I’ve stood fast on reading each and every installment to this series, I was eagerly waiting for the release of this installment due to the fact that I fell in love with Fionn in Tynan’s book…….. So, imagine my delight when I received the e-mail from the author stating that she was sending out an early copy of this book

The hero is supposed to be “obsessed” with the heroine, but he’s in a sex club getting a BJ from OW while thinking about the heroine.🤢😪 And this happens after they’ve slept together…🤡

This is so disappointing because I have been waiting for Fionn’s book, only for it to turn out to be an unsafe book.😑🥲😡

Here is the scene:

“Want me to help you with that?”
Fucking hell.
Looking over, I find another woman, a curvy one with black hair, glancing at the outline of my dick.
And I swear she looks like Emily.
Little rabbit.
My heart beats, the hollowness she left behind filling me up with desperation, even while I know this isn’t her. But she’s not here, and all I’m left with is a lie.
“What’s your name?” I ask.
She runs a finger over a bare nipple, and I imagine it’s Emily. Not whoever this woman is.
“Cassandra.”
“I grab my belt buckle and undo it, glaring hard through my black mask. “Tonight, you’re Emily. Understand?”

Well, you better strap yourself in and hold on tight! This book was a wild ride right from the jump! From a whirlwind meeting to a sexy one night stand, a secret baby and a clandestine reunion... Filthy Savage just doesn't quit! Fionn and Amara were electric together and they just clicked the night they met.

Amara just so happened to go by a fake name that night and after dumping her abusive boyfriend and going to a wedding with Fionn (yes, the same night!) She doesn't think he'll ever look for her. Too bad he doesn't even have the chance because he's now searching for an "Emily" that doesn't exist.

When they run into each other years later. Things have changed quite a bit. Fionn is in the middle of mob business and Amara sees more than she should. When he tracks down the little spy, he discovers his dream girl... and her sweet little daughter. Yup. Oops! Now there is more to that situation, of course, so don't judge it too harshly off that description. I really liked the Secret Baby aspect actually. And I'm a hard sell for those.

Once Fionn has her in his arms again, he ain't ever letting his woman go. Whether she's compliant or not. She's his.

Now, all that is good. I had a great time overall. I just have a few tiny issues. I'm starting to feel a very similar vibe from each and every hero in this series and previous ones. They all like some kink. They all are possessive in the same way. It just starts to feel very same-y.

Anyway! This was still a decent Mafia Romance and if you like some revenge against an ex, this has a particular treat for you.

I think I was just expecting more from this. The insta-love/lust had me cringing—it felt too fast and too forced, and I couldn’t shake the ick.

Every time the MMC opened his mouth, I was side-eyeing him like… be so for real 😒
And don’t even get me started on that club scene—just no.

Honestly, I can’t even pinpoint what I did like. The whole plot felt overly dramatic and flamboyant, like can we just have a little peace?? I knew that guy was sketchy the moment he showed up, so no surprises there.

In the end, it never felt like they truly fell in love—it all felt unfinished, like the emotional connection never actually happened.

The HELL NO’s outweigh the good parts

I like this author, I enjoyed the other connected series, but after three disappointing books I’m convinced this series is NOT for me. And I already hate the lead-in for the next book, so that’s not promising either.

When you fuck it up at the beginning, it sets the tone for the rest of the book. And this had DNF vibes in a few places for me. I will admit that I like the world, I enjoyed the overall storyline, and I didn’t hate the second half of the book. But once you’ve been put off by some hard no’s, it’s hard to recover.

Things that annoy me: main characters having sex with other people and long separations.

After a ONS leaves Fionn allegedly completely obsessed with finding Amara (who he knows as Emily), he gets a BJ in a sex club. Totally killed the “I’m so obsessed” vibe imo. 🙄 Maybe the author doesn’t truly understand the definition of the word obsessed?

He straight up lies to her the first time they get back together as well. He asks her how many men she has been with since him, saying he wants to know how many men he needs to kill. When she says none, he is shocked. He responded with “neither have I… I haven’t fucked anyone after you.” Apparently getting blow jobs from strangers in a sex club doesn’t count?? Maybe because he pretended it was her? 🙄 What a fucking douche. We only see the one BJ on page, but know he continues to frequent the club over the years. And since he doesn’t consider a BJ as actually having sex, who knows how many he’s had over the years.

Time jumps- we jump a few months at a time from their ONS until after their baby is born. TBH I had to flip ahead to see how long until they actually were reunited to see if it was even worth it to continue reading. I hate when the book is mostly them separated. FIVE YEARS. That’s how long they are apart. And a very good chunk of the book.

When they finally, finally, are reconnecting around 40% in, they immediately jump into a highly implausible and frankly eye roll inducing sexual encounter. She accidentally witnesses him killing someone, realizes it’s him and decides she was all wrong about him, and flees for her life. Before she can run with their daughter, he catches up to her with intentions of killing her too. Only when he realizes it HER, and that they have a daughter, he decides they’re getting married and he wants into her pants. From his side- sure, he’s horny. But she’s supposed to be traumatized and afraid for her life, for her daughter’s life…. No way she’s forgetting all of that at just a touch… but the body betrayal syndrome is strong 🙄

Unfortunately it made it impossible for me to enjoy the long and descriptive scene at all. I found myself speed reading past it mostly. This is a woman whose mother neglected her in the worst ways all her life, choosing everything else over her. I find it hard to believe she’d toss aside all concern for her daughter’s well being for a few orgasms herself. Her internal monologue was all “well I’ll worry about that tomorrow. I deserve this”. You know, things her junkie whore mom likely said while neglecting her all her life 🙄 If it had been even the very next day, after he forced their marriage and she maybe thought she’d make the most of the cards she’d been dealt, I would have found it easier to swallow.

This begins the spiral of the story being mostly sex and some plot sprinkled in. I’m all for smut, but come on. She lost all brain cells. Also time and place. She actually lets him finger bang her loudly in the car **in front of her 4 yo**, complete with graphic dirty talk, because he tells her “she can’t hear us over the speakers” 🙄🙄 This is the woman who wanted a different life for her daughter than she had 🤦‍♀️

Moving on… the betrayal came out of nowhere, and was probably the best part. This author is good, she can write an entertaining story. But I’m really concerned that she might hate women. This series has been anger inducing for me, and I already DON’T want the next couple to be together, so I think I need to tap out.

I wanted to wait for the ARCs to come out before I left my official review. I also wanted to do a re-read, as I'm sure there were some changes, even if they were minor, i wanted to be true to the review.
I can confidently say, you are not ready for Fionn!! 🖤🔥

The way this man is obsessed with Amara is absolutely by far the most intense!
A ONS four years ago sent him a wild search for her. All he had was a name and a city. Too bad it was the wrong name.

Amara, struggling to stay financially afloat, takes on a job as a hotel cleaner. In a "wrong place, wrong time" situation, she finds herself witness to a murder. Who is the assailant? Fionn!
When he comes to learn who his witness is, he is floored. He has spent the last 4 years tearing through cities looking for her. He hasn't been with anyone else since her. He cannot believe that he has finally found her. And not only has he found her, he meets the cutest little girl - Fia. The moment he meets her, he knows she is his daughter. He is determined to make sure Amara never gets away from him again, and wants to build a life with his girls. He forces Amara to mary him as protection. Amara is scared and reluctant. This is not a life she wanted for herself or her daughter, however Fion has had her heart all these years.
Their story is full of plot twists that you will not see coming. We get to see more of our favourite characters from previous books as they continue to play an important role in each other's lives.

Amara is a selfless, hard working and determined woman. She may start off as soft and vulnerable, but she really rises like a Phoenix from the ashes.
We also get a sneak peek into Cillian's story, which I know everyone is excited about!

Lilian Harris is an auto-buy author for me. In other words, she writes it, I read it. no questions asked. She's a phenomenal writer who gives her characters so much life. As a reader, you become fully immersed in the story, that you can imagine yourself there, bearing witness to their story.

Filthy Savage was an okay read. While there were elements I enjoyed, the overall storyline wasn’t really my favorite.

It’s dual POVs of the main characters and there are some great tropes like a forced marriage, age gap, accidental pregnancy, found family, and a possessive hero.

The overall premise was decent. It was low stakes with not a lot of drama, so I did get a bit bored at times. The mafia aspect wasn’t as prominent as I had been expecting either. There were some time jumps as well, which weren’t my favorite to be honest.

But there were still some amusing, spicy, heartfelt and interesting moments. I did like all the side characters as well.

The romance was okay. They had some steamy, intense, and kinky moments.

I will say though, while he was mostly celibate during their 5 year separation there was just one moment that he was sexual with someone else. This was literally a few months after the heroine disappeared and he was thinking of her the entire time. But it was still disappointing to read.

Overall, an okay read just not really my favorite.

Lilian writes another book and how can I not love it?! I inhaled this book!
The book started with a bang, with insane chemistry and explosive romance and I just wanted to stay in it. Fionn was a goner from the moment he saw Amara and I loved that!!
Although it got a little slow after the first few chapters, I was so looking forward to see the couple reunite. It was such a good time reading this!!

Amara was such a pure soul with a kinky side to her 🤭 Fionn was a super swoony Daddy (both in and outside the bedroom) I loved both of them together and baby Fia was so sweet!

As always, the story was full of twists and I was so amazed by the writing!! Can't wait for Cillian's book!

But the story of Amara and Fionn begins with a single night, a single encounter that will mark them forever. Fionn will not stop looking for her, completely obsessed, and I found this too implausible. I also didn't like something he does after losing her... these two things lower my rating.

The book is full of tropes, twists, betrayal and revenge, but also tender and passionate moments. As we've come to expect from this series, there's a plot twist that's sure to surprise you.

Lilian always delivers, I absolutely love every book she releases and this was no different. She’s my go-to mafia author and after getting glimpses at Fionn previously I had been 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 for his story. She has this way of bringing her characters to life on the page and writing all consuming stories I devour within hours every single time.

This story was swoony, emotional, witty and heartwarming while having Lilian’s signature edge of your seat suspense, twists and high steam spice.

Here’s some thoughts…
⊹ i will forever swoon for a ruthless mafia enforcer who is soft for his girl. fionn is everything.
⊹ our girl amara has been through it but she’s so strong and determined.
⊹ the friendship with emily was a highlight, we all need an emily in our lives.
⊹ the chemistry. hot damn. these two were fire.
⊹ the way he is completely captivated by her + will do anything to protect and support her was everything.
⊹ he’s so obsessed. he searches for her for 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨.
⊹ the way he stepped up immediately with no hesitation for amara + her sweet girl.
⊹ the time jumps made my head spin for a while there.
⊹ the breeding schick. one of my faves + lilian did it SO well.
⊹ i adored how he softened for her.
⊹ fia is adorable and i loved the bond her + fionn had.
⊹ fernanda’s support and love for amara. she is a queen.

I really love the Quinn family, the cameos here were great, the sibling banter a highlight and I cannot wait for Cillian’s story after those breadcrumbs we were fed!

I couldn’t help but crush over Fionn who’s alpha perfection and will do anything for Amara, his strong and stunning soulmate. I felt the instant connection between Amara and Fionn. The way they are attuned to each other is electric. Incredible. Undeniable.

A body-owning, breath-stealing, fierce feeling force, Filthy Savage burns in the best way. My kindle and I were both on fire! I felt the dangerous twists and turns, steamy heat, and soulmate love. I reveled in this romance. Living in Harris’ Savage Kings world is incredible and I can’t wait for more!!!

I love secret baby trope, I normally hate mafia trope. This book reminded me why I hate mafia trope.

Amara was TSTL she was like a human Eeyore and I don’t understand why anyone would want to be friends/married to her. “I’m ugly” “I’m fat” “I’m poor” woe is me. Her fucking dog ran away ( got dog napped) and she’s still harping about it 5 years later. She tells ppl she wants to go to college and become a paralegal (is that even a prestigious job?)

Fionn was just a prototypical mafia book dude. Nothing stood out special about him. But when he wasn’t being a hotelier/mafia killer he mastered shibari??

Amaras lost family/plot twist story line was so far fetched and convoluted it literally made no sense.
There was just so much extra nonsense like the author was trying to hit a specific word count- I don’t need whole conversations with waitresses and what they’re ordering tbh I skimmed a lot cuz I didnt care.

confession: i love a secret baby.

fionn and amara had instant chemistry. there was a lot of push and pull throughout the story, but especially in the beginning.

all the time jumps left me gaping, staring into the void… but i realize they served a purpose, and i ultimately appreciated them in the long run.

listen, was fionn kinda over the top more often than not? mhmmm. but he was the good type of crazy in my opinion.

last thing i want to say is LILLIAN HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THESE TWISTS?? i’ve been caught with my mouth hanging open, eyes wide with disbelief at every book i’ve read from her so far. i’m excited to read the next in the series!

Фіонн максимально веде себе як джентельмен. Селить її в гарному номері, запрошує стати його парою на весіллі, дарує їй сукню і тд.
І ось вони проводять разом ніч, і на ранок, коли Фіонн прокидається, то її немає. І він починає її шукати.
Виявляється що дівчина назвала не справжнє ім'я та прізвище.

От тут я цього приколу не зрозуміла.🙄

Амара дізнається що вона вагітна, і вона йде від матері, яка зіпсувала її життя.

Проходить 4 роки, і Фіонн весь час шукав її, і ось за випадковим збігом він її знаходить.


Ну таке... якось банально просто, і не цікаво.

Pasaron tantas cosas en este libro que no se por donde empezar (encima tiene mil tropes en un solo libro ¡Cosa que ame!)

La historia comienza con Amara quién esta de viaje con su novio pero termina llorando cuando su mayor miedo se confirma y descubre que el la esta engañando y cuando lo enfrenta decidida a ponerse en primer lugar y darse a respetar el la maltrata razón por la que Fionn se acerca para ayudarla sin saber que sus vidas cambiarían para siempre...

Las horas que Amara y Fionn pasaron juntos y la aventura de una noche que tuvieron demostró en ese corte tiempo que ellos tenían mucha química y la manera en la que el se preocupaba por ella era algo muy lindo porque a pesar de conocerse durante horas el descubrió que ella era una mujer que no era tratada con el amor que merecía y que la hizo sentir muy valiosa y le dió una seguridad, cariño e importancia que nunca recibió en su vida 😭❤️.

¡Que fue esa brecha de tiempo! La verdad es que estaba muy ansiosa esperando el momento del reencuentro porque pasaron muchos años y no fui fan de eso pero valió la pena la espera. El reencuentro fue totalmente diferente a la primera vez que se conocieron porque acá Amara descubrió que Fionn era un hombre de la Mafia y que detrás de ese hombre encantador que la enamoro existía alguien peligroso que mataría por proteger a los suyos y eso la asustó pero el le demostró que tanto a ella como a su pequeña las protegería siempre y que su oscuridad nunca las dañaría, se esforzo mucho para demostrar que nunca les haría daño y el amor con el que reclamó a Fia como suya ayudo muchísimo porque le dió a Amara la familia que siempre soño 🥺♥️.

Ame el gran plot twist que hubo al final del libro la verdad es que siempre sospeche que pasaría algo pero no pensé que fuera a ser todo tan loco y la traición se sintió mucho porque realmente fue inesperada y la verdad ¡Me encanto! El final es todo lo que está bien 🫂

Wow - I really loved this book! I have been a fan of Lilian’s mafia books for a while, and I think Fionn might just be my favorite character yet!!! I am completely obsessed with Fionn & Amara 🤩🤩🤩

Amara has had to work hard for every single thing in her life. She had to drop out of school to support her mother. Life has really beaten her down and when her boyfriend takes her away for a trip, she doesn’t expect to catch him cheating…Fionn steps in and they end spending a very steamy night together. She gives a fake name and disappears….

Fionn was completely obsessed with Amara after their one night together. He goes to the ends of the earth looking for her…and when he eventually runs into her years later, he is all in - especially when he finds out about her daughter. I LOVED the scenes with Fionn and Fia!

Amara’s story is truly heartbreaking - she is smart and strong and we really see that come out. I loved how her confidence grew once she had a safe and supportive space to be herself. She had to come to terms with who Fionn really is - I especially loved how supportive and accepting his family was!

Fionn notices every detail about her and gives her everything she could have ever asked for. He is protective and a little unhinged, but what’s a mafia romance without a few red flags?

This is book three in the Savage Kings series and it can be read as a standalone.

First off, I love this family of siblings! This take place right after how book two ended with a perfect segue to Fionn's story! Perhaps a bit too insta-lust for me personally (but those who love it will love this), regardless, I was taken by Fionn's initial caring hesitation of the somewhat shy Amara.

She comes from meager beginnings and I really liked that about her (and her being a shorty at 5ft).

Her hesitation at believing he's not into her at the beginning, I found frustrating though, because this man clearly makes it known with his body language, buying her gifts, and by what he says that he's very attracted to her. I actually really respected Fionn in that he was trying to protect her and be honorable to some degree.

This man though, absolutely love him like all the rest of our boys in the series (i still have a big soft spot for Devlin though)! They are all so loyal and protective of their family. Though I do prefer books one and two more, this is a solid one of you especially like all these tropes! Also speaking Gaelic is soooo s3xy! I'm very excited for Cillian's story!
