Home is Where the Heart Is -
Riley’s plan was to just help her father out temporarily in her father’s diner and return to her job in the city, but fate had other plans in store for her life. Jake hadn’t really gotten over his feelings for Riley and seeing her again years after she left really threw him through a loop. However, working together on a community project reignited their feelings for each other and gave them a second chance at the forever they had always wanted.

This is a heartwarming romance story about two people who found their way back to each other to fill the hole in their hearts. This is the first time I have read a book from this author and I enjoyed it, so I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future.

I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

"I thought I had to get away to become who I was supposed to be."
"And did you?"
She exhaled. "I think… I was already her. I just didn't know it."

Riley Jackson had left home to find her own way as a cook but was returning home because he father was ill, was dying actually, and she wanted to help keep him and the family diner open... and maybe even find out if her old love was still around.

This small prequel to a series by Kel Summers is wonderfully written and full of hope. It's also making me check my pocketbook to see if I can get the rest of the series. Highly Recommended 5/5

This was a simple tale of a love that was meant to be. Riley left Sunset Cove to live the life she wanted but when circumstances bring her back, she rediscovers what she left behind - the community and her first love. While the romance story of the book is entertaining it felt very surface level. The true emotion of the book comes with the storyline with Riley and her father. If you are looking for a short, easy read with a HEA then check out this book.

A cute story about love

I enjoyed this quick read, it touched the basic Feelings. The author wrote of love, betrayal and Desperation desperation Coma Add and Renewed spirit of life. I like the characters And the author made them seem realistic. . The situation I felt was a normal situation so I could really relate to it... I think most everybody would enjoy the short story there is one negative part death, but that is part of the circle of life.

Her dad called to let her know he needed her. So she leaves the big city, her 5 star restaurant job, for leave. and came home. Dad was so loving. Kind, and considerate of all his friends. They even helped him with his fishing and restaurant. The man she left behind. Was there for both of them. It took awhile for her to adjust to many situations with the advice her dad loving gave her before he passed

This was a really great quick read. This can be a vacation read.

Riley had left Sunset Cove. She wanted to see the world and make her own way. But unfortunately, life had other things in st ore for her. She came back because her dad wasn't good. She just hoped that she could avoid Jake. But as luck would have it, she would meet him. She had to face the reason she left and the love she left behind. Can things be mended?

What an enjoyable & refreshing read. The characters were likeable, and the story was believable. I usually don't read romance, but this was a good one. I may end up reading this entire series in the end.

I received a free e-book.

Beautiful love story

True love story with real problems and conflicts. Thankfully, no fowl language or explicit love scenes. Story told beautifully without vivid vulgar sex or language.

This is a romantic novella about a couple who, it seems, were destined to be together. Easy reading storyline as we listened to it on our phone/bluetooth while traveling.

Clean Interconnected Standalone Romance Prequel HEA

Riley has returned home to take over the diner from her dad. Her and Jake had been in love years ago. Can they rebuild their relationship or has too much time gone by? This was the second time I've read this book and I enjoyed it just as much this time as the first.
