I write stories about the apocalypse so that I don't need to work a real job. I grew up reading Stephen King and still haven't fully recovered. I'm currently ending the world in my new series Under the Breaking Sky.

Intriguing science fiction. The story drew me in, and I ordered the new book coming out.

An interesting approach to storytelling through its interview format, but ultimately left me wanting more. As a prequel to the Break Sky series, I was excited to learn about the mysterious Blind Gods, but the story focuses primarily on the events leading to the sky crack phenomenon instead. The book effectively explains how the break in the sky occurred, but barely touches on the origin of the Blind Gods themselves, which was disappointing given the title. It's worth a read for fans of the series (which I am - of course - as I've read all the books in this series and am a fan of Nick Clausen because of them), but temper your expectations about learning the mythology behind the Blind Gods.

By far one of the best apocalyptic type series I’ve ever read. There’s 8 books in the series and I sped through them because I couldn’t get enough! Nicholas is an incredible story teller. His novels are full of substance and no fluff. I can’t think of one instance during this series or any of his others that I found myself skipping paragraphs because there was no purpose in them. No unnecessary details.
The character development in this series is surprising but makes sense. I love that no character is “safe” in his series. It makes the story unpredictable.

Not 4 stars for quality, just lack of content. This is a 41-page pdf that you get from a link in the end of the first book. It's a good little prequel that partially explains the cracks in the sky and why they're happening. It's read as an interview between John (from the book) in national security interviewing a witness to a massacre. It was a great little twist and a good idea that I haven't read before! Now, onto book 2 in the series.

Tells the origin of the thing that happens in Book 1. I hope Protagonist 3 which is featured here will regain memory of this in Book 2 since he did not seem to recognise anything in Book 1.
