Scout

All I ever wanted was to be a professional racer and join Holt’s Racing team, but when my dad ropes me into paying off his gambling debts, my dreams are suddenly at risk. With my car breaking down, my first race looming, and debt collectors closing in, I feel more alone than ever. Then Chase enters my life, showing me how not alone I am. But as we hide our relationship from the world, the chaos I've been avoiding comes crashing down, leaving me with only one person to turn to.

Chase

I’ve spent my life conforming to my father's expectations, and making myself numb to the world in the process. I’m to become a lawyer, take over his firm, and he even chooses who I should marry. Then everything changes when I meet Scout. She's fearless and free-spirited, living life on her terms. Despite her friends telling me not to, I find myself falling for her, questioning everything I thought I knew. Now, faced with a choice between family and love, I have to decide whether to follow my heart or return to the life I've always known.

Two different worlds collide, leaving them with a choice, risk everything for love or go back to the lives they have always known.

Oh I really did like this! My only minor "problem" with this is that the ending dragged a bit for me. But I did love the vibes, the grumpy x sunshine with him being a literal golden retriever boyfriend and her being the black cat. I´d say the trope for this is Forbidden Love and you can expect spicy scenes in here. I loved the nicknames they had for each other and I liked the tension in the beginning. For my taste it could have lasted a liiiittle bit longer.

I want to know what you sound like when your world breaks apart

This series just keeps getting better and better and I’m going to be screaming about it from the rooftops trying to get everyone to read it. If found family and ride or die friends is your favourite trope then you really need to check out this series. It’s just an added bonus that there is a bunch of tattooed, alpha holes and a girl gang that can go toe to toe with them!

In all the chaos, I found my home.

Bring on Kye’s book because I have a sneaky suspicion that that man is going to ruin me. He’s so mysterious and I can’t wait to see what happens with Daisy!

In the latest installment of the Hallows Garage series, Scout finally steps into the spotlight, and it’s a journey worth every page. As the loyal and lovable "baby" of the crew, Scout has always been a steadfast friend, but here, she truly shines in her own right. Enter Chase, the picture-perfect preppy boy with a life mapped out for him—except he’s not happy. The chemistry between Scout and Chase is electric, and watching their dynamic unfold is impossible to put down. What makes this story even more compelling is how the characters stay true to themselves, even as they grow and evolve. If you’re not already obsessed with this series, this book will have you screaming from the rooftops to catch up. Highly recommend!

Overall Review 🪩-

I gave this book a 4.25 ⭐️. I really enjoyed Chase and Scout. I have been waiting for Scout’s book, because I loved her personality in the other books. I LOVED THE TROPES IN THIS BOOK. The ending did drag like a lot and I feel like the plot just fell apart, which wasn’t a satisfying ending for the book.

Y'ALL! Getting a chance to read this ARC was the best thing that ever happened to my soul. Scout and Chase's story is wild and insane and hot and messy and PERFECT! This very rapidly became my second favorite book in the series (Ransom and Quinn are hard to beat lol) and by golly, did Kate do our little Hellcat justice. 1000000/10 will ALWAYS read again 💚🖤

Omg Kate you need to stop writing these amazing books! I am absolutely obsessed with all of your characters they live rent free in my head. I have been a huge fan of Scout from the beginning of the series and knew that her book would be amazing. But this book blew my expectations out of the water. She is such a spitfire and has been through so much. I love Chase soooo much as well. This man is obsessed and would do anything for her, which is exactly what Scout deserves. Thanks you Kate for the chance to read it was amazinggggg!! I can’t wait to read the next book! 10000/10 recommend!!

ARC Read!

"It was the realization that I finally found where I belong in my life. In all the chaos, I found my home, and to my surprise, it was never a place,
It was her."

Scout and Chase's story was everything and more. He gave it all up for her. I am so happy to finally see Scout get the love she's been so deserving of since book one. Watching her grow from book one has also been amazing.

Scout and Chase, yes yes yes! I loved there relationship. Her nickname fit her perfectly. I’m also a sucker for a good opposites attract. Chase can do no wrong in my eyes 😂

After reading about Scout in the other books, I was so excited to finally watch her get her perfect mans.

Definitely read the rest of the books in the series, you will not be disappointed. This one was no exception.

So excited for Kye’s book coming in June!!

Scout (Hellcat) who is our FMC is just the right amount of angsty and full of love for her crew. Being the youngest and only "sister" she is protected better than the president haha! Who wouldn't want a crew of scary tattooed brothers to protect them?! We learn that Scout is racing to qualify to become a full-time racer for Holt Racing. Along with the possibility of being the 2nd ever woman on the team. Unfortunately it seems that this might not happen with her dad's debts coming to bite her in the ass and possibly the crew as well. Feeling like she needs to do this on her own after everything they have done for her. On race night at the local track, Scout runs into our MMC Chase (rich boy) because he decides to cut in line for the races and get put against our very own Scout. Let's just say the race doesn't end the way she would like it to. Scout's emotions spark a flame in Chase that he has had for years. When one night at the track becomes Chase being a part of the crew and teasing Scout then turns into much more as time progresses. We learn that just because you come from a family of money doesn't always mean you are happy. As we continue this story we learn that both our FMC and MMC become who they are based on their environments. But they only get to see the real side of each other. The last 100 pages of this book had my heart racing from the biggest plot twist!

If you enjoy the world of cars, racing, strong women, and a man who is willing to do anything for the person he loves, I strongly recommend this book!

forbidden love grumpy/sunshine

This book was a different read than my usuals and I really liked it. A forbidden love but also one where the normally sunshine girl is now the grumpy one and the boy who is hiding his grumpy life is all sunshine because he met a girl. I loved their chemistry and how hard she fought to hate him and he just fought her. This was very much the grade school I’m gonna pick on you because I like you but then I’m gonna be honest with my feelings so you don’t get the wrong idea here. Cute read and liked how it progressed.

4.5 for Scout because I love her. She is such a relatable character- the girl who wants to be soft but is hard because that is the way life made her. I loved that Chase helped her see she could be both. I like the forbidden romance vibes. So good. My favorite one yet.

Spice-🌶🌶½

Another banger from Kate Crew!!! I have loved Scout since book 1 and I have been impatiently waiting for her book. I absolutely looooved Love Collided! We got the perfect mix of sassyness, banter, push and pull and a guy who would give anything for his "Hellcat".

⬇️ Tropes ⬇️
🚘 Forced Proximity
🚘 He Falls First
🚘 Opposites Attract
🚘 Racing
🚘 Found Family
🚘 Suspense
🚘 Hidden Relationship
🚘 Touch him and die vibes

Scout is the baby of the group at Hallows Garage. Through the previous 3 books, we have watched her be loyal and a great friend to the whole gang. I loved watching her shine in her own book! I couldn't wait to see the guy who would lock her down. Chase was not who I envisioned for her, but he was absolutely perfect for her!

Chase is a preppy pretty boy who has his whole life set out for him. He is to finish law school, become a lawyer, and take over his Dad's law firm. Even though Chase has everything he could want... he's not happy. He's searching for something to give himself some purpose and happiness. His car breaks down and Scout is the perfect person to work on his car.

From there the banter and push and pull was so good. I love watching them make their own path in life together. Scout had walls built up around her that were 20 ft high and Chase was patient and determined to knock them all down. The crew accepted Chase immediately and I love that the guys took him in as one of their own.

If you have loved the Hallows Garage series, Scouts book is soooo good and you should definitely read it. I can't wait for Kye's book next. I am dying to get inside his head!

●Love Collided by Kate Crew●

We're forth book into the Hollows Garage series and still going strong! I've been so hyped for Scout's book and it was so worth the wait.

I absolutely loved the enemies to lovers vibes between street racer Scout and rich reformed playboy Chase. The first scene they meet had so much tension and chemistry, and I was here for it. I liked how their relationship seemed like a secret friends with benefits thing but both knew that deep down there was more going on. I liked the spicy scenes but more importantly I loved their meaningful talks and the way Chase reassured Scout with her insecurities.

Scout was such a good FMC. She's always been a bit of a mystery and a side character, but finally reading from her POV was great. I love her spitfire personality and how she's still learning to build her confidence after dealing with her toxic ex. I truly felt for her with her past and upbringing. Equally I liked seeing how Chase went from a drunken playboy to giving it all up for the girl.

By far the strongest aspect of this book is the found family. At this point the crew have a special place in my heart, and I loved seeing them all together. We get small glimpses of the couples as well as the girls' badass gang/ friendship. Fox and Scout's sibling energy is so cute! I loved how everyone has each other's backs, cue the scene where Scout beats up her ex in revenge for Chase. Also cue the scene where Chase bails the gang out of jail. It was so funny!

The book ends pretty well with a super adorable HEA, but we've still got Kye's book to go, and I'm beyond excited because I think he's going to be my favourite man...

4/5 🌟

Let me start by saying how grateful I was to be an arc reader for this story, in return of an honest review.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

I loved this story, and found it impossible to put down. It revolves around Scout and Chase which have very quickly become my favorite couple in the series. I felt that the challenges these characters faced before meeting each other was appropriately addressed, giving them both flaws, however in my opinion that just makes the character more complex and enjoyable. They aren’t perfect, and by no means do they need to be. I loved every second of this read, it took me through a rollercoaster of emotions that I would gladly go on again.

I love that through this series the characters have stayed consistently themselves, including in this book. The quirky little comments and actions between the crew members make it even more enjoyable and wholesome. (Which just just makes me more excited about Book 5)

Now let me tell you one thing (person) I didn’t like: Jesse, and by that I don’t mean at all that his character is poorly written. In fact, he is so well written that I wanted to kick his ass every time he was mentioned. The way the man irritated me to the bone just proves how well written he really was. I think the relationship between him and Scout was an accurate representation of a narcissistic abusive relationship, so be warned if that may be a trigger. Lastly the effects it took on Scout and her self worth felt very realistic, and I’m glad she was able to finally say ‘that’s enough of this bullshit’ and stand up for herself.

I loved how Chase helped her see herself as she truly is which is a badass woman who is strong, stubborn, feisty, and unbelievably lovable. He had no problem KNEELING for his Queen, supporting her dreams, and giving up this expensive life style. Plus the mouth on this man, he deserves an award.

Overall I found this to be a 5/5 read with multiple spicy chapters but nothing too crazy/kinky which is why it received a 3/5 chili peppers.

If you haven’t already added to your TBR make room because this is definitely a must read.

Female badass

I was so excited when I received this book because this series has been on of my favorites, it's different than what's out there and the characters are SPICY ! I loved Chase but I will say that I still love Ransom because of how jealous and possessive he is. That being said, Chase has a way with words that can really turn your frown upside down. Not just sexually but he was very wise on helping Scout with her insecurities.

Poor Scout who always had issues with trust and her dad but she seemed to be honest for the most part with herself. I think the book went down a peg for me because even though the relationship continued at a good pace, she constantly ghosted Chase and if it wasn't for him needing her and physically showing up to see her, there would've been no relationship. I know she is younger but it seemed a little childish to just ghost him when he was obviously mad at her and she needed to make up for her words. Yes, they talked and sorted things after he forced her to talk but that's not healthy in the long run.

Aside from that, the scenes with the crew were my favorite and Chase's parents and Jesse were a good obstacle to overcome for the couple. They were able to talk to each other about their feelings and use that adrenaline of protection for each other to get revenge on those that hurt the family.

I won't lie, the fight scene with Kye has me sooo excited for his book because I want to know everything about him. it's killing me because I already know that I'm going to fall hard.

Scenes I loved - when Chase got revenge on his parents and they got taken down, when Scout finally gave up her dad and called the cops on him, when Carly spoke about Jax being a "bad boy" as he lounges in a bubble bath and when Kye is drinking strawberry milk (ah! it's too cute)

All in all, I loved the book ! Kate does a great job in having us understand the struggles of each character and relate to them on a level of understanding that appearances aren't always what they seem.

No entanto, apesar desses pontos fortes, Love Collided apresenta algumas fragilidades.

Okay, I have been anxiously awaiting Scout's book since I finished Racing Hearts and Kate did not disappoint. I devoured this book in 24 hours. I had to force myself to go sleep, and I'm mad about it tbh.

Firstly, let's just get this out of the way. While I do love Chase, Jax is still my number one Hollow's Garage boyfriend. I'm sorry, but also I'm not!

That being said, Chase has a filthy mouth, and my god, I appreciate it. What I love about Kate is that she creates such well- rounded, three-dimensional characters.

Chase has his demons, and he fights them when he sees just how much better life can be when you have people in your life who genuinely care about you. The only reason this book lost a star for me is because I would have really liked to see the friendship between Fox/the guys and Chase actually develop on page in Chase’s POVs. It was told rather than shown, so I didn't really feel that connection.

Scout's insecurities were heartbreaking. I couldn't fathom that after all she'd been through with them that she would for one second think that they wouldn't help her with her problems with her dad. But as Fox pointed out, she was much younger when everything went down in their books.

I loved the way that the relationship between Scout and Chase developed. The pace was perfect, the spice was spicing, and there was no third act breakup, which is always a bonus.

This is an amazing addition to the Hollow's Garage series, and I love how this family is growing.

And finally, fuck Jesse.

💚Favourite quotes💚

💚 "I don’t care what life is being offered to me. I would choose a life with you a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes. There is no life that I could want if you weren’t in it. You were right that I couldn’t have both, so I won’t. I’ll take the life with you and leave the other one behind.” - Chase

💚 "Hey, Hellcat,” I whispered. “Not okay?” “Not okay,” she whispered back.
My arm wrapped tighter around her, holding her as close as I could. “I’ll be right here until you are.”

💚 “I think we have a problem,” Jax said. “Obviously,” Ransom said, rolling his eyes. “No, I think we… I think we created a girl gang,” Jax said.

Just as cute as the rest

This book was definitely just as cute as the others.Just as an intense connection between the two characters, which was great.
I love the character scout maybe if it was a little weird for me at first because that's my daughter's name and I had to kind of mentally block that out for a certain parts of the books as i'm sure you all can imagine.
Luckily, she had a cool nickname and that worked better in my mind. I will admit that the rich party guy is not normally my go to neesh for a male main character but chase was okay, and he redeemed himself from that pretty early on.
I won't say it was my favorite out of them just because of those two reasons right there. But it was still a very enjoyable read, and I still liked it.A lot and I like its place within the series and the story, and I think it was important to show.
I'm now left in limboo, between being really sad then I'm almost done with this series. I'm super excited to read the next book. Because I have been dying for that story. Honestly, I think I will connect to it.The most as somebody with my own little tisms.
But i'm also excited to see what else is author has in store because I definitely enjoy her her writing and her writing style and it's been great. And all of these books are definitely being added to my list of physical copies to buy to have on my shelf.

I love this world…this book did not disappoint.

Scout and Chase. What is not to love about this duo?
Scout being the badass that she is leads with nothing else. Seeing her inner turmoil over things was also nice too. Knowing that Scout cares so deeply and loves so fiercely that getting to see her inner thoughts and some of her fears and struggles made her seem more real.
Meeting Chase and seeing the boy who needs to find love being the only one fully able to read our feisty redhead just made me giddy. Knowing that he was taking care of her even when she didn’t know that she needed it was heart warming. Having him fight for what he needed and wanted in his life in the end with no qualms about what he was leaving behind was good to see. I always love a good man that is willing to stand with and behind his woman no matter what and Chase proved over and over he was willing to do that for Scout.

Glad to see our reigning girl gang queen get her happy ending. Now we just need to find the perfect cuddle bunny for the last family member to make Scout’s family complete!

This book did NOT disappoint. Oh my heavens. I have been waiting for Scout’s time to shine and this was it!!

Scout grew up in the garage with her “brothers”, basically all of the other guys that work in Hollows Garage with her. She has never been the “girly girl” and won’t hesitate to beat you in a race… until he shows up. The rich boy in the Porsche. The one she really needs to stay away from because she does have a boyfriend.. (even though he is a literal POS lol )

After one night, and one night big, she finds herself at the mercy of this rich guy who she really actually hates. She owes big money for her father’s debt and hasn’t told anyone until now.

Chase Parker grew up as the “lawyer’s kid”, always had what he wanted and needed, partied, and didn’t know what he really wanted for his life… until he met her. The spitfire that he met that night at the races.

I really loved these two so much and THE TWIST?!?! I was on the floor. Absolutely incredible.

Tropes
-millionaire mmc X street racer fmc
-forced proximity (kinda, she teaches him how to work on cars)
-enemies to lovers
-touch her and d!e
-he falls first
-he spoils her
-found family

Kate hits this one out of the park! My favorite Hollows Garage book yet. Scout is so strong and independent for most things, but when it comes to love, she gets into the wrong relationships because she feels she needs a man like her. Enter Chase. He is the complete opposite of Scout and shows her just how strong she can be and how much value she has. They enter a friends-with-benefits situation after she breaks up with her loser boyfriend, and they start to develop feelings for each other. He helps her see that she is worthy of love from anyone and is a fierce woman. She helps him see that the life he has been leading wasn't making him happy and that he felt dead inside. When they can't fight them anymore, he is willing to give up everything for her. She is worried the crew won't want them together, as the boys are her found family and protective older brothers. The best part of the girls going in to rescue Scout when she was in danger. Their friend group is everything you would want from your friends.

The series was starting to head downhill for me but this book redeemed it! I LOVE Scout so much! Her fiesty attitude and caring personality was perfect! There were times that I wondered if the plot was forgotten as long breaks from any mention of it happened but shortly after thinking that it would be brought back and I do think that any loose ends got wrapped up nicely. At times I did think that communication and a little less ego could have prevented the issue at hand but that doesn’t make for a good story. I found myself sucked in and wanting to read constantly and the pesky little grammar/spelling mistakes while still there did drop significantly compared to the 3rd book which made it more enjoyable as well. And the EPILOGUE!!!!! DO NOT SKIP IT!!! 💚☺️ I think I mentioned this in the review of the third book but I love the epilogues of HS/college age characters because they are more creative and interesting than they got married/pregnant/had babies.
