When's Dinner?

When’s Dinner?” is a story about a rambunctious little kitty named Sophia who is always hungry and seemingly waiting for dinnertime. However, every time she thinks it is finally time, she is told she has to be patient—a virtue she struggles with dearly.

Follow along in this picture book as Sophia impatiently charges forward throughout the day in hopes of dinnertime. Plus, make sure to look at the clocks in the book to see what time she is really asking for dinner!

About the author

Tia Hapner-Tieman is a graphic designer and a three-time self-published children's book author/illustrator in Fishers, Indiana. Even though she is an introvert, she loves talking to people and making them smile. In her free time, she paints and hangs out with her favorite 'people' in the whole world - Chris and her three cats.

All of her books are stories based on her cats. "What's My Real Name" (2020) touches on how in a sea of nicknames and pet names, a cute, little kitty goes through emotions of anger, sadness, and defeat until he remembers who he really is. "What's That Noise" (2022) talks about scary noises and the message that it’s okay to be afraid, but you shouldn’t let fear prevent you from doing the things you love. And, in her newest book, "When's Dinner?” (2023),  a rambunctious, hungry, little kitty named Sophia has to “patiently” wait for dinnertime.
