Gluttony doesn’t remember the past; Saeran is haunted by it. Their love could save them all, or it could signal their doom.

Saeran

I’ve spent so long hiding in the shadows, I’ve forgotten what it’s like to live any other way. I lost Gluttony lifetimes ago and watching him now is agony. I didn’t mean to get this close, not after being careful for so long.

Whoever we were is gone. I wish we could have just one more moment. If only giving in to my need for him wouldn’t mean the end for us all.

Gluttony

He came to me in the shadows, offering gifts with his silver tongue. I refuse to be taken for a fool like my brothers. A pretty face isn’t enough to lure me in. I just want one more gift and answers to the promises he whispers in my ear.

I’ve no interest in love or physical connections. And yet this stranger comes waltzing in with his secrets and his lies, and I’ve never wanted to hoard anything more than him.

Gluttony is a slow-burn MM urban fantasy romance with dark themes, morally gray characters, and extreme pining. It is the second book in the Seven Deadly Sins series, which must be read in order.

I don't even know where to start 😂

There is so much more explanation about the history of the Sins in this book, plus so many details about how they're connected to the Dark Fae and the Light Fae.

Saeran was such a frustrating character because of his martyr personality, but he was also the key to moving forward in the plot. I loved the gifts he made for Gluttony and I'm eager to see how he fits into the wider group moving forward.

Gluttony definitely lived up to his name and I love how his hunger is displayed through the need to hoard everything. His inner turmoil when he had to hand the orb over to Deacon was so funny!!

The ongoing plot got a whole lot more intricate and I feel like I need to make some notes so I'm not lost when Envy is released!

I honestly can't wait to read Envy's book because the set up that's already been done is promising an explosive story line 🍿🍿🍿🍿

EDITED:-

This well written fantasy /love story is set in a time and place where
‘Seven demigods—each embodying one of the seven deadly sins—that ruled over the world with iron fists.’

This book has reincarnation themes, love lost -and love found, chimeras, demons. Angst. Sexual chemistry.

Book 1 was Deacon and
Lust’s love story. There’s talk of light fae. There’s Chimera’s. Demons.

“Lust couldn’t remember the last time he’d been intrigued by anyone. If he ever had. Pursuits of the flesh only ever left him wanting, with an uncomfortable aftertaste like ash and an aching heart filled with a strange sense of guilt. He’d given up on finding a reason or a cure a long time ago.”

After sexy times, a silver necklace appears around Lusts neck, while a white key tattoo is found over Deacon’s heart. Deacon is all like what the fuck but then falls back into orgasmic bliss with Lust.

‘His chain had changed, and now a locket in the shape of a heart was resting against his chest, a keyhole in the center. “That’s…” Deacon pressed a hand to the tattoo over his chest. A key. To this locket? Metaphorical at the least. He couldn’t pull the key off his chest and use it. “You own me,” Lust said. “And now we’re connected.”

So now you’re caught up and on to book 2.

“I love you.”
“My heart beats for you, Saeran.”
“Don’t leave me.”
“Oh, baby. Never.”

I adore Saeran and guardian companion/spectre - Gyro. His rainbow-colored semi-translucent dragon. A sign of his connection to the Sins

‘He smells like home.
My heartbeat.
My soul.
I wish I could forget like he has, take this pain away.’

Action. Secrets revealed. The dark fae.

This book has all the plot twists and reveals , has it left anything for the next 5 books??

We are going to have to wait until next year, when Envy is released! Argh nooooo

‘If Envy and Lazarus are meant to be—fated, the same as Lust and Deacon, and Saeran and I—then Raven is about to be in a world of pain. And Lazarus is a stubborn son of a bitch who loves his husband. There’s no telling how this will end.’

Gluttony is the second book in the Seven Deadly Sins series. This series must be read in order to get the most out of it. We are back with the Seven Deadly Sins and this time it's Gluttony and Saeran. We get so much more information about history of the sins and their connection to the Fae. I just loved this book so much. I know I will be reading it over so I can pickup details that I might have missed. Gluttony really lives up to his name in this book with how he hoards things. Saeran is such an interesting character. I can't wait for the next book in the series because it just gets better with everyone book. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Fine.

It was fine...the story is good, but gluttony and Seiran...well i didnt care about them. Their chemestry feel forced and the book was boring at the begining, nothing like a character that knows something, and tell you he knows something....but doesnt say anything.
Im more curious about the next book, I need to know about Raven, so not everything was bad. And of course Connor.

I'll start by saying this is NOT a standalone, you have to read Lust, (the first book in this series), before you can read this one. While each story does focus on a different couple, there's an overarching plotline and each book leaves off on a cliffhanger.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, onto the story! Gluttony and Saeran's story is one full of heartbreak and anguish.. Saeran has lived with the memories of his past for decades, even when he reincarnates he still keeps his memories. It's both bitter and sweet for him to remember. When his home got attacked, the people he loved most died... And when they reincarnated, they had no memories of their life prior to death, no memories of him or of the power they have.. But Saeran knows everything, and that's what makes this so heartbreaking.

Gluttony's character is very brash, almost harsh at times. He's quick to get angry, and loves to fight... His character didn't pull me in as much, I was more intrigued and invested in Saeran than I was Gluttony. Having said that, while these two seem as though they are opposites and on different sides, they just fit together on page. Overtime Gluttony breaks down all the walls Saeran has surrounding his heart and is able to get the man to finally come clean about what he knows. For the most part anyway.

I liked this story, I thought the connection between Gluttony and Saeran was great. There was a ton of pent of longing and emotion, which is understandable considering Saeran has had to live with the memories of his lost love. There is also quite a bit of angst involved too. While there is romance in this story, the main focus (in my opinion) is building up the plotline and adding more mysteries, along with twists and turns. Which I honestly ended up enjoying, I liked the all the details Sienna uses to build up the world these Sins live in, and I enjoyed discovering new and important details as the story went on. (I absolutely ADORED the little dragon that is so full of exuberant personality and who loves to play with her lightning. She's so cute)

I am very much looking forward to Envy's story, and I can't wait to see what happens in his story!

3.5 ★

“I don’t want your help. Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you.”
“You can’t kill me.” Lightning sparks around us. It flickers in Gluttony’s eyes and races down his arms. It moves across me, and I tense, desire pulsing through me as Gluttony’s magic settles over me like an aphrodisiac.
“I can make you wish I could,” Gluttony threatens.

A year after the last installment one of my favorite dysfunctional found family is back. And with a lot of interesting new revelations. Revelations that pretty much confirm that Lust and Gluttony got it easy romantic-wise compared to what's left for the rest of the Sins. And of course, Envy, who’s been suffering since the beginning, is one of my favorites. I'm glad to know that his story is next and we won't have to wait too long to read it.

description

I love how different Gluttony and Saeran’s relationship development is compared to Lust and Deacon’s. This is definitely a slow burn, I’ll even say that there isn't as much romance as some people would prefer. I personally loved that this instalment was more focused on the main plot. That’s why I connected more with them. Saeran’s doubts after years of suffering on his own with the weight of the memories and Gluttony’s stubbornness due to the lack of them made this relationship more realistic IMO.

description

Another sin falling for their significant other in the middle of chaos. I truly can’t wait for the next instalment, even though I know that that one is going to hurt the most.

Lust, the first book in Sienna Moreau’s Seven Deadly Sins series, was a story that had me intrigued but did not fully work for me. Although it did not work for me in the way I had hoped, it did leave me curious about the second book. I had my fingers crossed that it would improve upon the things that had me uncertain, and I was hoping to find myself sucked deeper into the world.

Unfortunately, I struggled with Gluttony from the start. This is a very personal thing, but I am not a fan of series changing from third person to first person perspective. I know it will not bother most, but it is a personal pet peeve. Due to this, it took me longer than expected to be sucked back into the story. While I did appreciate the way the larger world was expanded in this book, I continued to feel like information was shared in an uneven way, where information for understanding came later than was required. Add in the fact that I did not feel the chemistry between the characters in this story, and the interest I had from book one did not last.

All in all, I can see the appeal of this series. Unfortunately, I have not connected with it in the way I had hoped. Despite my curiosity about some of the other characters, I will not be continuing with the series.

This picks up after book 1 and must be read before continuing with this book. I had actually forgot what happened and had to reread the last few chapters of book 1 again because there is no recap in this one, so I was confused for a bit.

So much hurt/comfort and angst in Saeran hiding who he is to Gluttony, and his fading powers because he can't reunite with his mate. The brief glimpses at the beginning of each chapter of Gluttony and Saeron's relationship in the past hurt to read because of Gluttony's amnesia and Saeran trying to be a martyr. I was so glad when Gluttony finally opened himself up to Saeran, and Saeran finally enlightened everyone with the what's going on and what he knew. Gluttony quickly became possessive of Saeran and his orbs, even without knowing the connection to him. Even though this was a slow burn, it fit the flow of the plot really well, and you get enough scenes of them together that it didn't feel slow.

The overall plot is still unresolved and we are still in conflict/battle with the Light Fae and Conor. We also find out more secrets after Saeran starts spilling the truth since his memories are intact, and there's a reincarnation theme with the rest of the Sin's mates. Can't wait to read the rest of the Sin's book and I'm so excited for Envy's book next! I'm wondering how his will work out and if his would be a poly book (please please please I hope so).

We've learned so much about the Fae and the Sins in this book.

Saeran remembered everything from the past. He carried so much, and it was painful to see him desperately in love, whereas Gluttony was deprived of the memories of their life together.

“Who are you?”
The truth comes tumbling out of my mouth before I can take it back. “Yours.”

Though, Gluttony's fast obsession with Saeran made the pining a bit more bearable.

“I’ll keep him safe, like I do with everything that belongs to me. I don’t break anything that’s mine. Only everything else.”

I can't believe I will have to wait months or more until Envy's book. 🥲

The second book in the Seven Deadly Sins series picks up the overarching storyline of the threat to the brotherhood directly where book one leaves off, but obviously with a different brother as the Sin main character. I'm still good with the overall bad boy vibe - I still don't think it fits the morally grey bill as, again, Gluttony has zero compunction about doing very bad things to anyone who crosses him with no thought of redemption.

The plot is a good continuation of the action and mystery as well as filling in much of the back story for the brothers’ history with the dark fae. One of the things I had to adjust to - and this is definitely a me being old school thing - is how Gluttony’s sin manifests. I'm apparently very much a traditionalist because gluttony to me is all about food rather than material greed or hoarding. Once I'd talked myself around, though, that was OK.

When it comes to the relationship between Gluttony and Saeran…it's OK. I didn't really get as close a connection from these guys as I would have liked but it's a tricky balance to get right given that Saeran remembers all the history and Gluttony remembers nothing. I think that it was such a slow burn made all that pining on one side and ‘I don't know why I feel this way’ on the other more unbalanced for me. I'm giving this book 2.5* but I'm rounding up just because Gyro, Saeran’s guardian spectre, is adorable.

The first book in this series introduces us to a fascinating open-world urban fantasy setting and gives us a glimpse into the lives of the Sins and the global empire they rule. I was already invested, but book 2 blows this world wide open and adds amazing depth and intrigue to the external plot arc. The romance of this story is also much different from the first, with less overt spice and more deliciously heart-wrenching angst; however, both books would suffer from an unfair comparison when they have such different stories to tell. I'm especially interested in Moreau's unique takes on each of the Sins and their accompanying powers, separating them from traditional religious associations and developing a brand-new mythology that lends excellent development to both the external conflict and current and future romance arcs for this series. We've already gotten hints of how dramatic the next story will be, and I can't wait to read more in this world to see where this epic adventure goes.

Love!!

Gluttony by Sienna Moreau is book 2 in the Seven Deadly Sins series and it was even better than Lust’s book. I think having a basic understanding of this world helped in this one a lot. There was so much action here and we learned much more about Conor, the Dark and Light Fae, and other things. I absolutely loved Saeran. What an amazing character! He is the only one that remembers the past and it has been haunting him for a very long time. Gluttony was a great character too and the way he was drawn to Saeran was wonderful. The pining was top-notch from Saeran and I loved getting glimpses of what may happen in book 3. I don’t want to give too much away, but the ending was great with Deacon and Saeran. I cannot wait to read Envy’s story and how that is going to work with Lazarus/Raven. I could not put this one down.

Gluttony picks up right where Lust leaves off, so this series definitely needs to be read in order. Gluttony, one of the big, bad Sin brothers, is all about destruction—he thrives on chaos and has a tough, no-nonsense personality. Yet, beneath all that brutality, there’s an undeniable depth to him, and his hoarding habit adds a surprising and hilarious layer.
His dynamic with Saeran is perfection. They complement each other in ways that make their story gripping and emotionally satisfying. I was completely invested—so much so that I even emailed the author with a question, only to later realize the answer was right there all along (cue the forehead slap moment!).
Like Lust, this book also ends with an HFN, which makes the wait for Envy even more agonizing. I already have a strong feeling about where his relationship is heading, and I just know it’s going to be amazing. But 2026 feels so far away!

The first book was so intriguing, I loved the world building around the Seven Deadly Sins - the brothers really pulled me into the story. Book one left off in a bit of a plot cliffhanger so I was eagerly awaiting book two- and it did not disappoint! There’s some fun tension created in the house around Conor- Deacon’s long lost brother. I enjoyed the sense that trouble was coming soon, it makes this a compelling read. I also thought making Gluttony kind of hoarder was a clever take on this particular sin, and not what I expected. There is a real sadness as well, Saeran has been living for ages with the memories of his past life with Gluttony. The author does an amazing job showing the depth of Saeran’s pain and longing. Fantastic world building, complex characters, and a twisty fun plot. Love this series!

Oh my heart! I loved these two so very much. Saeran has been through so much and needs to be protected at costs, thankfully Gluttony is determined to do exactly that. You know an author is exceptional when each addition to the series makes you love the existing characters even more & that’s the case with Gluttony. We get to know the Sins better and I’m now in desperate need of Envy’s story. I love how their sin is seamlessly incorporated into the characters personalities as well. Gluttony & Saeran remind me of Famine & Lucy if you’ve read Sienna’s Horseman series. They have such a rich backstory and the angst with this one… my heart. Such an amazing addition to the series.

Wow, Gluttony. Not a nice guy. Powerful, violent, possessive of his things, uncaring about anything else. He’s an interesting backdrop to the additional world building and slow reveal of what happened and what’s coming. He’s the anti-hero you didn’t know you wanted.
Saeran is the key to a lot of the story, as he’s one of the few people left in existence who remembers what happened. His sacrifice has kept his people alive but also kept him separated from his mate.
When the two come together, the tension is insane even though Gluttony doesn’t remember Saeran. Their reuniting throughout the book is tense, emotional, violent, and just perfect.
Another HFN as the overarching story continues but will also leave you eagerly anticipating the next book!

What a fabulous second book in the series. I had to reread Lust before starting this as it had been too long and I couldn't fully remember what had happened.

This time it is Gluttony's turn to have his world turned upside down and everything he and the other Sin's thought was the truth turned on its head.

Saeren has been trying to hold what's left of his world together on this side of the shroud, to the detriment of his own health. But the events that happened because of Conor in Lust mean that everything is changing and danger is coming for all of them.

This slow burn second chance romance between Saeren and Gluttony wasn't short on action, danger and old secrets coming out.

I can't wait for Envy's book next and to see where the path takes them all next.

This story follows right on the heels of the first, Lust, and it is best to read them in order. This couple, Gluttony and Saeran are caught in a kind of strange interplay. There is what was, there is what can be now, there is longing, there is lack of patience, and there are also lots of plot twists and turns which leaves us with a happy for now and a series that beacons us to continue to follow it, so I will. I want to know. I did like the interactions between Saeran and Gluttony. The gifts Saeran gave carefully to connect to his loved one but also to protect his people. I do not want to include spoilers but will say that I am looking forward to the next book.

Lots to unpack in this instalment. You get the Sins history, which helps to start carving out how everyone got where they were, but not enough to say the story is over. Saeran is a very strong character to remember all the heartache and to make the decision to keep his people safe all those years. And Gluttony, who is distrusting of almost everyone take very little time to decide what Saeran is going to be to him. This is instalment teased us with some information, but there are still more questions than answers. I can't wait for Envy's book.

What an awesome read. Gluttony is a sin and is part of the ruling class. Saeran s a dark fae who was the king. After the Light destroyed his kingdom, he came over to earth and tried to stay safe. With the Sins losing their memories, he was the only one that remembered. When they met, Gluttony couldn’t put him out of his mind. I love this world as we get to know more history of what happened hundred of years before. Great chemistry and heat between the MCs. You will need to read Lust as these stories have an overlaying arc. Cannot wait for the next book.

The premise of one character who can remember everything in love with one who remembers nothing sounded like a recipe for an angsty, heartbreaker and that was definitely true here. Saeran and Gluttony desperately need to have long detailed conversations, but that doesn't happen for various reasons built into this world and the overarching plot of this series. As with others I've read in the series, Moreau never builds the character I expect for the deadly sin and that makes each one a fascinating read.

I loved Gluttony. He stayed faithful not knowing or understanding why. He even got angry at times his own brothers touched him. Saeran has loves Gluttony from afar. Hes determination to stay away keeps both himself and other dark fae safe, but its been slowly killing him.

We do get some answers to questions raised in Lust and we get a few more questions in thia story. I cant wait for Envys story.

part 2 and great

I really appreciated how Gluttony was written to showcase his sin. Part 2 of this series continues to dive into the clear themes of troubles these fae and Demi-gods are experiencing. It isn’t super sexy but the relationship development was really good.
