It's been reviews all day for me! I just keep reading and reviewing the books! It's like a cycle that will never end...(Unfortunately, it will come to an end after 5 more volumes and because of the fact that I have school tomorrow) :( Anyway I enjoyed this so much, it might be my favorite volume! So much happiness in this volume, I couldn't stop happy dancing.
Me while reading this volume:
This is about a girl named Misaki who is the school president of Seika High. She is also the maid of a cafe and is working in secret. She is working in order to support her family financially. But this secret does not last long because Usui, one of the most popular guys in school finds out. Ever since then, he hasn't left her side. The two of them go through crazy experiences and learn to slowly open up to each other.
This volume gave me exactly what I wanted! I am so proud of Misaki, she is so brave! She is my favourite character from this series! Usui is hilarious as the usual, he always makes me laugh. Whenever I see the chibi version of both Usui and Misaki, I laugh because of their eyes! When Misaki screams, I laugh so hard, I love these characters!
Yukimaru is awesome and Kanou too! Sakura, Shintani, and many others are also amazing side characters. I love Cleddie, I thin that's his name, but I like Nin-nin better. I just wish that he would give Usui and Misaki a little privacy from time to time. He literally trails behind them and I understand that he has no choice but come on! There is a limit like gosh, you are making Misaki nervous Nin-nin.
Why is my heart beating so fast? Why do I feel lonely when you leave me? Why are you… the only one causing me so much confusion?
I loved the character development in this series, it changed so much from the beginning. Usui and Misaki's relationship grew more and more closer and I loved how it progressed. It was perfect, it wasn't rushed but it wasn't slow either. It was like we were getting somewhere but in small steps and I really liked that.
I love the storyline of this series, I know it's a bit cliche but it's super sweet and cute. It's something that I enjoyed and had a fun time with. I love seeing the characters tease each other and make hilarious jokes. Reading about these characters make my day! It is so hard to stop reading because of that.
I am looking at you Usui!
I feel like I can connect to Misaki in so many ways because some of the things that happened in her life have happened to me. And it makes me feel comfortable with her character because I can relate to her situation. And the way she reacts to different things is something that I may wish to do but I am never brave enough to do so. I am usually the girl who hides behind the shadows and sometimes choose to jump out and give everyone a small surprise.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants a fun, light manga to read. This is a romantic comedy so anyone who likes that should definitely give this book a try. I also recommend this to those who have watched the anime and want more of the characters! This is perfect and I am so happy I read this because there is so much more that has happened that wasn't shown in the anime. I'll be off to read the next volume, but I might be making a mistake because I have a math test tomorrow. Oh well, lets see where fate takes me.
It begins with Christmas Eve and Maid Latte Cafe. There is a gift exchange, and Misaki ends up with 2 tickets to an amusement park, the perfect outing for her and Usui to spend Christmas together.
The whole day at the park, she tries to gather the gumption to tell him how she feels about him and to give him the scarf she made for him. Though with Cedric following them around, it made it even harder. By the end of the night, she still hasn’t told him, and he’s walking away, when she runs after him and uses her scarf to pull him close and kiss him, and then tells him she loves him. It’s very sweet, and then he asks her to be his girlfriend. So now it’s official even though she doesn’t want the people at school to know. So only her coworkers and her friends Hinata, Sakura, and Shizuko know.
We also find out that Usui’s older brother Gerald has some sickness of some sort. They are keeping it under wraps because it could hurt the business; this is why they are after Usui, he is next in line.
Then we have the class trip to Kyoto. It’s pretty chaotic. At some point, a lot of them dress up in period costumes, including Misaki and Usui. Kuga shows up on a horse for some reason. And Usui wants to know if she’s keeping their relationship a secret because she’s ashamed of him, which she vehemently denies. She explains she needs to uphold her image, and if everyone finds out at school, they might not listen to her like they do now. It ends with them kind of hiding out while we hear the others are looking for them.

I knew this would happen as soon as I saw the guy put the wolf head on!! Sorry about that.. I was a little too out there.
I'm reading this online by chapter and I only know what I'm reading do to the reviews... But this is good. I know some people are getting bored at this point, but really I love having something to read all the time :)
Started off super cute with a date between Usui and Misaki but to be honest I felt that overall the volume was a bit lackluster and all over the place :/
Plus... nothing really happened in this... so whilst it started off great it just felt more like filler than anything else. Bit disappointed.
Chapter notes below for reference: (spoiler heavy)
The main point of this volume is about Gerard's true intention. Hmm. It's reasonable that he has such a weak body and has to as Usui to take his position. Then, Usui and Misaki are officially dating.. but being the demonic president made Misaki don't want anyone know about it--even thought they look so obvious, please...
It's believable that Misaki is not someone who can easily express her feeling, so it's hard for her to confess to Usui.
I think there will be more obstacles that they will face in the future. Sigh.

After so much angst, finally another adorable volume.
Usui is an absolute puppy riding everything in the amusement park and Misaki's anxiety is relatable. But they're finally official, the crew's reactions were hysterical and Shizuko is an absolute icon and I want her to be my mentor and teach me her ways.
Finally, while the enactment by Erika and Subaru was hysterical, poor Aoi is probably scarred for life.

Misaki n Usui are now officially the couple n finally they said it. Shintani cosplay as ninja are so cute, Tora riding the horse n his looks, omgosh 😍 n usui - I preferred him wearing yukata - shows him that he's handsome plus I don't usui wearing wig n look like soldier era look, it doesn't suit him in my opinion.

It took 13 books but it finally happened 🎉 Also, I feel like Usui has a much softer look about him now then he did in the beginning. I like him more now
