"As an Astrophysics and Astronomy guy from IIT Indore, I must say this is a mind blowing book. Covers a diverse area in astronomy and astrophysics, a must read book. Has both Science and Mythology, good research and intriguing topics, like blackholes, pyramids, quantum(psi), relativity and lot more. It has Shiva like I had never imagined before."
- Ashuosh Das (IIT)

You should read it if you are a 'believer'. If you are a 'non-believer' then you must read it.

'Finding Shiva' brings together the science and symbolism behind the concept of a formless God, Lord Shiva. The novel approach of not really delving into eulogizing Gods, rather investigating them is refreshing. The book takes you on a fascinating journey from understanding consciousness, to analyzing the effects of psychedelics, to exploring whether we are in a simulation, to finding the meaning of life. The author takes a scientific approach in that he uses biology, archeology, cosmology, geology, topology, anesthesiology, radiology, and quantum physics to understand the concept of Indian Gods. The book also touches upon the concepts of prophets and Gods from other religions in ways that you probably never imagined. It explores the trail of breadcrumbs that Gods might have laid for us to explore. There is something in it for everybody.

A very interesting book. Mr. Pattnaik has definitely done his research and manages to connect scientific theorems to innumerable religious beliefs.
However, at times he loses track of what his own book is about. The book becomes haphazard and arbitrary on certain occasions. Moreover, a few analogies of his are extremely immature and obviously coincidental.
