Cruise to Cock Island

Rate this book
JJ
Four years in undergrad and two in law school have me over drunken trips to Mexico, so an adults-only cruise with my best friend sounds more relaxed after a grueling semester. What I didn’t expect was the cruise being mostly gay couples. I always love messing with Teddy, though…I’m sure we’ll find ways to have fun.

Teddy
When my best friend since we were freshmen suggests celebrating being only one year away from finishing our law degrees with a Caribbean cruise, I jump at the chance for a quieter vacation. I’m less impressed when JJ signs us up for a newlyweds game, but turnabout is fair play…

Take a cruise to Cock Island with two frat bros who get more than they bargained for when they pretend to be a couple on a pride-themed cruise... especially since neither of them is gay!

Pride Cruise 2024!
Where the water is crisp, the men are HOT, and the party has started! Each book is a standalone but feel free and dive in and binge them all. You won't want to miss a second of their naughty antics. If you think they're silly when the sun is up, just wait until it goes down.

I had super low expectations because let’s all be honest and admit the title is not the best. I can’t remember when or how or why I added this book to my TBR, but I had it and I was feeling in a silly mood, so why not?

This book was surprisingly wholesome and sweet, just 2 very codependent best friends who go on a cruise together and realize that maybe they love each other more than besties.

They were adorable together. I loved all their cute moments together and their declarations of love. Also, yay for nice and supportive families!

Read for the title, stayed for the idiots-in-love/they’re-basically-already-dating straight(?) frat boy besties who find themselves accidentally on a gay cruise and falling in love 🤸

I was assuming this was going to be a lot worse considering the title but it wasn’t awful. Not great, nothing memorable and not deep at all but I finished it 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I picked this book up on a total whim. Saw the title and thought it was funny and then I read the blurb and it sounded good so I gave it a try. I’m so glad I did because I enjoyed this story soooo much! How can you go wrong with a double awakening, fake dating, best friends to lovers romance!

I loved the James’! Both characters were so cute and I loved how they were together. I loved seeing their eyes open up to each other and for them to see how absolutely perfect they were together! My fav thing was seeing how dominant in the bedroom Teddy was. Totally wasn’t expecting that! And how Jamie always knew how to take care of Teddy. Was perfect!

They had a wonderful HEA and if you are looking for a fun, low-angst summer read then I highly recommend this story!

I really enjoyed this book especially sickre I love R.A.Fricks writing so much.

This fun and steamy friends-to-lovers romance takes you on a wild ride aboard a Pride-themed cruise.
The chemistry between Jamie and Teddy is amazing, and their journey from best friends to lovers is both heartwarming and hilarious.
I loved how they slowly discovered things together and tried all the hot and sexy things out (loved the docking part).

Let's be honest, I was interested in the book because of the title. I actually like the title so much, I had to buy the paperback version.

I'm glad it's not just a book with a fun title though, but actually a really sweet love story between two oblivious bff's.

I truly enjoyed the story and couldn't put it away.
It was adorable, the setting sounds beautiful, the family acceptance was so amazing and the sex scenes were hot. What else could you wish for in a romance book.

R.A. Frick delivers a best friends to lovers vacation romp that made me smile from start to finish... this book was a quick and light read that takes us from sweet besties to steamy lovers during the a Pride cruise that neither knew they were booked on...

I truly appreciated the only one bed, unexpected vacation trope and the newlywed style game was so much fun to read! This book definitely made me want to cruise with Pride and Cruise to Cock Island!

A really cute best friends to lovers
I loved that it was more about how they feel with each other that just lust. Sure, there’s experimentation, attraction and smut, but it’s also more, because they’ve known each other for years and are already close

Part of a multi-author series (Pride Cruise 2024), but can be read as a standalone. Best friends to lovers. Slow burn. Quick read. Dual POV.

Jamie and Teddy have been best friends for years, so the little hiccup of taking a pride cruise doesn’t stop them from enjoying their vacation. But pretending to be a couple has lines blurring and both men start to question if their vacation exploration is something more and whether they are willing to give it a chance once the cruise is over.

This was such a sweet story because the friendship between Jamie and Teddy seems so close and strong, they are supportive and caring with each other and already their personalities complement each other. Adding romantic feelings, mixed initially with lust, it is fun and swoony to see the love they feel for each other turn more intimate. A really entertaining read, I thoroughly enjoyed this low angst story of two friends discovering the love of their lives was beside them the whole time.

A sweet novella perfect for Pride!
Teddy and Jamie meet on the first day of college, and immediately become best friends. They room together, pledge together, and go on spring break together. When the time comes for them both to start law school, of course they get an apartment together. Teddy is quiet and reserved, while Jamie is more outgoing. Jamie brings Teddy out of his shell, while Teddy keeps them on course. They decide to do one last prong break together before their last year of law school. Jamie books them a beautiful cruise, but misses one detail: it’s a gay pride cruise and he’s booked them as a couple.
What starts as a joke turns real quickly, but can they maintain the facade without ruining their friendship?

Fun feel good read

When two best friends accidentally book a pride cruise, what could go wrong? Jamie & Teddy have been best friends since freshman year and do everything together, including vacations. When they accidentally go on a pride cruise, they realize maybe they have more than friendship. This is a best friend to lovers romance i can get behind these two just get each perfectly. Yes, they have slight freak outs, but not over the top. I just need to think. Let's be honest. We all need to think when certain things you thought were always true no longer are. It was a great quick summer romance.

Good idea, subpar execution

The idea was good but the execution didn’t land well. I honestly couldn’t feel the romance building between the characters and couldn’t really envision them together. There was some unnecessary drama added between the characters to try and give it some substance, but it just had me rolling my eyes. This is really a “just okay” read. This could’ve stayed in 3ish star territory but the grammatical errors help kill it, definitely needs another round of proofreads and edits.

I absolutely loved this book! RA Frick has given us this hilarious, sweet, accidental awakening with hot men, steamy encounters and fabulous characters. Teddy and Jamie are absolutely perfect together and I loved reading their journey (did I mention it was really funny too?) This was a great idea for a series - cruise ships and tropical destinations- being em on!!

Brilliant Love Story!

We bought this specifically for a cruise we are currently on from Seattle to Japan. My husband and I both loved this very much. It was fun to read together, remembering when we first met, fell in love and eloped in Hawaii. R.A. Frick is a great offer and I’m looking forward to downloading more! Thank you so much for your brilliant work!

Best friends to lovers

and on a Pride cruise, no less. Low angst, with the traditional gambit of poor communications, Frick relates the activities of the cruise while the boys discover themselves.

Great storyline, but I recommend not buying this book unless you’re ok with the grammar errors scattered throughout.
