I don’t remember who I am or how I got here.

But the alpha beast who torments me says I’m his.

Maybe I am.

Except the voice in the dark tells me I don’t belong here. That I should reject that monster.

It’s a voice that gives me hope that lingers long after he’s gone.

Enough hope to fight the hunger and the fear and keep clinging to the rage that’s keeping me alive.

So, I fight for my life for as long as I can. I fight until he comes back.

Just as I knew he would.

My guardian angel who promised to save me.

Who’ll wipe away the nightmares and bring the light back to my world.

Gage Heller says he wants to protect me. To share his fate with me.

He says he wants to claim me as his mate.

I long for that more than anything.

It’s what I was made for, after all.

But I left that evil place with a secret I can’t share.

And if he figures it out, he’ll never see me the same way.

I have to go.

So, I harden my heart, give up my dreams.

And without looking back, I head into the night.

“Alpha Fate” is the second in a series of interlinked but standalone romance stories featuring bold, sassy heroines and the wolf shifters who are strong enough to handle them. HEAs are guaranteed.

After two decades as a journalist, B.E. Brouillard made the leap to fiction. It was time to create the dark stories that had lurked in her mind for all those years. Tortured souls, flawed lovers, dysfunctional behavior...her characters are not for the faint-hearted. Having said that, many readers will find common ground with the less-than-perfect heroes of these stories. In spite of a mild case of cynicism, Brouillard remains a staunch romantic - Happily-Ever-Afters are guaranteed.

A child of the global village, Ms. Brouillard loves Paris, Africa, sushi, and champagne. When she's not wordsmithing dark debauchery, she spends time with her beautiful men, their German Shepherds, and her pack of killer ponies. Or drinking martinis with friends.

Alpha Fate drops you straight into confusion, fear, and feral wolf‑man chaos — and honestly, it works. Our girl wakes up with no memory, no clue who she is, and an alpha beast claiming her like she’s his personal property. Romantic? Absolutely not. Terrifying? Oh yes. But there’s this voice in the dark telling her she doesn’t belong there, telling her to fight, and that tiny spark of hope is the only thing keeping her from giving up completely.

She clings to that voice like it’s oxygen. And then he shows up — the so‑called guardian angel who promised to save her. Enter Gage Heller, who is basically danger wrapped in muscles wrapped in “I will burn the world down for you” energy. He wants to protect her, claim her, share his fate with her, and she wants that more than anything… except she’s carrying a secret that could blow everything up.

The tension between them is delicious. It’s that intense, aching, “I shouldn’t want you but I absolutely do” kind of chemistry that makes you read faster just to see who breaks first. Gage is all growly devotion and barely contained violence, and she’s this mix of fear, longing, and stubborn survival instinct that makes you root for her instantly.

But the moment she realizes her secret could change the way he sees her, she does the heartbreaking thing — she leaves. She gives up the dream, hardens her heart, and walks into the night like the tragic heroine she absolutely is.

This book is darker than the first, more emotional, and way more intense. It’s trauma, healing, desire, and danger all tangled together, and it never lets up. I inhaled it in one sitting because putting it down felt illegal.

A solid 4 stars for a story that hits hard, burns hot, and leaves you desperate for the next Shadow Wolf to step out of the shadows.

This is a wonderful read and I recommend the plot and the scenario highly to other readers
I wake up with no idea where I am or how I have got there and I know that I have to fight hard to remain alive and healthy waiting for the Guardian Angel that promised me that if I waited, he would return and here he is to keep his promise.
Gage Heller has stated that he intends to keep me safe and to protect me at all costs and he has not failed to keep his word. He wants to claim me as his mate which had been unexpected initially and as much as she wants to agree she has a secret that she knows he will not accept
Gage Heller says he wants to protect me.
To share his fate with me, she dearly wants to accept his offer but fears that if he discovers the secret, she is hiding he would never view her the same way again.
I hope that you will enjoy every moment of this book In the same way as myself, I trust that you will enjoy this book as much as myself.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the r

Second installment in the shadow wolves series. Gage is captured by a pack of rogue wolves and thrown in a cell together with who he assumes is his pack leader’s mate but turns out to be her twin sister.
Savannah doesn’t remember anything, not even her own name and anything beyond the cell she’s been living for the past month so when she is rescued and goes to live with her sister and begins to frequent Gage she is in Heaven. Some memories begin to come back and she must decide whether to let go of the past or face it. Will Gage accept her and that past that will so strongly influence her future?
Next book is about Edirn, a mysterious wolf who has a relevant role in this story.
Once again ms Brouillard surprised me with a plot twist I never saw coming.
This book has a strong sense of family and belonging and Savannah is driven to do the right thing even if it might jeopardize her future happiness.

A good read until the last chapters

This book two picked up after the first. Gage was kidnapped, whilst gathering information on the pack’s enemy, and put in a cell next to Sierra, or do he thought. Immediately Gage is concerned and wondering how Sierra was kidnapped too. This young woman has been drugged and has no memories. She does not remember her own name. Gage promises to help get her out too. Their journey begins there. The issue that I have with the lead female character is that she puts herself in danger right after just being rescued. She takes off from the compound and safety. Then she heads into an abandoned building. What are you thinking? Next she is re-captured by the enemy again. This story was done for me, because that was practically the end of the book. I could not read anymore about this lead female, so I just skipped to the end. Which was only a few pages before the epilogue which belongs to Casey and Edirn, the next couple.

This is the second book in the series with Savannah and Gage.
It continued from the first book with the same characters which I really enjoyed.
Gage was imprisoned by the rogue pack where he finds Savannah but thinks it is his Alpha’s mate Sienna. He has no choice but to escape leaving her behind but with the promise that he will return for her. Savannah has been kept drugged so has no memory of her own identity or that she has a twin.
Once Gage manages to return to his pack he realises who Savannah is and makes good on his promise to return for her.
Lots of twists and turns in this one and once again a nice opening builds for the next book.

Savannah can't remember who she is. She has been kidnapped and kept drugged. Gage was kidnapped while trying to do recon in the evil alphas compound. Gage ends up in the cell next to Savannah. Gage thinks it's Sierra in the cell because the two are identical twins. Gage escapes and promises to come back for Savannah. Gage is able to rescue Savannah but she has a lot of healing to do. Gage is a dominant alpha, but a good guy underneath. Can he control his urges enough to give Savannah the freedom she needs? Another great book in this series. Sexy and dark.

I have been so excited waiting for this book.

I loved Gage and Savannah, although she made a questionable choice there near the end that made me roll my eyes.

I didn’t like Sierra at all in this story. She referred to Gage as “that horrible man” and never took that back making her sister hide her feelings.

As always a happy ending for a couple that were perfect for each other.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Alpha Fate by B.E Brouillard
Overall Score ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Heat Level 🔥🔥

We are introduced to Gage in the first book, Alpha Bond, and honestly I didn't have super positive feelings toward him in that one. But we see an entirely different side of him with Savannah and he just makes me swoon. It was such a journey to watch Savannah come back to herself and have Gage there to support her. I'm excited for Casey's story next!

She may have no memories of who she is but she knew she did not belong to him. They bully her and tries to bend her will to his. She knows if she keeps the fate he will come to get her. He does but she now she has a secret. She will run into the night rather than tell her secret. What will happen next? How will it all go? See how will it all go

I enjoyed Gage and Savanah's story. I felt more of a connection between them than with the first book. Even with all of the obstacles, they still found a way to each other. I'm excited to read Casey and Edirn's story to see if she can get past her hatred about where he came from.

This had all the feels, adventure, steam and a great storyline. Savannah and Gage were perfect together. To see Savannah grow and come to be who she is was very rewarding. The story is really different than you expect. This next book will be great! Thanks for the adventure.

Least favorite plotline

I absolutely hate when stupidity and lack of communication create a climatic drama that spins to a favorable ending. Two people bonding and facing adversity together would have been easy enough here, but we got the stupidity/separation theme instead. Liked the characters and storyline well enough.

Love Gage! But this one was missing something. I don’t know if it just was way too insta love or what. Savanah was a lot like Sierra personality wise. It was fun but not as good as the first one. Excited to see Casey’s story next, live that bad bitch!
