While trying to track down the elusive Lillian Redmond, a former Hollywood starlet whose soon-to-be published memoirs are causing quite a stir, P.I. Sam Spade Hunter meets his match in her granddaughter Lily, a headstrong beauty who will stop at nothing to find her troublemaking grandma. Original.
It has been a long time since I've laid around in the morning to finish a book that was as predictable as the sun coming up each day. Twenty four year old, predictable Lily tries to find her not so predictable, once starlet grandmother with the help of private investigator Sam Hunter. What made this fun, after the few first chapters, was its fast pace and hoodlams. It was a perfect book for my lazy state of mind.
This book was a great reminder that life is not about following a list of rules and abiding by all the "shoulds" that tend to accumulate. It is better to have a little spunk and just live life.
