Another great read. I'm excited because I've just read there's another series focusing on the other Malone brothers!!!

Painful Review
It pains me to write this review. I would like to start off saying that this series is one of my favorites, and I always read the newest release within days of it dropping. I have devoured Minka and Arch with a passion. However, this book fell short. I was ready to DNF at 17% and pushed to 41% before I just couldn’t read anymore. In my own perspective, this book did not mesh with the previous 11 in the series and I hated it. I’ll explain. Minka and Arch don’t lie or keep secrets this far into the series, they’re open and trusting. This book contracted that with lies and deception at every turn. I hated the smut focused plot, even though I understand they’re on their honeymoon. I read this series specifically for the plot with a touch here and there of their relationship, but it doesn’t overpower the plot.

Anyone reading these books know they are like an episode from a TV show - about a pair of newlyweds-- sexy once mob heir/ now homicide detective and his antisocial coroner / sometimes vigilante wife , working in the fictional city of Copeland, solving the city's murders and figuring out married life. Archer comes from an Irish mob family, consisting of a psychotic father and four obnoxious brothers; he'd escaped mob life as a teenager. Minka comes from a poor, working family, who sacrificed everything, including time with their child, to work enough jobs to be able to afford medication for her hemophilia. Before they met, he was a charming, hard-headed, hard-working manho; and she was a gruff, cynical, no-nonsense loner, well-respected but off-limits to personal interactions. Watching this couple - and their family, coworkers and friends - solve murder mysteries, face personal dilemmas and work on their past trauma- has been one of my favorite romance / mystery series of all time. Serious, funny, grim, hopeful, realistic, unrealistic, sad, emotional, silly - and deeply romantic, not to mention hawt s*xy times !
In this book, Archer and Minka go on a long-awaited vacation, sailing on a yacht in the Caribbean. But they're both keeping secrets from each other… And I just love the ending! And that is all I'm gonna say about that 😁

Another must-read in Minka and Archer’s adventures!!
𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 is the 12th book in the Mayet Justice series by Emilia Finn, featuring an exciting honeymoon adventure full of secrets, an intriguing case, plenty of sweet and spicy moments with our favorite couple, and hilarious banter with their family and friends that we all love!! Be ready to read the book from start to finish, because I couldn’t put it down! I love all these characters so much, and it was fun to see glimpses of Felix and Christabelle, Micah, and all the others! Micah just got way more interesting to me with his hidden talent!😏 I’m even more excited for his story now!! And Tim and Aubree?! Gah! Will those two ever give into the connection between them?!😩 The Will-They-or-Won’t-They angst between them is going to drive me insane!🤣 I love that even when work takes over, the love between Archer and Minka grounds the whole group. The way this author balances the romance with the suspense, witty banter, and the camaraderie that comes with the found family vibe is top notch. If you're reading this series in order you will now need to read, Diamond in the Rough, from The Underbelly Enchanted Series before you read Sinful Sorrow.

Archer and Minka finally get to have their long awaited honeymoon after being married five months. Archer has it all planned out starting with a large private jet that takes them to a large private yacht along the Florida coastline. There they sail to Jamaica in the Caribbean Sea. It would be a perfect honeymoon if they both would leave their phones off and calling work. Archer and Minka did have sexy fun and solved a murder. It was a lovely story.

Vacation My Butt!
OMG! I absolutely adore this next segment of Archer and Minka! Only they could go on vacation and wind up in a murder investigation. I spent all my lunch break reading and then stayed up late to finish. I adore Archer's love and devotion to Minnnka. Once again, Emila hits a home run! Can we please have Tim next?!?!

Disappointed
I absolutely adore Minka and Archer and have thoroughly enjoyed the previous books....but this one leaves me a little disappointed. I didn't care for the lying to each other about not working/working while on their honeymoon. In my opinion t the Aubree/Tim story is getting old - either move it along or end it. Also, didn't really care for Aubree taking over once she gets to the boat. Thought the book should have been more Minka/Archer enjoying their honeymoon/wedding.

2.5 disappointed stars. What happened in this book? Why make it out like they have a horrible relationship and lie to each other constantly?!? So frustrating. The honeymoon idea was cute, but this book was poorly executed and I didn’t like them as a couple. I typically like Minka and Archer’s relationship, especially how Archer cares for Minka. The lying and sneaking in this book ruined it for me.

A fantastic story and series
This was a humorous and entertaining story with many unexpected twists, and even a few surprises. It was interesting to see how the work-a-holic's handled being on their first vacation together. Lol! It was even funnier to see how all of these codependent people handled it. It's definitely not a story or series to be missed!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

You made me cry!
Sinful Summer, the 12th in the Mayet Justice series was sneaky! It was a stand-alone; not really needing all the background but... On one hand I was a bit bored with the "crime" but the family interaction made me sigh and remember why Emilia Finn is one author I will read over again and again. The characters become part of the family that he reader (me) misses.

Mayet & Malone…
Emilia does it again… creates a romantic mystery that had me reading from start to finish. Loved revisiting the Malones and their friends. Enjoyed the case they solved but really loved the emphasis on Archer and Minka’s love and relationship! I can’t wait to see where the tidbit about Tim and Aubree leads!

One Love
Yeah mon! If Minka and Archer are going to take a week away from work, there is no place in the whole world I could recommend more than Jamaica! A dozen books in, and they’re just as steamy as ever, and their banter still just as hilarious. I loved everything about this book!

Another Perfect Book!
The Mayet series is the perfect combination of Romance and Murder! This might be my favorite of the series because we get a lot more of Minka and Archer together and we get a few chapters of all the other characters we’ve come to love. This is definitely a Start at the Beginning series but you really owe it to yourself to read all of Emilia’s books!

I loved this!!! I mean I love everything Emilia writes but this was perfect! Of course they wouldn’t have a luxury honeymoon without work interrupting 😂

I SMILED so much through this book that my cheeks hurt. Archer is swoon worthy 🫶. He adores Minka so much. Tim put my heart in a vice. Aubs and Minka are hysterical. I just love these people….like I adore them so much. The snark, the sass, the filthy mouths….but the love 🩷. The deep all encompassing love makes my heart sing! Thank you again Emilia Finn!

Dammit Finn!!
Just when you think you can’t love Archer & Minka anymore, this book happens. Then you add in their blood family and chosen family and it’s perfect. This book has everything: love, comedy, intrigue, arguments, romance, and hot dogs on a stick!! I love these characters and can’t wait to see what’s next. 💜

I love a wedding!
I love Archer’s romantic and needy side along with being possessive and controlling. I love that Minka is strong and stubborn and awkward because I can relate, but she has softened to let love in and she deserves it! I also LOVE the surprises that Archer gives Minka on their honeymoon. I can’t wait for more! I’m NEVER ready for Emilia Finn’s books to end!

So much fun!
I loved seeing Minka and Archer in another place. It was fun watching them in a different environment, but they can't help being who they are, and work will always be a part of their lives, even on vacation. Them trying to work their way around each other and not get caught was pretty funny. And Archer's surprise was just perfect.

summer of fun
I enjoyed Mayet’s summer of adventure. Her and her husband still worked on their vacation without either of them knowing. The money situation blew Mayet’s mind because she has been poor all of her life and she doesn’t understand of what being rich entails. This is a book I would recommend reading for sure

Archer and Minka continue to entice me with every new book in this series! Archer's gooey romantic side is on display in a full swoon way. I started the series for Minka but I stay for Archer! He is my favorite! The guys are rapidly taking over the series and I’m not mad! 🥰 I really liked that this book just steered into their relationship and moving them forward.

Minka and Archer just may have given us the sweetest vows ever! This book was so well written and packed with powerful surprises….(don’t want to spoil it for anyone) but Emilia Finn you certainly outdid yourself this time!!!

Fun read!

I've read this entire series so far. This book wasn't as heavy as the previous one, and it was nice to see the MCs, Minka and Archer, have the wedding they initially didn't have and all the side characters come together.

I'm obsessed with the series! Literally it reads like a TV show BUT this book didn't give me the feels like they normally do. Which sucks. I'm gonna still read every release this author makes though lol
