 💜small town 🩶age gap 💜single dad 🩶he falls first 💜found family 🩶dual pov
This is book 9 in the Burgers and Brew Crue series. I have read them all as I’m a big fan of the author. All books are interconnected standalone books.
Stevie is new to Stewart Grove and has heard nothing but good things about Burgers and Brew, a restaurant in town and has just started working there.
A few days after starting, she meet’s Jack, a local electrician and a man 10 years older. She also learns that he is a single dad of two. Even though she is only twenty, she knows what she wants and it is to be a part of something, a family.
The minute Jack saw her, he felt an instant connection. He wasn't sure what to do since she was clearly younger and he is a single dad with his kids , his top priority. Once Jack gets to know her , he has no intention of giving her up but how will his two children react?!
These two really hit it off but the heroine does have a big secret. While these two hit it off, she is trying to figure out how to tell her big secret. She doesn't get the chance as her secret is found out.
I did feel the book ending could have been a bit more extended but otherwise i really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for book 10.
Small town? ☑️ Age-Gap? ☑️ Steamy romance? ☑️ Swoon-Worthy Single Dad ☑️ Found family? ☑️ Dual POV? ☑️ This book has EVERYTHING!!! Jack co-owns an electrician with his best friend and is a single dad to two adorably hilarious kids. Stevie is an independent young woman who had a heartbreaking childhood and just moved into town with a surprising secret. These two characters had a great connection, sizzling chemistry, and cared deeply for each other. They had to navigate through their feelings and make sure that Jack’s kids were top priority. Tears were definitely shed while reading their story. Jack’s kids, Gianna and Christian, added both sassy and comedic relief to the story. Of course it’s always a bonus when past characters make an appearance. If you haven’t done so already, go now to 1-Click this book, as well as the rest of the series. You won’t regret it! Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. Even though I received this for free, I have purchased the ebook copy of this book and the previous ones in this series for my Kindle.

“In the words of the Crüe, it’s time for change.” I want nothing more than to go to Burgers and Brew. It seems like such a fun and welcoming restaurant, and I want to be friends with everyone in the Crue. Jack and Stevie are the newest and 9th couple to meet at Burgers and Brew and find their HEA.
Stevie is new in town and ready to forge her own path in life. Working at Burgers and Brews is her dream job and after having such an unfortunate childhood she is making her dreams come true. (Even if she had ulterior motives) Jack is a single dad of two and has not time for a girlfriend but when he sees Stevie for the first time everything changes. Stevie and Jack are opposites who fit so perfectly together. “Jack Harper just changed my life without even realizing it.”
This Crew has grown so much since the first book but Lacey does an amazing job of having each couple have a moment or two in each book. It’s so fun to catch up with the past couples! I cannot wait for the next couple! Thank you @laceyblackwrites for the ARC! Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥: “Way better than brownies,”
Another beautifully written love story from the crew. Lacey always gives her readers life situations that you feel like part of the crew. In Time for Change is Stevie and Jack's story. Stevie is a spirited ,resilient, strong woman who knows what she wants. She moves to Stewart Grove and gets her dream job at Burgers and Brew. Here she gets to know her lost siblings and of course Jack. Jack is a little older divorced and the father of 2. Still a sexy man. Despite the age difference these two finds ways to be together. Jack fights the attraction hard. He is a father first to his two kids. Stevie and Jack can't fight the attraction soon the relationship grows stronger ever day. Always on each other's minds. Shake and bake baby. Trouble is around the corner for Jack's preteen daughter. Stevie would never make him choose, so she did. There was no choice and soon their love for each other shines thru the difficulties. Working together with all the families new and old. Finding the start of a new family and their HEA. Sharing the love with each other and the whole CREW!!!!!!
Stevie has had a rough life. Being raised by “parents” and never really loved. When she turned 18 she knew she had to move away from the toxicity of her divorced parents. She’s now 20 and moved to a small town in Ohio named Stewart Grove. Applying to be a server at a well known burger bar, she’s nervous because she’s also hiding a secret that involves 2 people in that same town.
Single dad, Jack, has always been a hard worker but also a relationship type of guy. After his divorce he knew he had to put his kids top priority but he missed the companionship a relationship brings. When him and his best friend go to the burger restaurant he meets the new server, Stevie. He’s so instantly smitten but shy towards her. Stevie ends up leaving her phone number on his receipt. Now ball is in his court if he wants to take the next step and get to know this so woman who takes his breath away or remain focused on his kids and work.
Tropes: Age Gap (10 years) Small Town Single Dad Found Family Chosen Family
Way back when Ms. Black started this series, I was expecting 4 books (one each for the four best friends/chosen family who opened Burgers & Brew Restaurant and Bar) But there were soooooo many AMAZING secondary characters that NEEDED to have their stories told, I have LOVED every single one of the books that have come since! Now, with the ninth book in this series, Time for Change, we are introduced to Stevie Clement, who has recently moved to Stewart Grove and she packed a few secrets in her suitcase to bring along with her! She almost immediately gets a job as a waitress at Burgers and Brew....and then she meets divorced, older, single dad Jack Harper!!! The instant connection between them is obvious and it doesn't take long for the chemistry to kick in between them!
When Stevie's shocking secret is revealed, I actually gasped out loud! The emotions evoked, the pain and heartbreak but also the almost (but not quite) immediate joyful reactions! The roller coaster ride of emotions was AWESOME!
As for Jack, he's not looking to get involved at this point in life. He's happily divorced from his wife, amicably sharing custody of his kids and is concentrating only on raising them and growing the business he started with best friend Caden (who, by the way NEEDS his own book! *cough Adrienne cough*) When he meets Stevie for the first time, though? All bets are off and his internal struggle with his feelings made me fall hopelessly, head-over-heels in love with him! *sigh*
The characters in this series ALL feel so real! Lacey writes them in such a way that you FEEL like they are actually real and part of your life, not easy to do and seems to come effortlessly and seamlessly! I sincerely hope that this isn't the end for this series because it doesn't FEEL like the end! There's at least ONE MORE story that NEEDS to be told! I'm praying with everything in me that we get it! AND I am so not ready to let them go yet! Do yourself a huge favour and start this series and fall in love in Stewart Grove, just like I did!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.
The below are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first Kickstart My Heart (Burgers and Brew Crue #1) Don't Go Away Mad (Burgers and Brew Crüe #2) Same Ol' Situation (Burgers and Brew Crüe #3) Wild Side (Burgers & Brew Crüe #4) What's It Gonna Take (Burgers & Brew Crüe #5) Home Sweet Home (Burgers & Brew Crüe #6) Too Young to Fall in Love (Burgers and Brew Crüe #7) Without You (Burgers and Brew Crüe, #8)
This is Stevie and Jack’s story. She is trying to get away from her past. She is making new friends and has a good job. When she meets Jack the pull is instant. She just has to decide if the pull is too strong to fight after all her secrets could destroy anything good in her life. Can she chance it? But what is al her baggage is just too much for Jack? Can she let him go for the sake of his kids?
Loved this story with Stevie and Jack and the expansion of the Crue!
Stevie is as mysterious as she is sweet. Her arrival in town comes with big changes and a fresh start. She is focused on starting a new chapter of a life that, up to this point, has been filled with too little love. When he sits down in her section, he turns her heart upside-down.
Jack is a single dad and local business owner. He had neither time nor inclination to date. It hasn't really gone well for him in the past, and no one has even turned his head in far too long. Until Stevie. The young waitress is a breath of fresh air, and for the first time in a long time, Jack wants to take a chance.
This story is such a beautiful addition to the "found family" vibe of the Burgers and Brew series. The Crue is the best, and I hope Lacey Black just keeps adding characters (I want to see Christian's book now, and he's only 4!)

This book was read in one sitting and through out it, all I felt was peace and happiness. Stevie and Jack have an instant connection. He's a bit older, a little more experienced and thinks he's too much to take on. Stevie has not had an easy life, but coming to Stewart Grove feels like she's finally found her home. And being with Jack and getting to see if they could be more is icing on the cake.
Their connection is fast and exciting, but Jack has more than himself to think about and sailing off into the sunset might not be as easy as they would hope. But feelings they started developing are far too strong to accept defeat and soon everything elain and HEA is just around the corner.

Time for Change by Lacey Black Reviewer: Chelsea Rating: 4.5 stars!!!
This book brought us back to the Crüe with someone new! I have truly loved this series, so much, and was so happy to come back!
Stevie moved to Stewart Grove to start her life over, she expected change, but she didn’t expect to find herself having feelings for a man so quickly, or one who’s so much older than her.
Jack is not looking for anything, he content with his life as a divorced dad to his kids. He is happy to co-parent and has enough on his plate, but then he meets Stevie.
These two had soo much chemistry!! I legit loved them! Jacks kids were such a great addition to his relationship with Stevie and it made me fall for this couple even more!!
Another great book that I didn't know I needed from the Crue! We get a little surprise from Stevie which delighted me to no end. It made me so happy that Stevie finally gets to embrace what it's like to be a family. I love how the Crue welcome her into the fold as she starts working for Burgers and Brew. She also catches the eye of yummy single dad Jack. Oh my gosh Jack's son Christian is his mini me and so adorable! He cracks me up. His daughter is a sassy girl and let's her opinion be known. I gobbled this book right up. It made my heart happy to see what an awesome dad Jack is and how well his ex and him co-parent. I'm so happy to be back with this Crue. I'm beyond happy to know there is at least one more coming. I recommend this one. It delivers on the heat, heart, and humor. The characters just pull you right in.
I will say I haven't read all of the books in this series, but I don't think that matters. This is Stevie and Jack's story and it is beautiful. Stevie needed a new start in a new town and she got in the way of working at Burgers and Brews. She has a past that is for sure and she's secretive, but she needs to be to protect herself. Jack is a single dad who does everything he can for his kids, business, and friends. When he meets Stevie something happens to him like a pull he can't deny. But she's ten years older than her and knows he can't have her. Stevie though doesn't care about age, but she does care about his children. She will do what makes them happy even in breaking her heart, but it's more than that for her. She has a secret that could destroy her new life. Find out what it is and what happens. I loved this story.
Time for Change is a love story that has a realistic feel to it. Jack and Stevie's story is a age gap romance combined with a single father. Stevie takes a risk and moves to Stewart Grove looking for not only a fresh start but the one thing she has been missing her whole life, family and love. When she crosses paths with Jack a chemistry and connection that is unexpected is hard for these two to ignore. As secrets are revealed Stevie will find herself gaining a family that finally heals her heart. As Jack and Stevie find themselves on a journey of love, roadblocks will be placed in their way when Stevie must make a hard decision in Jack's best interest. As more than one heart is put on the line these two will find that love, passion and healing make such a big difference in finding their HEA.
Time For Change is book 9 in the Burgers & Brew Crüe series. This book follows Stevie, 21, a recent transplant to Stewart Grove with a shocking secret and Jack, 30, a divorced single dad and local man.
At first, I was wondering how Stevie and Jack fell into this big found family, but as the story progressed, it all made sense. I literally bawled and was jumping out of my seat when her secret was found out. It was definitely a fantastic surprise. I have so much I want to say about this story, but I don’t want to spoil anything!! Just know that if you have read the rest of the series, you will be screaming (in joy) along with me!!
This book started as 4 original friends and has expanded into this big, loud found family. The way this series is written, it feels like coming home with every book I read.
You will enjoy this book if you like the following: small town age gap single dad he falls first found family dual pov
You will not regret picking up this book! This book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.
Next up, we have Caden & Adrienne's story, and I am literally counting the months until it comes out!!!
