Talk about a love/hate relationship, Hannah and Mason are like oil and water except they can't stay away from each other. So when Hannah asked Mason for help in locating her sister, he obviously tells her no... No he decides to torture himself instead by having her around his shop. I love this book and I love this series, this series is what made me a Jessi Hart fan, I can't wait to see what you have planned next!! If you're looking for an enemies to lovers, really good banter and characters who just need to "get on with it" already, this is a book for you.

Two words—the spice. The author is always very good at offering spice. This is the third book I’ve read by her and she always manages to leave each book off on a semi cliffhanger to get you ready for the next book.
If you’re looking for a modern romantic suspense book with spice and tons of action and plot twists this is the book for you!
I would actually recommend the entire never after series if that’s what you’re looking for!
There are a lot of serious themes in this book so if you’re sensitive definitely mind your triggers but if not dive right into the world she’s created!

Hannah is the governor of California’s daughter and is supposed to be this perfect princess hence the nickname “California’s Princess.” Mason, is a bad boy who is older than her and someone Hannah’s mom despises.

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved both of the MC’s personalities and they blended so well. Mason is the a morally gray man and grumpy…honestly what more can you ask for from an MMC. Mason is THE PERFECT BOOK BOYFRIEND. He’s unhinged at moments but also secretly a romantic (*kicking my feet*).

Personal Notes:
This is the first book I’ve read from Jessi Hart in this series and it was wild in the best way. I’ve read a lot of dark romance books but this book had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book.

Mason and Hannah had me in a chokehold and I’m a sucker for a forbidden romance story and their character growth individually and together was so good. I loved all the small touches and scenes of comfort throughout the book. I was hit with so many emotions some scenes had me kicking my feet while others had me sobbing. I also love that he calls her “little doe.”

Overall, I am so thankful that I was able to read this story before the release date and I would highly recommend anyone to read this book once it does get released.

Jessi Hart delivers Dark Romance in a way that’s utterly addictive! Mason is the perfect embodiment of everything you shouldn’t want, but everything you crave. From the moment he saw Hannah, she was his, and their bond was so intense they’d destroy the world for each other—and almost did. There’s so much depth in the story, but I still found myself wanting more, probably because it gave off those Black Dahlia vibes 🤔 🖤

And as for the Never Deal with the Devil cliffhanger—let's talk about that finger🖕! I couldn’t stop wondering what happened to Melissa, and I never could’ve imagined where that finger would lead. I didn’t see some of what happened coming. That family has some serious issues, to put it mildly!

That cliffhanger was intense, and the teaser for Never Fall for an Angel has me hooked. I can’t wait to find out what happens to Mila and how Christian makes his way back into her life.

This is the fourth book in the Never After series. Each book is an SA featuring a different couple and a HEA. Told from a dual POV, I couldn't help but fall for the characters, and the past and present format gave great detail to their relationships.

Hannah is the daughter of the governor of California, but "California's Princess" is not who people think she is. She's on the search for her missing sister and has turned to her last resort, Mason. He's grumpy to her sunshine, a mechanic who just wants to keep her at arms length. Both want to see Missy, Hannah's sister, found but for vastly different reasons.

This book has so many twists and turns, and secrets are revealed along the way. Some enemies are obvious, while others lurk in the shadows, leaving the reader wondering about the end game. The slow burn is perfect in this enemies-to-lovers romance. The tension between the two was spot on. I love the banter and the growth we see between Hannah and Mason. The spice was off the charts, and I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happened next.

This book is perfect for dark romance readers who like mystery, touch her and di* vibes, a morally gray MMC, spice, and enemies to lovers. The ending made me want more, and I can't wait to read the next book, "Never Fall For An Angel."

I received this book as an ARC and it is the first book I have read both within the series and by this author. What an intro! This book had suspense, banter, slow-burn romance (but once it burns, trust me, it BURNS), betrayal, and mystery all wrapped under one cover. If an author can successfully pull off a few plot twists, then they are a winner in my book and that’s what Jessi is for this book. A few of them were obvious (to me) but the others were truly out of left field and left my mind reeling. I will say that for a dark romance, this book felt more tame than some I have read. The darkness was featured more outside of the relationship rather than within the romance itself, but for Hannah and Mason’s story - it works. “Call it whatever you want. Toxic. Loyal. I don’t care. For once, it feels good to finally meet someone who feels as deeply as I do.” That one Hannah quote summarizes their relationship quite well. Mason is the epitome of touch her and you d*e, whereas Hannah’s obsession manifests differently(don’t want to give anything away 😉). Some people might view it as toxic or extreme, but really they just feel so strongly for one another that they would truly burn the world to keep the other safe. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series, especially Mila’s story as well as Savannah’s!

How can you not fall in love with Mason and Hannah story? I love the way Jesse Hart wrote their love/hate relationship. Two total opposite people who are made for each other. Perfection Jessi!!!

Hannah is looking for her twin sister, Misty, aka Melissa. The only person who she can trust that would help her is no other than the one man who broke her heart, Mason.

Mason has tried to keep away from Hannah, the daughter of the notorious and crooked governor of California. Yes, Hannah mom is not innocent in this story. Truth and threats come to light for Hannah, and they come from the people she least expected it to come from. Hannah has a heart of gold and is just too trusting, even though she knows deep down things are not right.

Mason has loved Hannah and is obsessed with her. He knows the danger associated with helping her and being with her. He goes all in to protect his woman because he is not letting her go this time.

I loved the suspense, the bickering between Mason and Hannah, and let's not forget the attraction between the two....

Yes, I wanted more, and I hope we get to see a glimpse or two of Mason and Hannah in the next book. I gave this read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and who can not deny how Mason brought on the spice with his love Hannah 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶.

I fell hard for this book. Having never read Jessi Hart before nor reading the previous books in this series, I quickly picked up who the characters were, how they related to each other, and enough of the backstories that I could easily piece together what had previously transpired and how we got to where we are with this story. Hannah and Mason are complicated, messy, slightly toxic, and so beautiful together. Hannah has always had to be the perfect daughter, the perfect woman, the perfect everything and I loved how Jessi was able to articulate how damaged her mindset was from all that pressure put upon her by her evil mother and horrific twin. Melissa was masterfully created to be the epitome of evil in the thinly veiled guise of a victim. Mason is strong and steady and so twisted up with his uncomplicated complicated feelings for Hannah that he is ready to create scorched earth to make her his and protect her whatever the cost. Having Hannah be at peace with the knowledge that family isn’t always blood and that blood doesn’t have to equate to family helps her heal from the trauma and abuse that she has have to bury for her entire life. Well done Ms Jessi Hart and I cannot wait to read more by you!

My love for dark romance just grows deeper and deeper with each one I read☺️ Mason and Hannah keep trying to fight their attraction to each other and the moment they give in is just🤌🏽 Mason is reluctant to help Hannah at first but he knows he has to. Hannah just wants to find her twin sister and if that means working for the moody, grumpy Mason Carpenter then so be it. I loved that it kinda picks up where Never Deal With the Devil left off. The plot twist at the end shocked the hell out of me but it was so good. I can’t wait to see where we go for Mila and Christian’s journey🥰

There's a lot to recommend this story, but it really needed an editor to help streamline the repetitive inner dialogue and check for logic. I wouldn't classify this as a slow burn...just slow. It was so so so repetitive! The same thoughts were expressed by both leads at least a dozen times in a dozen chapters. You don't have to beat your readers over the head with how uncomfortable these two are with starting a relationship. Even the phrases were copy/paste. Because of the repetition, it slowed progression of their relationship and it ended up feeling really thin.
The other major issue is Hannah and the motivations of her family. It was difficult to deal with her head buried in the sand for so much of the book. She knew better and made too stupid to live choices all the time. I was also so invested in all the mystery threads only to have not many of the answers make sense. The longer I sit with the ending, the more unsatisfied I feel.

This book is fire! It is full of mystery, suspense, romance, and spice. Both MCs would burn the world for the other, and their obsession with each other is a huge part of what makes this book so good. I love that there is an element of mystery and suspense added to their love story with the FMCs missing sister - there are twists and turns galore, and I did not see a couple of them coming. I love a good romantic suspense book, and this one does not disappoint! This is the first book I've read in the Never Ever series, and I will definitely be reading the others.

This is a dark romance, so please read the trigger warnings and make sure you are comfortable with the content prior to reading.

Wow! This book gives EVERYTHING! There is mystery,angst, a slow burn enemies to lovers romance that is 🔥🥵

At first mason is the guy you want to hate in every way and Hannah is such a princess she is annoying but their banter and obsession with each other and then how mason refuses to give up on Hannah - plus the added mystery ofa missing sibling - the book draws you right in to their world and you feel everything right along with them

Although it’s a stand alone it’s also #4 in the never ever series (and I will be going back and DEVOURING every single book!)

This is a dark romance so defo read the triggers, that said for those who like that kinda thing (me!! 👋🏻), you are gonna want to pick this up again and again

Never Dig Beneath a Grave is an enemy to lover's romance that is filled with suspense and mystery that kept me on my toes. I thought I had it all figured out but as soon I turned the page, I was left second guessing myself. Hannah and Mason are complete opposites but with Mason being the only person Hannah can trust and rely on in a world filled with so many secrets and deception Mason becomes protective and possessive which give us the banter as well as some great spice. Never Dig Beneath a Grave is a book you will most definitely want to read but as always be sure to check all triggers beforehand.

But guys! I was obsessed! I loved the dynamic between the MCs and their stories! The story line was AMAZING, I was on the edge of my seat so many times! So many emotions went through me while reading this book! Tears may or may not have been shed. I definitely recommend this book to all the dark romance readers out there!

The forbidden romance really did it for me here. The dark Romeo and Juliet-esque story was captivating and beautiful. And Mason's love and obsession with Hannah is passionate, it's everything I crave in a touch her or you'll die. The plot revolving around learning how family can do horrible things, but that doesn't define who you are is really touching. The chemistry and steamy scenes with Hannah and Mason are top tier. Definitely recommend adding this one to your TBRs!!!!!

Start out with Hannah coming to her hometown to get help from an old friend to look for her twin sister who is in a lot of trouble right now with the wall we find out that Hannah and Mason have a past that’s very strong both of them. It’s a very love-hate relationship as time goes on with Mason, helping her look for her sister. Things developed between the two of them. We also find out that Hannah and Melissa‘s mother is behind all the illegal things that are going on and who killed him who’s been hiding where and who’s been doing who.

I’m not typically a big dark romance reader but this book actually made me want to start getting into them more! I loved the main characters and how Mason just never gave up on Hannah no matter how much trouble it got him into. It definitely keeps your mind going guessing what is going to come next. ARC review: Overall the book was good. Advertised as a dark read, however, it is not as dark as I expected. It was hard to follow at times, but that was probably because I had not read the other books. I did fall in love with Mason and felt his love for Hannah was what made him into the man he was. Words cannot express just how much I loved this book. It was amazing. This is the story of Hannah and Mason, …. And oh Mason, lol. What a well written, thoughtful and sensual man. I really never wanted this book to end. Hannah is abused from an early age by her psychopath mother and Mason is the man who saves her more than once. Both characters were well written and the plot was as well. Highly recommend.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

LOVED THIS BOOK, MMC MASON is just everything I love in an Alpha, strong, determined, touch what's mine & you'll regret it but he's NOT an Alphahole, I love how he stands up to Hannah's Mom & doesn't care what the mom thinks of him but mostly I love how he helps Hannah's Heal & discover her true self since her mother & evil twin sister did her no favors when she was growing up. Damn, the constant push and pull between these two have me on the edge of my seat! Chapter 40 was freaking monumental! Holy freaking cats! When everything falls apart or in place rather, the Rollercoaster it had me on had me in a chokehold. The depravity that goes on in this is legit. It is physically scary. Nothing is ever what it seems! You think you know someone until you dont! This would make a fantastic movie if they could capture everything about Missy. IYKYK! Freaky!
