How will I know if this is love… The question asked by a few, unaware that they weren’t alone. The tale of a few lives intertwined by the same question with a few different unique situations. Before you fall for this set, remember… Love can be deceiving.
I liked this story even though the story took me through a few changes. The brothers called me and the ladies had my ear. The story kept me engaged. The wife was booty booty baby.. Lol.
The drama unfolds.. The beautiful thing about fiction is things we wouldn’t dare do in real life were green flagging it in books. This storyline takes me on a journey where there is multiple characters some who are in relationships they don’t want to be in. We have Cruz, Aysun, Sage and Wylde. Cruz father of two his son Junior meets teacher Ms.Hendrix and everything becomes love at first sight. Fck Luce even though homeboy is married (Cruz) to her the divorce should’ve happened a long time ago. Cruz is bae because he put his foot down with Sage ain’t no breaking up here. Now Aysun was in denial with Wylde I wanted him to stop pretending he’s unbothered when in actuality he isn’t . Wylde bookstore queen engaged to a ghost because her fiancé was nowhere to be found.. These two stressed me out with the back and forth. The trope is opposites attract/ slow burn so kudos to Kennedy for giving me patience and always delivering with unhinged book baes. I’m so happy everyone got their HEA and the villains were handled. Like Kennedy said this book was toxically beautiful.
There are authors who can capture your attention in just a sentence or two and those who I need at least 25-50 pages to know how I feel.
Instantaneous.
I knew instantaneously I was locked into where ever this story was going. With very little info on the book, Sage and then later the other characters had me hooked.
My fav was Wylde. I love a strong FMC and she is my favorite type.
Although the author called the men unhinged, I wouldn’t say they were completely unhinged. But more arrogant, in the best way, and also capable of graying the lines when needed.
The pacing was good, chemistry good, perfect amount of pages. Thank goodness no unnecessary rambling. Completely pulled me from my reading slump.
This was my first time reading this author, but I liked the storyline. The story did jump around quickly, but it wasn't bad to the point where I wanted to stop reading. One thing, though.. Wylde was getting on my nerves about how she dealt with stress. She always wanted to be alone but never figured out a solution. I couldn't stand that she listened to her mother for so long, as if Ettie had any room to give advice. Also, Sage.. I would've left Cruz alone until his divorce to Luce was finished. Him staying so long made him appear weak to me. It was almost as if he was afraid to rock the boat with Luce. He let her over stay her welcome. Good read though.
Aysunnnn! I really liked him. His vibe. From the very beginning. He was rough around the edges but was bout his business and sure and firm on how he went about life. Wylde hit him left field but sometimes that's exactly what you need. Luce was a dog ass mother and she deserved that smoke but I understood why it didn't go that way. Cruz was cool even though most people wouldn't agree on how him and Sage's relationship went about. This was a really good story that kept me up half night trying to see what happened next. Definitely recommend.

FRFR! Is this the end? This was not the typical one. Aysunn the one I didn’t think would want to be straight…..fooled me. Wylde put it on him and the rest is history. Cruz was dealt a bad hand but he kinda got what he was looking for until CJ’s teacher turned him into a whole new person. Thank goodness Sage loves kids. Great book. Was not ready for it to end.
I liked the story but it was kinda all over the place. A lot of unnecessary characters and character behavior that didn’t make sense. Each main character was likable but the sub characters had me asking more questions than anything. It also has me wondering if they came from different books. In either case the story was good but kinda feels like it’s missing some answers.
Thank you Kennedy B! I love your writing style! Your books are food for my soul! Aysun was so real and genuine. Your female characters are the best, strong, independent while still being soft and open to love.
I loved these couples!!! Luce was trifling and I was hoping she disappeared and took Wylde’s mama with her. Cruz and Sage we cute but Asyun and Wylde stole the show!!! Definitely need more on them.
Good read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wylde was unique and fly. She was two of chick Aysun needed. The plot was entertaining as the characters navigated their feelings.
Cruz and Sage were just not it for me. He just had the nerve to push his way into her life and she just let him. But the other couple let things flow naturally.
Kennedy B is a new to me author and she exceeded my expectations to a whole other level. I really need more at this point it was soo good. A really good on this rainy day.
I love when the male main characters be so against love and relationships, and then that one comes along and turns their world on its head. Such a great read!!
Ayshun and Wilyde were so cute! So glad that he broke all his rules for her. Cruz and Sage were goals too, Luce stayed around way too long with her trifling self.
And I appreciate that. Nothing extra just a good story not a whole lot of fluff. Two couples and only one side is connected. This was good and refreshing
