They say life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans—they’re right. My life changed trajectory the day I attacked the creep who stole my thesis and got kicked out of the prestigious University of Sciences in Boston. That sucked, but then the laws of physics betrayed everything I believed in.
Magic? Are you freaking kidding?
I’m a science geek. The world I live in is based in factual evidence and mathematical equations. The Scientific Method exists for a reason. It’s tangible. Explainable. Quantifiable. Until it’s not.
Armed with only my passion for math, an irritable crow, and a knack for setting things on fire, I’m thrown into a new life I never knew existed. Will I survive becoming a Magi? Will Boston survive me?
Book 1: Supernatural Disasters 1 part Academics + 2 parts Magic + 3 parts Fail = Disaster
Book 2: Occult Misdemeanors 1 dark secret + 6 furious wizards - one Magi mentor = Mayhem
Book 3: Arcane Felonies 1 missing mentor + a whole mess of nightmares + 1 stubborn Magi = Breaking some serious rules.
Bonus Novella: Quantum Claus Consumer marketing + the belief of children + holiday magic = Ho, Ho, Uh-oh!
This is one of the best urban fantasy series I've read
The confusion and frustration of Aisling at the start of the first book almost put me off but I was interested in how the magic worked. I'm glad I pushed through because the meat of these books is so tasty. I wish this universe could grow as big as the 1632 series. There is so much possibility in this universe. I'm glad the author is continuing to write here.
This series is great fun, beginning to end! Book 3 seemed to deviate from the first 2 books in the series, but then the creativeness of the author, brought it all together with totally surprising effectiveness!
Great story. When I reached the end of book three I had forgotten that there had been three books as it felt like one. Best magic book since the Line. Hoping for books five and six, as Asimov said of his “increasingly misnamed trilogy”.
