No one ever said finding buried treasure would be easy, but the drool-worthy rock star helping me might just make it fun.
I’ve never been one for big dreams or wild adventures. I love my small life, working just enough to have time for my art. The only thing I’ve ever really wanted is my sisters all together again.
Now, I have that, but they’re drifting apart, caught up in their own lives and loves. Learning more about the father I barely remember might just be the key to bring us all closer than ever. Even if it means stepping out of my comfort zone and into the dark, scary woods for what could be a wild goose chase of a treasure hunt.
When I find out the man I’ve chosen to help me is a rock star in hiding, a rock star whose big dreams include me, I’m terrified. I’m falling for the purple-haired, gorgeous musician but I’m not sure I can handle all the attention that comes with his stardom.
Is true love worth losing the chance I have to bring my family together?
Katharine Sadler lives with her husband in North Carolina. She’s been writing since she was ten and has wanted to be a writer even longer. When she’s not writing or otherwise gainfully occupied, she reads like it’s an addiction, exercises, skis whenever she gets the chance, and adds more books to her Amazon wish list.
I’m primarily a dark romance reader. However, Katherine is one of those authors that I will come out of the dark for any day!
I have loved every book in this series. They are fun, cute, and sometimes emotional reads. This book gave a lot of closure to the series as the books are interconnected. It was great to learn more about Honey and see her get the bond she wanted with her sisters. Jaxon was a great person to meet. I laughed out-loud at some of the stuff Bigfoot has done throughout these books!
I’m excited to see what comes next. I know we got a bit of Levi this book and I can’t wait to learn more!
Seek and Cherish is the fifh book in the Sanctuary series. While it can be enjoyed as a standalone, I would strongly recommend starting from the beginning. Each book in this series has been a small town contemporary romance featuring one of the Weston girls. This one is about Honey(suckle) Weston and Jaxon Hayes.
Honey is the youngest of the Weston girls. She remembers when they were kids, and they all hung out together... except her. She feels like she missed out on that and really wants to have a chance to hang out with her sisters, everyone getting to know one another as adults. While the end of their year of forced cohabitation (to receive their inheritance) is quickly approaching, she doesn't feel any closer to them.
They found an old treasure map left by their grandfather, and while her sisters wanted to just discard it, Honey hopes that she can locate the treasure hidden in the Catalpa Creek woods and bring her sisters together for an unforgetable group bonding activity. The only problem is, Honey is terrified of the woods so she needs someone who knows the woods really well and would maybe just look for the treasure without her.
Jaxon Hayes is a rock star. He's been hiding out in Catalpa Creek due to some bad press, but at the same time, he has been posing as Bigfoot while running through the woods. Honey knows her sister Clover and her boyfriend Asher are friends with Bigfoot. As such, she decides to reach out to him for help. Unfortunately, he's not keen on the idea. Honey needs to convince him to buy-in to her idea, and also keep her heart from falling for the mysterious man hiding out in the woods. Nothing good can come from falling from someone clearly in hiding.
This was a sweet ending to the series. I enjoyed reading Honey's story. While she has definitely grown up, in many ways she's still a little girl. Her longing for what she missed out on when she was younger holds a lot of space in her heart. While you can look at her situation and just tell her to grow up and get over it, there's something sweet and special about her love for her family and her need to bring them back together. She's definitely an interesting character who appears to be somewhat cold and hard on the outside but is soft and squishy on the inside. She is strong and determined and quite passionate about what she wants.
I will miss the Weston sisters, as well as Barley and Begonia. While I'm sad that we've reached the end of this series, I was delighted to read that another series set it Catalpa Creek is forthcoming and will star the Weston's courins - the Sullivan brothers. The first book is expected Spring 2025 and I'll definitely be looking forward to diving into that one!
Honey and her sisters are all staying in their childhood farm to fulfill the terms of their father’s inheritance. Honey, the youngest of the five sisters, always felt left out. By the time she was old enough to join in with her sisters, they were old enough to go off to school or pursue their life away from the farm. Honey is so pleased to be reunited for this year of living together. Except, all her sisters have found love and are pursuing their careers in Catalpa Creek. Honey decides she needs to look for the buried treasure they’ve always heard their great-grandfather hid. Then when she finds where it is, she can ask her sisters to go with her on a hick and stumble on the treasure. The perfect plan – except Honey is terrified of hiking in the outdoors due to an old boyfriend, Dell, who abandoned her in the forest at night. But Honey is watching Bigfoot – she knows it isn’t actually Bigfoot, but someone dressed as Bigfoot – and is convinced she can find out where Bigfoot lives and persuade them to be her hiking guide as Bigfoot is intimately acquainted with all the trails and can help locate the treasure. She discovers Jaxon and is immediately attracted to him. Unbeknownst to her, Jaxon has been watching Homey at the farm and is also attracted to her. As things progress, can Honey and Jaxon find the treasure? And can Honey find the relationships with her sisters and continue to hide a big secret from her past? Lots of fun, laughs, and love as well as confronting the past.
This was a fun conclusion to this series about sisters. I enjoyed the story. It had a good romance and great characters. I love the premise of this series. Honey and her sisters were living together for a year in order to earn a large inheritance from their estranged (and obviously deceased) conman father. Desperate to have time with her sisters, each distracted by their own lives and loves, Honey wanted to find a hidden family treasure to draw them together through the activity. “Schemes and elaborate plots are the only way I know to hold onto anyone.” She enlisted the assistance of the reclusive Jaxon for his knowledge of the local forest. But both had secrets, pasts, and unclear futures that threatened their deepening feelings for each other. Honey and Jaxson were really lovely together. “I say, ‘I love you so much I’m afraid I’ll explode.’ And he says, ‘I love you so much, I’ll find all the pieces and put you back together again.’” I enjoyed the sister relationships. The treasure hunt and some other elements added extra interest to the story. I walked into this series at the book right before this one and was a little perplexed by the Bigfoot subplot. It makes a lot more sense now, lol. Everything is explained well and this story could be read as a standalone if you really want to. A new series is set-up a little in this book. This is a detailed open-door romance with innuendo and occasional strong harsh language throughout.

This fifth and final book in this series is just so good! It is a beautiful read about the youngest sister, Honey, and Jaxon, the pop star she enlists to help her find a treasure. Honey has know idea who Jaxon is, in fact, she knows home as Bigfoot and Mac. Honey knows he’s lying, but since she has secrets of her own, she doesn’t press too hard. They grow closer and they fight it because he is leaving soon and she is focused on the treasure and her sisters. Her main goal is to try to get a relationship with her sisters that she missed her whole life. I said it when I read the first book of the series and I still believe it now that this is just as much a love story between the sisters as it is between the main characters. Outside factors make things difficult on both fronts and Honey knows that time is running out. She deals with self doubt and her past life choices and isn’t great communicating her needs. There were times I was so frustrated with her and times my heart broke for her and other times I wanted to rant at her sisters too. There are plenty of lighthearted and funny moments along the way and some nice spicy scenes to enjoy as well! I will miss this series that I loved so much, but I am so very happy about the spin off series that is coming!! Hopefully, we will get some visits with the family from time to time.
Katharine Sadler's imagination, humor and writing style always calls to me, and when a new release is announced it is no time till I am reading it. Each book in the Sanctuary Series has been a wonderful mix of family dynamics, humor, emotions, as well as presenting the challenges and fears that we all face when we open our selves to love. This book was no different, as the last book in the series, it brought to light a lot of the clues, causes, and jokes that have been hidden in plain sight all along but which I, like all the Weston Sisters, didn't quite put together as we first found them. Finally Bigfoot is revealed along with revelation of the mystery of the Treasure! Also we got a wonderful showcase of Honey as her own person rather than seeing her only through her perceptions and as a side character in her sisters's stories. Honey and Jaxon were the perfect couple to end to a wonderful series, but fear not there is another spinoff coming and if you can't wait that long check out Catalpa Creek that this series spun off from!
Absolutely loved Honey and Jaxon.Did not want to put it down. I have loved the Sanctuary series and the Weston sisters. Honey just wants to spend time with her sisters. She wants to find an old hidden family treasure and thinks it will bring them all together. Honey has a past she doesn't want her sisters to find out about. She asks Jaxson for help.He agrees in the end. The chemistry between them is scorching.Jaxon has his own secrets. They both bond over Barley and Begonia the goats, who are absolutely adorable. Honey and Jaxson fall in love, but when their pasts catch up with them they both go their separate ways. They do get to their happily ever after. Wanted to hug them both especially Honey.Loved how overprotective Jaxson was so swoony. Also catching up with Honey's sisters love lives and all the gang was amazing. Cannot wait for the Sullivan's siblings next.Hopefully will not have to wait long.

My Review: This was a such a fun book, the perfect summer read! I was gripped from the very first sentence. There was a great balance of romance, humour and sister bonding moments.
There was also a good amount of adventure, some self discovery, and the importance of building stronger and healthier relationships. The complicated reality of what a relationship between sisters can be, was showcased so well throughout this book. Honey and Jaxon were a fun and cute couple. It was wonderful watching their romance grow.
Even through I didn’t read the previous books in the series, I still really enjoyed this story. I didn’t feel like I was really missing out on anything super important. But after enjoying this one so much and falling in love with so many wonderful characters, I can’t wait to go back to the beginning and see where it all began.

- Secret identity - Treasure hunt - Family relationships
I have read and loved each of the books in the Sanctuary series. The family dynamic of these sisters is one that I'll remember fondly for a long time. Is their family perfect? No, and that's what makes these books so fun to read!
This final book is about the youngest sister, Hogney. She is searching for treasure and convinces rock star in hiding, Jaxon, to help her. The attraction between them is evident, but each of them has communication issues, which initially cause problems.
I enjoyed the side story of Bigfoot, which has been a running bit throughout the series. Plenty of action, humor and spice in this book kept me turning the pages late into the night.
4.8⭐️. Off the grid rock star & a former con artist find love
I have loved reading all the stories of the sisters falling in love. This one was the most fun & the most heartbreaking. Honey is the youngest & just wants a relationship with her older sisters. That is her sole focus until she meets Jaxon. He is a rock star that is hiding out after a false scandal. It’s love at first sight, but lies, priorities & other obstacles keep them from moving forward. There are some really funny moments and some really raw moments. Once they find their way through all the obstacles, we get a HEA. Such fun read! Can’t wait for Katharine’s next story!.

I have enjoyed all of the books of this series and Seek and Cherish only adds to that. Bigfoot throughout has been hilarious, fun, and adorable. In fact, in this one, the Bigfoot sighting with a woman in his arms is one to remember! How women suddenly believe he's a great sexual partner rather than a vicious creature tickles my funny bone probably more than it should. These sisters with the flower names all come together and end their enforced year together bonded closer than ever. Getting romance along with sisterly bonding has made this whole series incredibly awesome.

I think this might be my favorite of the series. Honey has always seemed so sweet, but in this book get to see a side of her that’s serious and determined. She has had a different life than her sisters. She’s the baby of the family and always wanted to belong. All she wants now is to spend time and get close with her sisters. She meets Jaxon and he sees through her attempts to manipulate him into helping her. Once they’ve (mostly) come clean with one another they work well together. I love how they both so unexpectedly feel seen by the other. I’m excited for the next series about the Sullivan brothers. I want to see how Levi redeems himself.
Seek and Cherish is my favorite in book in the Santuary Series. It was a fun, quick, and easy read and I did not want to put it down. Ever since Jaxon was introduced in Charm and Conquer I have been wanting him to get together with Honey. And it finally happens! Honey tracks Jaxon down to convince him to help her find a hidden treasure. She has no idea that he is a famous pop star in hiding. Her not knowing his identity allows Jaxon to trust her and form a real relationship. This book concluded the series nicely. I liked that it included all the sisters, and it explained why the will required them to live together. And no book in the series would be complete without a big foot appearance or two. I am sad to see the series end, but I know there will be more of Catalpa Creek to come with the Sullivan brothers.
🐐 Small town 🐐 Rockstar x Small town girl 🐐 Secret identity 🐐 Treasure hunt 🐐 The goats!!!!
This was the perfect way to round off the Sanctuary series, when we finally got to hear Honey’s story. As always this was a well written contemporary romance in true Katharine Sadler fashion. I really enjoyed Honey and Jaxon as characters and felt they had great chemistry from the get go. The overarching story was well thought out with a nice twist with the Bigfoot element 😂
The goats were my absolute favourite, honestly I’d read a book just about them really.
This is book five in the Sanctuary series. It’s a small town, rock star romantic comedy. This is Jaxon and honey’s story. Great characters that you fall in love with. I really liked how the author built up the relationship between the two main characters. I was rooting for their happy ending through the whole book. Detailed and well plotted storyline that keeps your attention throughout the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I found this book series on a complete whim on Kindle unlimited. The covers are goofy and colorful but the story inside is so good. I loved this series so much from start to finish. I loved all of this Sisters so much but I was definitely looking forward to honeys story so much, so many things were revealed from the series, honey always stood out to me in previous books, and I was so happy with the way that her story ended.
The fifth and final story in the Sanctuary series, this is the younger sister Honey and rock star in hiding Jaxon. She asks for his help in finding the treasure she is looking for. A well written story with a very good storyline and strong characters. I enjoyed seeing the story come together and them get their happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
too much pretend How is a healthy relationship supposed to work when it´s based on schemes and pretending? There are enough people out there taking advantage of others, I don´t need this in a book when I´m trying to unwind. I know this is just my personal point of view but I simply couldn´t enjoy this book.
This series is pure gold dust. I love the complex interactions between the sisters and the small town vibe. The author manages to instill quirky and cute humour into each of the stories, and this one is no exception. I love the Big Foot theme, rock star trope just makes it even better. Honey and Jaxon make this book fantastic. Good read.
I have read this book all in one go purely because I enjoyed it so much. This book contains a lot of romance and funny moments that I couldn't get enough of. This is truly an amazing read.

Honey is the baby of the family and really wants to bond with her sisters. She convince Jaxon to help her looking for a treasure. This story is filled with romance and funny moments and lots of laugh out loud moments. This is a fantastic story. Totally worth it.
