Would you marry the son of your dad's boss just to take care of your mother's health care problems?
Genesis didn't really have a choice in this. And when her future husband turns out to be the biggest asshole she has ever met, she surely wishes things were different. But she's clever and she uses him underestimating her as her ticket into his deepest secrets.
Which gets her to tropical islands, puts her life in danger and makes her a temporary foster mom to her husband's goddaughter.
But above all, it makes her fall in love with him. And that is mutual.
I thought it was great. I liked that it was a slow burn, but the burn hit and it wasn’t too much spiciness. I think their relationship in the beginning chapters could use a bit more development but it was good for an upcoming author. Some edits and you’ll be all good.
it was a good book I just had to keep reading very much enemies to lovers to complicated to bigger lovers. But the amount of grammer mistakes?? Not okay..
The book began on a good note with keeping the suspense present. I was very intrigued by how their relationship would work out in the beginning seeing as though Gael came off as grumpy and mean. But Ness stood her ground and I LOVE that for her but I did pity her for feeling defeated at instances.
This book has some incredible character development and throughout the book, the plot became more and more impressive which kept me hooked. The ending was so sweet and i teared up a bit which I haven’t done in a while LOL.
Really a good written book which could have been shortened just a tiny bit but the writing is really amazing and engaging to the reader which i LOVE. ❤️🔥
Gale and Genesis, Okay so there is a lot of fluff in here. I think if 1/3 was taken out, it would have been a higher rating. But nonetheless it was enjoyable, although it took some time to get through the tropes were good, and the characters were amazing!
I started reading this book on wattpad before getting a kindle subscription just so I could read the rest. So you can see how much I loved this book.
But it has its flaws.
First, 600 pages? It's super long for a romance and at one point I was bored. In the end the story quickly interested me and it was no longer boring.
Taking a step back, we see that this is a story that comes from Wattpad. I'm not saying this to say that it's rubbish and poorly written. Only that the format of the story corresponds entirely to what Wattpad offers. Which is perhaps not suitable for a book.
I don't know if it's clear, but on Wattpad I don't care about the number of chapters, plot twists and such? As soon as a chapter comes out, I read it and look forward to the next one.
Whereas when it comes to a book as such, it can quickly become heavy?
Far be it from me to say that Wattpad stories are not books. So I hope you understand what I tried to say.
The Gael/Ginny relationship was really great. I loved seeing them hate each other and then turn on each other. On the other hand I so hated the miscommunication that there was between them?? then the way Gael treated her?? no thanks.
it was about a millionaire/billionaire(?) who marries a woman he has never met and then suddenly we find ourselves with guns ? It surprised me a little as I was expecting to just read an ordinary romance.
I really liked how Ginny made friends with everyone. they end up becoming a family and it was beautiful to see.
Each character is endearing, we could quickly appreciate them. But sometimes they were fucked up.
I don't have much else to say, I just liked this read.
This was a great read. But the thing is there were a lot of mistakes in the writing such as: spelling errors, grammar mistakes. There were many times I struggled with knowing who is talking to who but I love Gael and Ginny it’s like an enemies to lovers but it was more on Gael because he “hated her”. Such a good story. Good job A.G. Brands! Also it was iconic to me that Ginny was wrong about the “boy” part LOL.
