After five years of taking on the world alone, Suzie Kaspar is starting to wonder if there's more to life than school schedules and a to-do list that never seems to end.

Like maybe a hot, commanding veteran who is built like a Viking god and makes Suzie's mouth water just looking at him.

But even though Connor makes her body sing with pleasure as he draws her deeper and deeper into his world of dominance and submission, she resists the urge to lay her troubles at his feet.

And when a family friend's devastating secret is uncovered, Suzie is forced to choose between trusting Connor with the people she loves most in the world...

Or playing it safe, alone, once again.

Karen Nappa is an Amazon bestselling author of Seasoned BDSM romance with HEA. Her books are available at the popular retailers and include series such as the Club Indigo series and The Quinn Quartet.

Immersed in the D/s lifestyle herself, she writes realistic albeit romantic stories. When not dominated by her cats or her Master (in that order—even if it earns her a spanking!), she loves going places to discover the stories waiting to be written.

She resides in the Netherlands with her dominant husband, two adult-ish sons—and whoever they might drag home with them—and, of course, her two Chausie cats. If she isn’t writing or texting with friends, she’s probably reading, running, or listening to heavy metal.

After Karen Nappa got the rights back to the Club indigo series, she gave James her loving attention, and having read his and Laura’s story,i knew i wanted to see what she could do for Laura’s sister,Suzie and Connor, who turns out to be exactly what she needs…..
I love how the author takes her time introducing people, and explains, quite naturally, within the story how certain aspects of BDSM work.
And with this beautiful story, she shows how much she’s grown as an author.

The way she describes not only Suzie and Connor’s feelings, but how she seamlessly weaves the way Suzie’s children feel about Connor within the story,is so relatable.
Because even though Abby accepts him quite easily,Tim has trouble doing the same.
He might still be a boy,but he feels he has to protect his mother and sister.
And with his best friend living in a bad situation, those emotions seem to influence his….

Not only that, but while Suzie may seem ready to explore her masochistic side, there are lingering issues that rise throughout her budding relationship with Connor.
And it’s not just a matter of moving forward after losing her beloved husband Richard.
Tim having trouble to accept him, doesn’t make things easier.
But she’s not trying to replace her late husband, she’s not trying to give them a new father.
She’s simply trying to find out if they can have a future.
Until she finds out she’s the only one that’s supposed to share her feelings, and be honest…..

And Connor….that man still struggles with his past, and has trouble letting other people in.
Seeing Suzie submit to Kate at Club Indigo stirred something in him,and he can’t help, but wonder if she’s the one he’s been waiting for.
Could she be the one to fullfill his sadistic needs and submit to him?
The more he spends time with her and her family, the more he starts to hope for….more.
But he has secrets, some of them dark, and he’s very reluctant to share them with his sweet rùnag.
And then it turns out he should’ve shared with her what he demanded she’d give him….his feelings as well as his honesty.

While Susie and Connor’s story was wonderful before,it’s so much richer now.
Karen Nappa captured their dynamic perfectly, and at the same time, she gave the people around them their moments in the spotlight.
Showing where they were in their lives, how they were doing, and how close they all were to eachother.
James and Laura,Dan and Beatrice, the people at Club Indigo, they were all there, and i loved seeing them again.
And i look forward to catching up with everyone at Club Indigo in their own republished editions, that’s for sure!

Trusted is the second book of the Club Indigo series. Suzie and Connor were such a great couple. With two children, Suzie had a lot on her plate and I really enjoyed how Connor helped her to discover that there is more in life than taking care of her children. I loved this book from start to finish.

She could trust him with her body, heart, mind but most definitely not her past….
Suzie Kaspar a widow for a number of years and yet although she has found being a single mother to be a struggle it has also made her a stronger person, that those children relied on her for everything she has been their rock, their safety net.
Even though her husband had been a good man he was not a strong character and she had been very self-reliant even then and had not realised how much she wished for a take charge man in her life until she witnessed how happy her sister was with her S/s relationship and the collaring ceremony she attended had brought this to the forefront of her mind.
Captain Connar is well known at Club Indigo and his proclivities as a sadist and his enjoyment of inflicting pain, he is looking for a submissive in the bedroom but wants a woman that is strong enough to act on her own mind and ideas, taking responsibility for everyday affairs. Returning from the war in Afghanistan has left him with scars that can be seen outwardly but the inward psychological scars are the hardest to treat and to live with?
Will Connor be able to show her how wonderful it will be to have someone in her life that she can lean on, that can help her in difficult situations and in sharing that trust of not only herself but her children as well help him to heal as well.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

After Trapped,i knew i wanted more, and i’m so glad my wishes were granted!
I love how the author takes her time introducing people, and explains, quite naturally, within the story how certain aspects of BDSM work.

In Trusted, the story of this closeknit community continues with Laura’s sister,Suzie. She’s a widow with two young children. After seeing her sister find her happiness, she has to wonder what it is with this BDSM,that Laura so enjoys.
Captain Connor, like James a member of club Indigo, likes what he sees when he looks at Suzie.
Could she be the one to fullfill his sadistic needs and submit to him?
After having to be the one in charge most of her married life,Suzie wants to find out who,and what, she is and they agree to find out together.

Connor, however, struggles with his past and has trouble letting other people in.
Which in turn is difficult for Suzie to accept if she is to trust him to care for her needs.....
On top of that, she has her children to take into consideration, how do they feel about a new man in her life?
And what happens when secrets are unveiled? Will their fragile relationship survive? Will their unique connection help them to deal, together?

I loved their story! And i was glad to get updates about everyone,to see what they were up to....
And i love knowing there’s so much more to come!

This is an interesting story about two solid, intelligent people – Connor and Suzie – who start a relationship when she begins an exploration of BDSM with him, and discovers she has submissive tendencies. The story is complex because of their backgrounds – Suzie is a widow with two children, thirteen and ten years old – while Connor is a retired Army captain who has experienced some terrible things in Afghanistan and Iraq. It takes time for the various issues to come out, and trust between them is a major problem – but their BDSM and sex episodes are well done. There are also other characters including a subsidiary story about a troubled young man who is a friend to Suzie’s son. The story is enjoyable and the characters were well-drawn, but it was a little slow.

First I want to emphasize that this can be read as a standalone book. I personally have not read other books in series and easy to follow characters interactions as each couple has their own story. The plot is good. I like stories that have strong emotions, good characterization and this one deals with the emotions generated by hard pasts and how the couple deal with their pasts and leading toward complete trust thryu BDSM. Please read if you like strong emotions and lots of heat.

Book 2 in the Club Indigo series & I enjoyed it almost as much as the first. This is a standalone read, so don't feel like you have to have read book 1 (Trapped) in order to enjoy this. That said, I did find myself a bit confused in the beginning with all of the characters & no re-cap as to who they are or what the relationships were. However, it soon settles down to only the major players for most of the rest of the story. Like the first book, this book does deal with some serious issues which gives the story some great depth that made it wonderful to read. Still enjoying this author & looking forward to more.

Suzie's story of finding her way in the BDSM world of Club Indigo where she meets Captain Connor, the Sadist. He shows her the pain/pleasure connection she never knew was the missing piece of the puzzle for her and their relationship sings!. He guides her masochistic journey as well as her growth to work she loves. Laura/James/Josh's tale would make a good novella on its own to avoid taking over this plot. Overall, the story was engaging and well told, but other family members' story lines distracted from Suzie & Connor.

Learning to Trust is Always Difficult

Suzie Kaspar had to make all the decisions and made sure she got everything accomplished in a timely fashion even before her husband became ill and died.

Now she has been widowed for five years with two children, and her life has not changed since her husband's death.

How nice it would be to finally be able to let go and let someone else fulfill their lives and responsibly. Allow that person to make all decisions and take care of business, and she would submit.

After attending her sisters collaring ceremony, she is impressed with her sister's happiness and wants to find happiness for herself.

At Club Indigo she meets Captain Connor, her Master takes her through her paces, introducing her to the beautiful world of BDSM gradually.

He is intrigued by this brave, remarkable strong woman the kind he had been trying to find. Everyone has preferenced right. He finally has found her.

However, they both have issues they have to learn to resolve, but they can both learn to solve them with each other.

I enjoyed this book immensely!

Can they make it work?

Yes! The second in the Club Indigo books is just as awesome as the first was. Trusted opens with the collaring ceremony for James and Laura, the main characters in the first book, and the focus in this book is on Laura’s sister Suzie who is intrigued by the lifestyle after seeing her sister thrive in it. After an exploratory non-sexual scene with a Domme at the club, Suzie scenes with and becomes involved with Connor. The story follows their relationship, Connor’s integration with Suzie’s children, and the dangers of a small deceit. This is another great story from Karen Nappa, the club is well drawn, the characters are real, and it leaves you wanting more – oh and the heat is sizzling.

Club Indigo is back for round two and it's good. This is Laura's sister's story.  To start, know that Susie is not submissive. I mean she's curious, and she wants to learn more, but she is not a submissive. Until she has a session at the club.  Then, maybe she's a submissive,  maybe she's even a masochist.  Who better to teach her than the Captain.  Scottish dominant, gorgeous, and a sadist. A match made in heaven right?  We'll see.  They've both had some knocks in life, maybe they can get past it together.

Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Absolutely loved the strength Suzie has to raise children and look after her husband before he died. Connor is a sadist he was at Club Indigo a BDSM club looking for a submissive and that is when Connor met Suzie.

How much fun to discover Suzie has a kinky side?
Since I was expecting for Chris to find his HEA, it was a big surprise she ended up with Connor. Probably an even bigger surprise for Suzie herself 😂.

This is book 2 of the Club Indigo series. You do not have to have read book 1, but it would be helpful to understand relationships. Suzie has been curious since the collaring ceremony for her sister Laura. She does a scene with a Domme and finds that she is not only submissive, she is also a masochist. She has a scene with Connor and that is a start of a beautiful relationship. There are ups and downs and a little intrigue, but in the end there is a HEA. I loved this book and I am looking forward to book 3.

This might be my favorite book I’ve read in the series so far. Though, there are times it’s a little tough to keep track of exactly whose head we’re living in from moment to moment. (I can think of at least six different viewpoints we see, and I’m pretty sure I remember there being a couple of others.) Suzie and Connor are complex characters that felt very real to me. Their problems, their mistakes, their vulnerabilities, even their successes and joys felt very grounded in this world we live in. And while I might not share a lot of them, they were relatable to me. I loved that Suzie is so very strong yet is able to yield. However, like her sister, her inability to graciously accept help sometimes drove me to distraction. I really liked Connor. I particularly liked that he’s not perfect. Both members of this relationship had learning and growing to do in order to get their happily ever after. And, as always, I love that this series focuses on more mature leading couples and presents a look at the Lifestyle where “safe, sane, and consensual” rule the day.

TRUSTED is the second book in the Club Indigo series, and this time we focus on Suzie, Laura's sister, and Captain Connor. Although Suzie was horrified when she saw Laura's cuff marks on her wrists, it turns out that Suzie likes the sharp edge of pain!

This book focuses on the two main characters as they learn things about each other and their relationship develops. There is a multitude of supporting characters, most of them known from book one, that help this story to move along.

Not only do we get Suzie and Connor's story but we also continue with Laura and James' too. In fact, I have no idea of knowing if the storyline with Josh is going to be in other books, but I'm seriously hoping so.

An excellent addition to the series that you can read as a standalone, although I would highly recommend you read it as a series just to ensure you get the most from the overall story arc.

Trust is the Key....

I have really enjoyed reading this series the characters are all believable with normal everyday problems in life but with the added joy of kink...
I love that the story gives good details about the lifestyle as it delves in the sadist and masochist side of both the main characters.
This series is so far a 5 star read from me, and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Learning To Trust - Hard Yet So Worth The Fight! Another Great Club Indigo Story!

Suzie and Connor's story is another hit for the duo, Karen Nappa and brings some very honest and open emotions to the table regarding 'real-life' issues throughout this second tale in the Club Indigo series. I really enjoyed single mum Suzie finding and accepting her inner masochist while also learning that her acceptance of help and support is not a bad thing. I loved how Connor was fighting his own personal demons and struggling to let someone in to help him heal. Together, these two make a perfect couple both inside and outside of the club. Abby and Tim are also beautiful souls you can't help fall in love with and hope Suzie and Connor find their HEA together!

For me, once again this was a great story but lacked detail in what was needed/wanted, while being overly detailed in other areas. At times it felt rushed and understated while with other parts of felt a bit slow and not really needed for the flow of the story. I agree with other reviewers that the side plot of Josh could have, and probably should have been a novella all of its own as it was certainly one of the areas that seemed rushed and glossed over, but I enjoyed that we still get to see James and Laura as they continue with their own struggles and finding their way through their own love and commitment to each other. Again, I think the challenge to write as a single author, never mind two, means if that it's a learning curve and as we see more of Club Indigo and it's members, I'm hopeful the details will smooth out. These challenges certainly don't detract from the stories themselves, simply frustrate me as I can see the potential for what Karen Nappa can and are trying to achieve with this series.

I'm looking forward to Paula and Jim in the next instalment but am also eager to see where Kate and Chris lead....if anywhere!!!! I think Karen Nappa have also teased Sonja's story too so I'm hopeful we will see so much more from what is turning out to be a great 'real-life' series with some very sexy moments in there too.

Although Trusted can be read as standalone, I'd certainly recommend reading Trapped first. Not only is it great to read by itself, it will help you understand as the familiar characters we are beginning to love continue to make appearances throughout Trusted.

aWidowed mom Suzie has struggled to take care of her family since the death of her husband. But with her sister (Laura, from the first Club Indigo book, Trapped) and her elderly father both finding love, Suzie is starting to take time for herself. All she knows about BDSM comes from her sister, and Laura's relationship with her Dom/husband James, but she's interested in learning more, and meets sadist Dom Connor at Club Indigo. However, a new relationship is complicated when kids are involved, and Connor will have to work hard if he wants to claim Suzie and her kids for his own.

Another wonderful book from Karen Nappa. In some books, it can be difficult to love a sadist, but not this one. Connor and Suzie have a wonderful, symbiotic relationship. Trusted also delves deep into the relationship between Connor and her children, one of whom does not like the idea of his mom dating. This is a great novel and the continuation of a wonderful series.

Don't Lie!

Suzie, Lauras sister was surprised when her sister accepted a collar from her Dom boyfriend. Being a widow herself with two children depending on her she couldnt see it herself. Then she tried a scene at a Club with a female Dom with a whipping. She was a Sub and liked pain/ pleasure. Meeting the Scottish Captain in Kilt and all, they also tried a scene. Maybe this could go somewhere.

Better

This is a continuation of her previous book Trapped. The story seemed to flow easier in this book. Suzie and Conner seem like a good fit. Didn’t see her love for pain coming but I am glad her masochistic tendency’s matched well with Conner’s sadist qualities. They make a great couple and I loved this book.

A beautiful touching story

Kleenex alert!! This story has so many layers that something is bound to have you reaching for a tissue.
SPOILER ALERT
This story is made up of a career soldier with war issues and clan issues back in Scotland, two teenage boys who are dealing with very personal troubles of their own, and a young widow with trust issues. I think the item that hit me strongest was Suzie's breakdown, when her sister said that she was playing a song that she played over and over when her husband died. I did the same when my husband died and this passage ripped my heart out. But never fear... there's a HEA for all involved. This is a story I can read over and over again and never get tired of it.

LOVE! Karen Nappa has a talent for writing BDSM romances that draw this reader in and have me laughing and crying as I root for each pairing to to get their inevitable Happily Ever After. I received an ARC of this book and enjoyed each and every "sweet and savory bite" so much so that I read it three times before attempting write a review that reflects my true love for the story, characters, and the wonderful author that brought them to life. Ultimately, I purchased a copy of the book and I know I will treasure it always. Ultimately, I purchased a copy of the book and I know I will treasure it always. James (Doms of Club Indigo Book 1) was my absolute favorite read of 2023, and I believe this book, Connor (Doms of Club Indigo Book 2) will be my favorite of 2024. The books in this series standalone but because many of the characters are family and appear in both books; I suggest you read and enjoy them in order.
