Lectio Divina is an interesting practice. The reading has really made me think about the way I read the Bible. Slow down, read alongside God. Unfortunately the book is heavily rooted in the Catholic traditions and language. It is also likely to be difficult for those in the western world to relate since we generally lack experience with the spiritual world. As a result, the practical aspects of the concept are not well conveyed.

It is a very basic introduction to Lectio Divina. I would recommend reading this in conjunction with Casey or Magrassi. Alone, I'm afraid it would fall short for someone genuinely attempting to incorporate Lectio in their daily life.
