City on The Edge of Forever

Life used to be simple
No one paid me any mind
I went about my business
And everyone was just fine

One day that all changed
People started paying attention to me…
It was both good and bad
But it was obvious I was no longer able to be me.

So I sit here on the Edge of Forever
In this city by the bay
Waiting for everyone and everything
To finally be OK
Feels like so much wasted time
For I want to be with you and see your smile.
But I’m waiting
