This is my favorite book in the series. Blade and Joey made for a great pairing, but Katie, an infant, stole my heart. Joey meets Blade as he’s running away from the kidnappers who took Katie from her parents.
Joey stumbled upon them when they were kicking the baby to make her shut up and Joey rescues her and has been on the run since. He hides in a department store and the kidnappers are making a scene and the police are called. Guess who the police officer was who saved Joey? Blade
I liked the book as it seemed well-balanced with romance, sex, chaos, invasions, and Blade fighting for all their lives. Well, Joey didn’t sit on the sidelines helpless; he fought for Katie's protection and to save his Dragon, Blade.
There’s humor with Hong, the butler, which everyone rolls their eyes at, and other characters' input. Joey’s love for collecting as many carts as Blade will allow for the teasing nature between the two, the many miscommunications, and the wonderful love that develops between the two.
I, also, loved the ending and reading about their lives many years later. Anyone can start the series from here, book 4, but it’s so much better to follow the lives of these incredible men. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
