Potty Training for Boys is a wonderfully practical guide. The narrator’s clear explanations and step-by-step approach made it easy to implement strategies with my son. I appreciated the patience and encouragement built into the methods. Listening to this audiobook gave me confidence and my child a positive experience. It’s an excellent resource for parents looking to make potty training less stressful and more successful.

The grandson is going through potty training and I thought I'd do some reading to see what they say about it these days. The basic thought is that you find 3 days where you dedicate yourself to the child's getting potty trained. This means that you make frequent trips and get excited when they go the bathroom.

There are lots of resources and ideas in this book.

A very helpful resource

I am about to embark on the potty training journey with my toddler son and I found this book to be such a helpful resource, covering so many aspects of potty training a little boy I hadn’t previously considered.

I don’t agree with the technique as it isn’t scientifically backed like other books on this topic, and there are minimal case studies or examples but the troubleshooting section in the last 40% of the book was helpful.

3.5 ⭐️ I was very optimistic about this book! But I learned very quickly that every child is so different and on the “2nd day” I basically did my own thing and continued to do that. And let me tell you, those mommy instincts worked! I will say that this book gave me a basic overall knowledge of how things could go and ideas to try. But that’s just it, they were ideas. I ended up throwing so many things out the window as I learned what my toddler needed. Lots of trial and error. I feel like the cover of the book saying “stress free” in three days was a lie. It makes parents think their child will have a perfect knowledge in three days which isn’t the case, and if that doesn’t happen you feel like a failure of a parent. Even the book states that isn’t the case, so I don’t like that that was how it was marketed. I also felt like the book was written for older boys, maybe 3+. My little one had barely turned 2 and his communication was different than how the author was saying you could talk to your toddler. I felt like that could have been explained better as well. Different communication methods based on the age of the toddler.
